A DFT study of two-dimensional P_2Si monolayer modified by single transition metal(Sc-Cu)atoms for efficient electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction

In the present work,a stable two-dimensional(2D)P_(2)Si monolayer was *** monolayer is semimetallic/metallic under the PBE/HSE06 functional and is mechanically *** stability of the P_(2)Si monolayer has been proved via cohesive energy,mechanical criteria,molecular dynamics simulation,and phonon dispersion respectively,and the monolayer possesses high carrier mobility which is three times that of Mo S_(2).On the other hand,the catalytic performance of the P_(2)Si monolayer modified with a single transition metals(M=Sc-Cu)atom for the electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)was investigated,and the monolayer can catalyze CO_(2)with three constraints:stable molecular dynamics,high migration potential of metal atoms,and suitable band gap for electrocatalyst after metal doping exhibiting excellent catalytic stabilization activity and CRR *** addition,the reduction product of V@P_(2)Si is HCOOH with an overpotential as low as 0.75 V,and the most suitable reaction path is^(*)CO_(2)→^(*)CHOO→O^(*)CHOH→^(*)+HCOOH with the final reduction product HCOOH *** a whole,the above results endow the P_(2)Si monolayer to be a good 2D material holding great promises for applications in nanoelectronics and CO_(2)reduction catalysts.

In the past decade, the sudden rise of high-entropy alloys(HEAs) has become a research hotspot in the domain of metal materials. HEAs break through the design concept of traditional single-principal element alloys, and the four core effects, especially the high entropy and cocktail effects, make HEAs exhibit much better corrosion resistance than traditional corrosion-resistant metal materials, e.g., stainless steels, copper-nickel alloys, and high-nickel alloys. Currently, the corrosion resistance of HEAs causes great concern in the field of corrosion research. This article reviews the corrosion behavior and mechanism of HEAs in various aqueous solutions, revealing the correlation among the composition, microstructure and corrosion resistance of HEAs, and elaborates the influence of heat treatment, anodizing treatment and preparation methods on the corrosion behavior of HEAs. This knowledge will benefit the on-demand design of corrosion-resistant HEAs, which is an important trend of future development. Finally, perspectives regarding the corrosion research of HEAs are outlined to guide future studies.

An extrahepatic arterioportal fistula(APF) involving the gastroduodenal artery and superior mesenteric vein is rare and mostly results from iatrogenic *** clinical symptoms associated with APFs may include abdominal pain,gastrointestinal bleeding,ascites,nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,or even congestive heart *** present the case of a 70-year-old man who presented with chronic abdominal pain and gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to APF and portal vein *** endovascular embolization of APF was accomplished successfully,and symptoms of portal hypertension resolved immediately after ***,the patient did not respond well to anticoagulation therapy with ***,the patient underwent implantation of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt,and the complications of portal hypertension *** conclusion,the embolization of APF is technically feasible and effective and can be considered the first-choice therapy in selected patients.

BACKGROUND Polyneuropathy,organomegaly,endocrinopathy,M-protein,and skin changes(POEMS)syndrome is a rare paraneoplastic syndrome caused by a plasma cell proliferative *** syndrome is characterized by elevated plasma cells,platelets,and vascular endothelial growth factor *** heart disease rarely occurs in POEMS syndrome,the death rate increases sharply after heart *** report a patient who initially presented with an endocrine disease and developed congestive heart failure related to POEMS syndrome 9 years *** SUMMARY A 23-year-old woman with no history of menstruation and a 9-year history of type I diabetes reported feeling breathless after *** could not lie down and rest at *** months prior,she experienced pain and increased tension in her left thigh accompanied by tenderness and edema in both lower *** chief complaint upon hospital admission was that blood sugar has increased for more than 9 years,pain in the left thigh,and edema in both legs for more than 2 *** a multisystem evaluation,she was diagnosed with POEMS *** echocardiogram showed left ventricular dilation with systolic dysfunction,and the left ventricular ejection fraction was only 38%with severely elevated brain natriuretic *** received a combination of dexamethasone and thalidomide for 1 mo,but her symptoms did not ***,we added a two-per-week bortezomib *** 2 wk,the patient’s heart function had improved *** This case provides information about the treatment of POEMS syndrome with complications and highlights the challenges of developing a standardized treatment.

