Solid lithium-sulfur batteries(SLSBs)show potential for practical application due to their possibility for high energy ***,SLSBs still face tough challenges such as the large interface impedance and lithium dendrite ***,a highperformance SLSB is demonstrated by using a fiber network reinforced Li_(6.75)La_(3)Zr_(1.75)Ta_(0.25)O_(12)(LLZTO)based composite solid electrolyte(CSE)in combination with sulfurized polyacrylonitrile(SPAN)*** CSE consisting of an electrospun polyimide(PI)film,LLZTO ionically conducting filler and polyacrylonitrile(PAN)matrix,which is named as PI-PAN/LLZTO CSE,possesses high room-temperature ionic conductivity(2.75×10^(-4)S/cm),high Li^(+)migration number(tLi+)of 0.67 and good interfacial *** is utilized due to its unique electrochemical properties:reasonable electronic conductivity and no polysulfides shuttle *** CSE enables a highly stable Li plating/stripping cycle for over 600 h and good rate ***,the assembled SLSB exhibits good cycle performance of accomplishing 120 cycles at 0.2 C with the capacity retention of 474 mAh/g,good rate properties and excellent long-term cycling stability with a high capacity retention of 86.49%from 15^(th)to 1,000^(th)cycles at 1.0 *** work rationalizes our design concept and may guide the future development of SLSBs.

Streptomyces offer a wealth of naturally occurring compounds with diverse structures,many of which possess significant pharmaceutical ***,new product exploration and increased yield of specific compounds in Streptomyces have been technically challenging due to their slow growth rate,complex culture conditions and intricate genetic *** this study,we screened dozens of Streptomyces strains inhabiting in a plant rhizosphere for fast-growing candidates,and further employed CRISPR/Cas-based engineering techniques for stepwise refinement of a particular strain,Streptomyces sp.A-14 that harbors a 7.47 Mb *** strategic removal of nonessential genomic regions and most gene clusters,we reduced its genome size to 6.13 Mb,while preserving its growth rate to the greatest *** further demonstrated that cleaner metabolic background of this engineered strain was well suited for the expression and characterization of heterologous gene clusters,including the biosynthetic pathways of actinorhodin and polycyclic tetramate ***,this streamlined genome is anticipated to facilitate directing the metabolic flux towards the production of desired compounds and increasing their yields.

First-principles based cluster expansion models are the dominant approach in ab initio thermodynamics of crystalline mixtures enabling the prediction of phase diagrams and novel ground ***,despite recent advances,the construction of accurate models still requires a careful and time-consuming manual parameter tuning process for ground-state preservation,since this property is not guaranteed by *** this paper,we present a systematic and mathematically sound method to obtain cluster expansion models that are guaranteed to preserve the ground states of their reference *** method builds on the recently introduced compressive sensing paradigm for cluster expansion and employs quadratic programming to impose constraints on the model *** robustness of our methodology is illustrated for two lithium transition metal oxides with relevance for Li-ion battery cathodes,i.e.,Li_(2x)Fe_(2(1−x))O_(2) and Li_(2x)Ti_(2(1−x))O_(2),for which the construction of cluster expansion models with compressive sensing alone has proven to be *** demonstrate that our method not only guarantees ground-state preservation on the set of reference structures used for the model construction,but also show that out-of-sample ground-state preservation up to relatively large supercell size is achievable through a rapidly converging iterative *** method provides a general tool for building robust,compressed and constrained physical models with predictive power.

Reinforcement learning(RL) interacts with the environment to solve sequential decision-making problems via a trial-and-error approach. Errors are always undesirable in real-world applications, even though RL excels at playing complex video games that permit several trial-and-error attempts. To improve sample efficiency and thus reduce errors, model-based reinforcement learning(MBRL) is believed to be a promising direction, as it constructs environment models in which trial-and-errors can occur without incurring actual costs. In this survey, we investigate MBRL with a particular focus on the recent advancements in deep RL. There is a generalization error between the learned model of a non-tabular environment and the actual environment. Consequently, it is crucial to analyze the disparity between policy training in the environment model and that in the actual environment, guiding algorithm design for improved model learning, model utilization, and policy training. In addition, we discuss the recent developments of model-based techniques in other forms of RL, such as offline RL, goal-conditioned RL, multi-agent RL, and meta-RL. Furthermore,we discuss the applicability and benefits of MBRL for real-world tasks. Finally, this survey concludes with a discussion of the promising future development prospects for MBRL. We believe that MBRL has great unrealized potential and benefits in real-world applications, and we hope this survey will encourage additional research on MBRL.

Experimental study of NO_2 reduction in N_2/Ar and O_2/Ar mixtures by pulsed corona discharge

Non-thermal plasma technology has been regarded as a promising alternative technology for NOx removal. The understanding of NO2 reduction characteristics is extremely important since NO2 reduction could lower the total NO oxidation rate in the plasma atmosphere. In this study, NO2 reduction was experimentally investigated using a non-thermal plasma reactor driven by a pulsed power supply for different simulated gas compositions and operating parameters. The NO2 reduction was promoted by increasing the specific energy density （SED）, and the highest conversion rates were 33.7%, 42.1% and 25.7% for Ar, N2/Ar and O2/Ar, respectively. For a given SED, the NO2 conversion rate had the order N2/Ar 〉 Ar 〉 02/Ar. The highest energy yield of 3.31 g/kWh was obtained in N2/Ar plasma and decreased with increasing SED; the same trends were also found in the other two gas compositions. The conversion rate decreased with increasing initial NO2 concentration. Furthermore, the presence of N2 or O2 led to different reaction pathways for NO2 conversion due to the formation of different dominating reactive radicals.

Experiments are carried out by using high-speed photography to investigate the interaction between the spark-generated cavitation bubble and the air bubble in its surrounding fluid. Three problems are discussed in detail： the impact of the air bubble upon the development of the cavitation bubble, the evolution of the air bubble under the influence of the cavitation bubble, and the change of the fluid pressure during the development of a micro jet of the cavitation bubble. Based on the experimental results, under the condition of no air bubble present, the lifetime of the cavitation bubble from expansion to contraction increases with the increase of the maximum radius. On the other hand, when there is an air bubble present, different sized cavitation bubbles have similarity with one another generally in terms of the lifetime from expansion to contraction, which does not depend on the maximum radius. Also, with the presence of an air bubble, the lifetime of the smaller cavitation bubble is extended while that of the bigger ones reduced. Furthermore, it is shown in the experiment that the low pressure formed in the opposite direction to the cavitation bubble micro jet makes the air bubble in the low pressure area being stretched into a steplike shape.

The early phases of the shock interaction process on two-dimensional interfaces with different shapes are numerically investigated in this study,which are closely related to the shock refraction and reflection,vorticity production and *** numerical method employs an adaptive unstructured quadrilateral mesh,which can capture the wave pattern and interface evolution very *** are carried out under the conditions of an incident shock Mach number of 1.2 and the light/heavy (air/SF 6) *** different shapes are considered in the simulations:rectangle,ellipse,diamond and two kinds of *** results show that the interfacial shapes can influence the wave patterns particularly on the shape and evolution of refracted shock *** generation and the distribution of vorticity on the interfaces with five different shapes also have *** circulation deposition on five interfaces is quantitatively investigated and compared with theoretical model.A good agreement is found between the numerical results and the predictions by the theoretical *** characteristic scales of the interface are *** the influence of nonlinear-acoustic effect and vorticity effect,the interfaces present different evolution modes.
