Microwave diagnostics of pulsed atmospheric discharge with electrolytic electrode and long-lived luminous formation in its afterglow

The Gatchina discharge phenomenon holds significant promise as a laboratory model for simulating ball ***,crucial aspects concerning the plasma components of the resulting afterglow remain ***,the measurement of the electron density,a critical parameter,has not been fully achieved thus *** this study,microwave diagnostics and video recording were employed during a pulsed Gatchina discharge,along with synchronous measurement of discharge current and *** antennas were positioned at different heights to enable separate diagnosis of the discharge and the ensuing long-lived *** findings revealed that during the active phase of the Gatchina discharge,the plasma density was substantial enough to cause reflection of an electromagnetic wave with a frequency of 20 GHz from this highly conductive *** the afterglow,the signal experienced only a moderate weakening of 10–20 percent,facilitating the determination of the time dependence of average electron density during the afterglow's passage between the two *** measurements verified the unusually slow plasma decay in the afterglow of the Gatchina discharge,suggesting the potential significance of chemi-ionisation processes involving long-lived(metastable)particles.

Printed circuit boards(PCBs)are representative composite materials,and their high-quality drilling machining remains a persistent challenge in the *** finishing of the cutting edge of a microdrill is crucial to drill performance in machining fine-quality holes with a prolonged tool *** miniature size involving submicron scale geometric dimensions,a complex flute shape,and low fracture toughness makes the cutting edge of microdrills susceptible to breakage and has been the primary limiting factor in edge preparation for *** this study,a newly developed cutting edge preparation method for microdrills was tested experimentally on electronic printed circuit *** proposed method,namely,shear thickening polishing,limited the cutting edge burrs and chipping on the cutting edge,and this in turn transformed the cutting edge’s radius from being sharp to ***,the edge–edge radius could be regulated by adjusting the processing *** drilling experiments were conducted to investigate the influence of different cutting edge radii on wear,hole position accuracy,nail head value,and hole wall *** proposed approach showed 20%enhancement in hole position accuracy,33%reduction in the nail head value,and 19%reduction in hole wall roughness compared with the original ***,a threshold is needed;without it,excessive shear thickening polishing will result in a blunt edge,which may accelerate the wear of the *** was identified as the primary factor that reduced hole *** study indicates that in printed circuit board machining,microdrills should effectively eliminate grinding defects and maintain the sharpness of the cutting edge as much as possible to obtain excellent drilling ***,shear thickening polishing is a promising method for cutting edge preparation of *** research and optimization can lead to additional improvements in microdrill performance and contribute to the conti

ZNF554 Inhibits Endometrial Cancer Progression via Regulating RBM5 and Inactivating WNT/β-Catenin Signaling Pathway

Distal margin distance in radical resection of locally advanced rectal cancer after neoadjuvant therapy

Large-scale land-sea interactions extend ozone pollution duration in coastal cities along northern China

Land-sea atmosphere interaction(LSAI)is one of the important processes affecting ozone(O_(3))pollution in coastal *** effects of small-scale LSAIs like sea-land breezes have been widely ***,it is not fully clear how and to what extent the large-scale LSAIs affect O_(3) *** we explored an O_(3) episode to illuminate the role of large-scale LSAIs in O_(3) pollution over the BohaieYellow Seas and adjacent areas through observations and model *** results show that the northern Bohai Sea's coastal region,influenced by the Mongolian High,initially experienced a typical unimodal diurnal O_(3) variation for three days,when O_(3) precursors from BeijingeTianjineHebei,Shandong,and Northeast China were transported to the BohaieYellow *** reactions generated O_(3) within marine air masses,causing higher O_(3) levels over the seas than coastal *** the Mongolian High shifted eastward and expanded,southerly winds on its western edge transported O_(3)-rich marine air masses toward the coast,prolonging pollution for an additional three days and weakening diurnal ***,emissions from the Korean Peninsula and marine shipping significantly affected O_(3) levels in the northern Bohai Sea(10.7%and 13.7%,respectively).Notably,Shandong's emissions played a substantial role in both phases(27.5%and 26.1%,respectively).These findings underscore the substantial impact of large-scale LSAIs driven by the Mongolian High on O_(3) formation and pollution duration in coastal *** insight helps understand and manage O_(3) pollution in northern Bohai Sea cities and broadly applies to temperate coastal cities worldwide.

A Study on the Genetic Dynamics and Development Characteristics of Granitic Rock Avalanches in the Northern Qinling Mountains， China

Massive granitic rock avalanches are extensively developed in the middle section of the northern Qinling Mountains (NQM)， China. The current consensus is that their formation could have been connected with seismic events that occurred in the NQM. However， there is a lack of systematic discussion on the genetic dynamics of these rock avalanches. Hence， taking Earth system scientific research as a starting point， this paper systematically summarizes and discusses development characteristics， formation times and genetic dynamic mechanisms of granitic rock avalanches in the NQM based on geological investigations， high-precision remote sensing interpretations， geomorphological dating， geophysical exploration， and a large-scale shaking table model test. We identified 53 granitic rock avalanches in this area， with a single collapse area ranging from 0.01×106to 1.71×106m2. Their development time can be divided into six stages， namely， 107297～106289 years BP， 11870-11950 years BP， 11666～10279 years BP， 2260-2320 years BP， 1788-1925 years BP， and 1392～1661 years BP， which were closely related to multiple prehistoric or ancient earthquakes. We suggest that long-term coupling of internal and external earth dynamics was responsible for the granitic rock avalanches in the NQM; the internal dynamics were mainly related to subduction， collision and extrusion of different plates under the Qinling terrane， leading to the formation and tectonic uplift of the Qinling orogenic belt; and the external dynamics were closely associated with climate changes resulting in mountain denudation， freeze-thaw cycles and isostatic balance uplift. In this process， the formation and evolution of the Qinling orogenic belt play a geohazard-pregnant role， structural planes， including faults and joints， play a geohazard-controlled role， and earthquakes play a geohazard-induced role， which jointly results in the occurrence of large-scale granitic rock avalanches in the NQM. Ultrahigh-fidelity spatial mode quantum gates in high-dimensional space by diffractive deep neural networks

While the spatial mode of photons is widely used in quantum cryptography, its potential for quantum computation remains largely unexplored. Here, we showcase the use of the multi-dimensional spatial mode of photons to construct a series of high-dimensional quantum gates, achieved through the use of diffractive deep neural networks (D2NNs). Notably, our gates demonstrate high fidelity of up to 99.6(2)%, as characterized by quantum process tomography. Our experimental implementation of these gates involves a programmable array of phase layers in a compact and scalable device, capable of performing complex operations or even quantum circuits. We also demonstrate the efficacy of the D2NN gates by successfully implementing the Deutsch algorithm and propose an intelligent deployment protocol that involves self-configuration and self-optimization. Moreover, we conduct a comparative analysis of the D2NN gate’s performance to the wave-front matching approach. Overall, our work opens a door for designing specific quantum gates using deep learning, with the potential for reliable execution of quantum computation.