A biosensor is an analytical device used for the detection of analytes,which combines a biological component with a physicochemical ***,an increasing number of biosensors have been used in clinical research,for example,the blood glucose *** review focuses on the current state of biosensor research with respect to efficient,specific and rapid detection of hepatitis B virus(HBV).The biosensors developed based on different techniques,including optical methods(e.g.,surface plasmon resonance),acoustic wave technologies(e.g.,quartz crystal microbalance),electrochemistry(amperometry,voltammetry and impedance) and novel nanotechnology,are also discussed.

Research Data Management(RDM)has become increasingly important for more and more academic *** the Peking University Open Research Data Repository(PKU-ORDR)project as an example,this paper will review a library-based university-wide open research data repository project and related RDM services implementation process including project kickoff,needs assessment,partnerships establishment,software investigation and selection,software customization,as well as data curation services and *** the review,some issues revealed during the stages of the implementation process are also discussed and addressed in the paper such as awareness of research data,demands from data providers and users,data policies and requirements from home institution,requirements from funding agencies and publishers,the collaboration between administrative units and libraries,and concerns from data providers and *** significance of the study is that the paper shows an example of creating an Open Data repository and RDM services for other Chinese academic libraries planning to implement their RDM services for their home *** authors of the paper have also observed since the PKU-ORDR and RDM services implemented in 2015,the Peking University Library(PKUL)has helped numerous researchers to support the entire research life cycle and enhanced Open Science(OS)practices on campus,as well as impacted the national OS movement in China through various national events and activities hosted by the PKUL.

The closed form of solutions of Kac-van Moerbeke lattice and self-dual network equations are considered by proposing transformations based on Riccati equation, using symbolic computation. In contrast to the numerical computation of travelling wave solutions for differential difference equations, our method obtains exact solutions which have physical relevance.

The physical pendulum equation with suspension axis vibrations is investigated. By using Melnikov＇s method, we prove the conditions for the existence of chaos under periodic perturbations. By using second-order averaging method and Melinikov＇s method, we give the conditions for the existence of chaos in an averaged system under quasi-periodic perturbations for Ω = nω ＋ εv, n = 1 - 4, where ν is not rational to ω. We are not able to prove the existence of chaos for n = 5 - 15, but show the chaotic behavior for n = 5 by numerical simulation. By numerical simulation we check on our theoretical analysis and further exhibit the complex dynamical behavior, including the bifurcation and reverse bifurcation from period-one to period-two orbits; the onset of chaos, the entire chaotic region without periodic windows, chaotic regions with complex periodic windows or with complex quasi-periodic windows; chaotic behaviors suddenly disappearing, or converting to period-one orbit which means that the system can be stabilized to periodic motion by adjusting bifurcation parameters α, δ, f0 and Ω; and the onset of invariant torus or quasi-periodic behaviors, the entire invariant torus region or quasi-periodic region without periodic window, quasi-periodic behaviors or invariant torus behaviors suddenly disappearing or converting to periodic orbit; and the jumping behaviors which including from period- one orbit to anther period-one orbit, from quasi-periodic set to another quasi-periodic set; and the interleaving occurrence of chaotic behaviors and invariant torus behaviors or quasi-periodic behaviors; and the interior crisis; and the symmetry breaking of period-one orbit; and the different nice chaotic attractors. However, we haven＇t find the cascades of period-doubling bifurcations under the quasi-periodic perturbations and show the differences of dynamical behaviors and technics of research between the periodic perturbations and quasi-periodic perturbations.
