After depletion of intracellular Ca^(2+)stores the capacitative response triggers an extracellular Ca^(2+)influx through store-operated channels(SOCs)which refills these *** objective was to explore if human umbilical artery smooth muscle presented this response and if it was involved in the mechanism of serotonin-and histamine-induced *** Ca^(2+)depletion by a Ca^(2+)-free extracellular solution followed by Ca^(2+)readdition produced a contraction in artery rings which was inhibited by the blocker of Orai and TRPC channels 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate(2-APB),suggesting a capacitative *** presence of 2-APB the magnitude of a second paired contraction by serotonin or histamine was significantly less than a first one,likely because 2-APB inhibited store refilling by capacitative Ca^(2+)entry.2-APB inhibition of sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca^(2+)release was excluded because this blocker did not affect serotonin force development in a Ca^(2+)-free *** PCR technique showed the presence of mRNAs for STIM proteins(1 and 2),for Orai proteins(1,2 and 3)and for TRPC channels(subtypes 1,3,4 and 6)in the smooth muscle of the human umbilical ***,this artery presents a capacitative contractile response triggered by stimulation with physiological vasoconstrictors and expresses mRNAs for proteins and channels previously identified as SOCs.

Apomorphine is a non-specific dopamine receptor agonist that has been used in the treatment of some diseases and mental disorders. Its use has particularly well documented in Parkinson＇s disease（PD）. The dopaminergic agonists like apomorphine are related to oxidative processes that could induce cell damage and the functional impairment of some structures in the brain. However, most information about apomorphine in literature is focused on the improvement of the motor problems characteristic of PD, but little is known about the effects on cognitive behaviors and brain structures indirectly related to motor function. The presence of dopaminergic receptors in the hippocampus has recently been discovered, in connection with cognitive behaviors like learning and memory, these receptors are needed in neuronal plasticity. There has been a growing interest to know if this structure could be compromised by the effect of apomorphine and elucidate if part of the cognitive impairment present in the PD is due to the effect of apomorphine. In this mini-review, we summarized how apomorphine has been used since its creation, we discuss the latest information about its effect on the hippocampus and also the future perspectives to fully understand the effects of this compound.

Air transport systems are highly dynamic at temporal scales from minutes to *** dynamic behavior not only characterizes the evolution of the system but also affect the system＇s *** the evolutionary mechanisms is thus fundamental in order to better design optimal air transport networks that benefits companies,passengers and the *** this review,we briefly present and discuss the state-of-the-art on time-evolving air transport *** distinguish the structural analysis of sequences of network snapshots,ideal for long-term network evolution（*** evolution）,and temporal paths,preferred for short-term dynamics（*** evolution）.We emphasize that most previous research focused on the first modeling approach（***-term） whereas only a few studies look at high-resolution temporal *** conclude the review highlighting that much research remains to be done,both to apply already available methods and to develop new measures for temporal paths on air transport *** particular,we identify that the study of delays,network resilience and optimization of resources（aircraft and crew） are critical topics.

In the present work, the synthesis of micro- and nano-sized spheres of metallic bismuth by microwave-assisted solvothermal method is reported. The synthesis method was carried out at different power levels and at a unique frequency of microwave irradiation. The sphere sizes were controlled by the microwave power level and the concentration of dissolved precursor. Structural and morphological characterization was performed by SeM, HRTeM, eeLS and XRD. The results demonstrated that rhombohedral zero valent Bi spheres were synthesized after microwave radiation at 600 and 1200 W. However, if the power level is decreased to 120 W, a monoclinic phase of Bi203 is obtained with a flake-like morphology. In comparison with a conventional hydrothermal process, the microwave-assisted solvothermal approach provides many advantages such as shorter reaction time, optimum manipulation of morphologies and provides a specific chemical phase and avoids the mixture of structural phases and morphologies which is essential for further applications such as drug delivery or functionalization with organic materials, thanks to its biocompatibility.

The influence of emissions of an active volcano on the composition of nanoparticles and ultrafine road dust was identified in an urban area of the *** many cities are close to active volcanoes,few studies have evaluated their influence in road dust *** quality in urban areas is significantly affected by nonexhaust emissions(*** dust,brake wear,tire wear),however,natural sources such as volcanoes also impact the chemical composition of the *** this study,elements from volcanic emissions such as Si>Al>Fe>Ca>K>Mg,and Si-Al with K were identified as complex ***,As,Hg,Cd,Pb,As,H,Cd,Pb,V,and salammoniac were observed in nanoparticles and ultrafine *** composition was detected in the order of quartz>mullite>calcite>kaolinite>illite>goethite>magnetite>zircon>monazite,in addition to salammoniac,a tracer of volcanic *** foregoing analysis reflects the importance of carrying out more studies relating the influence of volcanic emissions in road dust in order to protect human *** road dust load(RD_(10))ranged between 0.8 and 26.8 mg m^(−2)in the city.

