This study evaluated the simulated cloud radiative feedbacks(CRF)during the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO)cycle in the latest version of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences climate system model(CAMS-CSM).We conducted two experimental model simulations:the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project(AMIP),forced by the observed sea surface temperature(SST);and the preindustrial control(PIcontrol),a coupled run without flux *** found that both the experiments generally reproduced the observed features of the shortwave and longwave cloud radiative forcing(SWCRF and LWCRF)*** AMIP run exhibited better simulation performance in the magnitude and spatial distribution than the PIcontrol ***,the simulation biases in SWCRF and LWCRF feedbacks were linked to the biases in the representation of the corresponding total cloud cover and precipitation *** is interesting to further find that the simulation bias originating in the atmospheric component was amplified in the PIcontrol run,indicating that the coupling aggravated the simulation *** the PIcontrol run exhibited an apparent mean SST cold bias over the cold tongue,the precipitation response to the SST anomaly(SSTA)changes during the ENSO cycle occurred towards the relatively warmer western equatorial ***,the corresponding cloud cover and CRF shifted westward and showed a weaker magnitude in the PIcontrol run versus observational *** contrast,the AMIP run was forced by the observational SST,hence representing a more realistic *** results demonstrate the challenges of simulating CRF in coupled *** study also underscores the necessity of realistically representing the climatological mean state when simulating CRF during the ENSO cycle.

There is great controversy regarding the origin and source of natural gas in the Lower Triassic Feix-ianguan Formation in the Eastern Sichuan *** seriously restricts the study of natural gas dy-namics in the Feixianguan Formation and thus hampers natural gas exploration in the region,so further study is urgently *** experimental tests of natural gas composition,stable isotopes,and noble gas isotopes with gas chromatography(GC)and mass spectrometry(MS)studies of source rock and reservoir asphalt saturated hydrocarbons,the natural gas geochemical characteristics,the genetic identification and a gas-source comparison of the Feixianguan Formation were ***,con-strained by the thermal history,the histories of gas generation and expulsion were restored by basin simulation ***,a gas accumulation model was established for the Feixianguan *** results showed that(1)the H_(2)S-rich and H2S-poor gas reservoirs of the Feixianguan Formation are distributed on the east and west sides of the Kaijiang-Liangping trough in the Eastern Sichuan Basin,*** carbon and hydrogen isotope compositions of the natural gas in the gas reservoirs are generally heavy and have typical characteristics of high-maturity dry gas reservoirs.(2)The natural gas of the Feixianguan Formation is organic thermogenic gas,which is mainly oil-type gas generated by the secondary cracking of crude *** gas-generating parent material is mainly type II kerogen.(3)The natural gas of the Feixianguan Formation in the Eastern Sichuan Basin was mainly generated by argil-laceous source rocks of the Upper Permian Longtan Formation.(4)Natural gas accumulation occurred as follows:the paleo-structure heights were filled with crude oil in the Early Jurassic,and paleo-oil res-ervoirs were formed in the Feixianguan Formation;during the Middle-Late Jurassic,the paleo-oil res-ervoirs were cracked when the reservoir temperatures rose above 160 C,and paleo-gas reservoi

In order to prepare high toughness(Ti,Zr,Nb,Ta,Mo)C ceramics at low temperatures while maintaining high hardness,a liquid-phase sintering process combined with Co-based liquid-phase extrusion strategy was adopted in this *** densification temperature can be lowered to 1350℃,which is much lower than the solid-state sintering temperature(~2000℃)generally employed for high-entropy carbide *** sintered at 1550℃and 30 MPa applied pressure,part of the Co-based liquid-phase was squeezed out of the graphite mold,such that only~3.21 vol%of Co remained in the high-entropy *** to the Co-free solid-state sintered(Ti,Zr,Nb,Ta,Mo)C ceramics,prepared at 2000℃and 35 MPa,the hardness was slightly decreased from 25.06±0.32 to 24.11±0.75 GPa,but the toughness was increased from 2.25±0.22 to 4.07±0.13 MPa·m^(1/2).This work provides a new strategy for low-temperature densification of high-entropy carbides with both high hardness and high toughness.