The objective of this study consisted of evaluating the effect of the application of chitosan(Q),1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)under two controlled temperatures on some physical,physiological,and chemical parameters contributing to the quality of Persian lime Citrus latifolia *** treatments were evaluated,resulting from the combination of four senescence retardant applications(Q,1-MCP,1-MCP+Q,and without application)on fruits stored at two temperatures(12/20℃.epidermis color(luminosity,chromaticity,and hue),fruit appearance,respiration,weight loss,total juice content,total soluble solids,and titratable acidity were registered during the *** results indicate that the 1-MCP and Q combination favored fruit postharvest quality conditions such as reducing respiration rate;maintaining fruit good appearance,turgidity,and brighter fruit chromaticity;fruits treated with chitosan and stored at 12℃,favored total soluble *** the other hand,Variables such as weight loss,juice content,acidity,phenols,flavonoids,antioxidant activity,and hue values were favored by a 12℃ storing temperature regardless of the *** general,the use of modified atmospheres,senescence retardants,and refrigeration as postharvest methods,can increase Persian lime shelf life.

Melatonin is a pleiotropic molecule that,after a short-term sleep deprivation,promotes the proliferation of neural stem cells in the adult ***,this effect has not been observed in long-term sleep *** precise mechanism exerted by melatonin on the modulation of neural stem cells is not entirely elucidated,but evidence indicates that epigenetic regulators may be involved in this *** this study,we investigated the effect of melatonin treatment during a 96-hour sleep deprivation and analyzed the expression of epigenetic modulators predicted by computational text mining and keyword *** results showed that the administration of melatonin under sleep-deprived conditions increased the MeCP2 expression and reduced the SIRT1 expression in the dentate *** observed that let-7 b,mir-132,and mir-124 were highly expressed in the dentate gyrus after melatonin administration,but they were not modified by sleep *** addition,we found more Sox2^+/5-bromo-2’-deoxyuridine(BrdU)^+cells in the subgranular zone of the sleep-deprived group treated with melatonin than in the untreated *** findings may support the notion that melatonin modifies the expression of epigenetic mediators that,in turn,regulate the proliferation of neural progenitor cells in the adult dentate gyrus under long-term sleep-deprived *** procedures performed in this study were approved by the Animal ethics Committee of the University of Guadalajara,Mexico(approval ***-16610)on January 2,2016.

Background:Recently,sildenafil was introduced to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH);however,there are currently few studies on the pharmacokinetics of sildenalfil in ***,we aimed to carry out a pharmacokinetic study of sildenafil in children with PAH using a single ***:Twelve children diagnosed with PAH,consisting of with ten males and two females,were recruited for the study after obtaining written consent from their parents or *** samples were obtained predose and at 0.25,0.5,1,2,4,8 and 12 hours after the oral administration of 1 mg/kg of sildenafil using an extemporal pediatric formulation developed in our *** samples were analyzed using a previously validated high performance liquid chromatography ***:A pharmacokinetic analysis using the WinNonlin 3.1 program that considered the Akaike information criterion (AIC) for sdecting a more adjustable model was *** following pharmacokinetic parameters were obtained:maximal concentration (Cmax):366+179 ng/mL,time to maximal concentration:0.92±0.30 hours,elimination half-life (t1/2):2.41±1.18 hours,total clearance (CLto/F):5.85±2.81 L/hour,volume of distribution (Vd/F):20.13±14.5 L,absorption rate constants (Ka):0.343 hour-1,elimination rate (Ke):0.35 hour-1,area under curve from zero to infinity:2061±618 ng/mL/*** data of all patients adjusted to the model of one compartment were corroborated using ***:The parameters Ka,Ke and t1/2 were found to be similar to those reported in adults;however,the values of Cmax and Vd/F were significantly *** on these findings,we propose that treatment regimen of sildenafil be adjusted in children with PAH.

Whole-genome duplications(WGDs)are regarded as important drivers of macroevolution in plants(Clark and Donoghue,2018).However,there are few studies that test a connection between WGDs and evolutionary *** proper study of evolutionary patterns related to WGDs needs a well-resolved phylogeny,accurate dates of the WGD events,and historical reconstructions of the evolutionary novelties(Clark and Donoghue,2018).The advent of exhaustive phylogenomic studies is becoming a promising way to solve these issues,as wholegenome data can help clarify obscure phylogenetic relationships,evaluate patterns associated with WGDs,and track down the evolution of life-history traits that shaped plant lineages(Bellot et al.,2020).