The formations of defective MgC12 surfaces, and subsequent adsorption of Ti species and electron donor, as well as propylene polymerization over the ziegler-Natta catalyst have been investigated using density functional theory （DFT） method. Twelve possible support models of regular and defective MgC12 （110） and （100） surfaces were built. The individual adsorptions of titanium chlorides as mononuclear or dinuclear, and ethyl benzoate （EB） as electron donor, on these models were evaluated. The analysis of energies presented the cases of EB adsorption were generally more stable than titanium chlorides on both surfaces. Thus, EB as internal electron donor mainly prevented TIC14 from coordinating on the MgC12 surfaces where mostly non-stereospecific active sites could be formed. Exceptionally, A5 the site model with terminal Cl-vacancy on the MgC12 support, presented stronger adsorption of TiCl4 than that of EB on （110） surface. Since the TIC14 and ethyl benzoate （EB） would compete to adsorb on the support surface, it seems reasonable to assume that TIC14 might predominately occupy this site, which can act as the most plausible active site for propylene polymerization. The first insertion of propylene monomer into the A5 active site model showed that it exhibited good regioselectivity but poor stereospecificity in the absence of electron donor.

The present study analyzed the predictive value of combined analysis of collapsin response mediator protein 4 （CRMP4） methylation levels and the Cancer of the Prostate Risk Assessment （CAPRA-S） Postsurgical score of patients who required adjuvant hormone therapy （AHT） after radical prostatectomy （RP）, We retrospectively analyzed 305 patients with prostate cancer （PCa） who received RP and subsequent androgen deprivation therapy （ADT）. Two hundred and thirty patients with clinically high-risk PCa underwent immediate ADT, and 75 patients with intermediate risk PCa underwent deferred ADT. CRMP4 methylation levels in biopsies were determined, and CAPRA-S scores were calculated. In the deferred ADT group, the values of the hazard ratios for tumor progression and cancer-specific mortality （CSM） in patients with 〉15% CRMP4 methylation were 6.81 （95% CI, 2.34-19.80） and 12.83 （95% CI. 2.16-26.10）, respectively. Receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that CRMP4 methylation levels 〉15% served as a significant prognostic marker of tumor progression and CSM. In the immediate ADT group, CAPRA-S scores ：〉6 and CRMP4 methylation levels ：〉15% were independent predictors of these outcomes （uni- and multi-variable Cox regression analyses）. The differences in the 5-year progression-free survival between each combination were statistically significant. Combining CAPRA-S score and CRMP4 methylation levels improved the area under the curve compared with the CRMP4 or CAPRA-S model. Therefore, CRMP4 methylation levels ：〉15% were significantly associated with a poor prognosis and their combination with CAPRA-S score accurately predicted tumor progression and metastasis for patients requiring AHT after RP.

Lanthipeptides are one of the largest groups of ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides(RiPPs)and are characterized by the presence of lanthionine(Lan)or methyllanthionine residues(MeLan).Only very few lanthipeptides contain a C-terminal 2-aminovinyl-cysteine(AviCys)motif,but all of them show potent antibacterial *** advances of genome sequencing led to the rapid accumulation of new biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)for *** this study,through our genome mining strategy,we found the AviCys containing lanthipeptides are widespread in the bacterial kingdom.A lanthipeptide-type biosynthetic gene cluster was identified from public bacterial genome *** new lanthipeptides,daspyromycins A and B(1 and 2)containing AviCys motif,along with two degraded products,daspyromycins C and D(3 and 4),were obtained after heterologous expression of the gene cluster in Streptomyces albus *** A and B showed potent antimicrobial activity against a spectrum of Gram-positive and-negative bacteria including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)and vancomycin-resistant Enterococci(VRE).

After spinal cord injury(SCI),astrocytes gradually migrate to and surround the lesion,depositing chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan-rich extracellular matrix and forming astrocytic scar,which limits the spread of inflammation but hinders axon ***,microglia gradually accumulate at the lesion border to form microglial scar and can polarize to generate a pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype or an anti-inflammatory M2 ***,the effect of microglia polarization on astrocytes is ***,we found that both microglia(CX3 CR1^(+))and astrocytes(GFAP^(+))gathered at the lesion border at 14 days post-injury(dpi).The microglia accumulated along the inner border of and in direct contact with the astrocytes.M1-type microglia(i NOS^(+)CX3 CR1^(+))were primarily observed at 3 and 7 dpi,while M2-type microglia(Arg1^(+)CX3 CR1^(+))were present at larger numbers at 7 and 14 *** growth factor-β1(TGFβ1)was highly expressed in M1 microglia in vitro,consistent with strong expression of TGFβ1 by microglia in vivo at 3 and 7 dpi,when they primarily exhibited an M1 ***,conditioned media from M1-type microglia induced astrocytes to secrete chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan in *** effect was eliminated by knocking down sex-determining region Y-box 9(SOX9)in astrocytes and could not be reversed by treatment with TGFβ*** together,our results suggest that microglia undergo M1 polarization and express high levels of TGFβ1 at 3 and 7 dpi,and that M1-type microglia induce astrocytes to deposit chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan via the TGFβ1/SOX9 *** study was approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Anhui Medical University,China(approval ***20160052)on March 1,2016.
