The interface has a significant influence on the macroscopic mechanical behaviors of composite materials,with interface cracking being a typical failure event.The ability to precisely describe the mechanical behavior of the interface is critical for analyzing the failure of composite materials.Based on plasticity theory and damage mechanics,an elastic-plastic interface constitutive model is developed to simulate the irreversible plastic deformation at the interface under the cyclic loading condition.Furthermore,by incorporating a damage factor in scalar form,the model is able to simulate mixed loading forms(Modes I and II).The influence of interfacial strength and toughness on the overall mechanical properties of unidirectional fiber reinforced composites under transverse loading is studied with this model.The simulation results are consistent with the experimental data in the literature,demonstrating the model's effectiveness.The model can be used to simulate the mechanical behavior of composites with interfaces under cyclic loading,and it is helpful for understanding the plastic behavior and damage accumulation at the interfaces in the composites.

The highly conserved target of rapamycin(TOR)pathway plays an important role in aging across species.Previous studies have established that inhibition of the TOR complex 1(TORC1)significantly extends lifespan in Caenorhabditis elegans.However,it has not been clear whether TORC1 perturbation affects aging in a spatiotemporal manner.Here,we apply the auxin-inducible degradation tool to knock down endogenous DAF-15,the C.elegans ortholog of regulatory associated protein of TOR(Raptor),to characterize its roles in aging.Global or tissue-specific inhibition of DAF-15 during development results in various growth defects,whereas neuron-specific knockdown of DAF-15 during adulthood significantly extends lifespan and healthspan.The neuronal DAF-15 deficiency-induced longevity requires the intestinal activities of DAF-16/FOXO and PHA-4/FOXA transcription factors,as well as the AAK-2/AMP-activated protein kinaseαcatalytic subunit.Transcriptome profiling reveals that the neuronal DAF-15 knockdown promotes the expression of genes involved in protection.These findings define the tissue-specific roles of TORC1 in healthy aging and highlight the importance of neuronal modulation of aging.

Microcystins(MCs),a family of cyclic heptapeptide cyanotoxins,exists in aquatic environment where cyanobacterial bloom happens,which will accumulate in aquatic organisms and transfer through the food chain to higher trophic levels,posing a health risk to both animals and human bodies.Among various MCs,Microcystin-LR(MC-LR)is worthiest studied for its strong toxicity,ubiquity and widespread.Here in this work,iminodiacetic acid(IDA)decorated magnetic mesoporous silica(mSiO_(2))nanocomposites(Fe_(3)O_(4)@mSiO_(2)-IDA)were facilely synthesized which possessed the merits of large surface area(188.21 m^(2)/g),accessible porosity(2.66 nm),excellent hydrophilicity and rapid responsiveness to magnetic field.Then the composites were successfully employed to the removal process of Microcystin-LR in real water samples followed by Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS)analysis,achieving the removal efficiency above 92.5%even after ten recycles of the composites.It provided a potential method for removing MC-LR in aqueous environment with high effectiveness,lower costs and less secondary contamination.

As the most common pathological type of nephrotic syndrome,membranous nephropathy(MN)presents diversity in progression trends,facing severe complications.The precise discrimination of MN from healthy people,other types of nephrotic syndrome or those with therapeutic remission has always been huge challenge in clinics,not to mention comprehensive individualized monitoring relied on minimally invasive molecular detection means.Herein,we construct a functionalized pore architecture to couple with machine learning to aid all-round peptidome enrichment and data profiling from hundreds of human serum samples,and finally establish a set of defined peptide panel consisting of 12 specific feature signals.In addition to the realization of above-mentioned precise discrimination with more than 97%of sensitivity,88%of accuracy and f1 score,the simultaneously comprehensive individualized monitoring for MN can also be achieved,including conventionally screening diagnosis,congeneric distinction and prognostic evaluation.This work greatly advances the development of peptidome data-driven individualized monitoring means for complex diseases and undoubtedly inspire more devotion into molecular detection field.

This paper presents an interval effective independence method for optimal sensor placement, which contains uncertain structural information. To overcome the lack of insufficient statistic description of uncertain parameters, this paper treats uncertainties as non-probability intervals. Based on the iterative process of classical effective independence method, the proposed study considers the eliminating steps with uncertain cases. Therefore, this method with Fisher information matrix is extended to interval numbers, which could conform to actual engineering. As long as we know the bounds of uncertainties, the interval Fisher information matrix could be obtained conveniently by interval analysis technology. Moreover, due to the definition and calculation of the interval relationship, the possibilities of eliminating candidate sensors in each iterative process and the final layout of sensor placement are both presented in this paper. Finally, two numerical examples, including a five-storey shear structure and a truss structure are proposed respectively in this paper. Compared with Monte Carlo simulation, both of them can indicate the veracity of the interval effective independence method.

The relationship between paleogeographic pattern and sedimentary differentiation of evaporite-carbonate symbiotic system is examined based on logging,core and thin section data,by taking the sixth sub-member of fifth member of Ordovician Majiagou Formation(M56)in the central-eastern Ordos Basin as an example.(1)Seven sub-geomorphic units(Taolimiao west low,Taolimiao underwater high,Taolimiao east low,Hengshan high,East salt low,North slope and Southwest slope)developed in the study area.(2)The“three lows”from west to east developed dolomitic restricted lagoon,evaporite evaporative lagoon and salt evaporative lagoon sedimentary facies respectively,the"two highs"developed high-energy grain beach and microbial mound,and the north and south slopes developed dolomitic flats around land.(3)The paleogeographic pattern caused natural differentiation of replenishment seawater from the northwest Qilian sea,leading to the eccentric sedimentary differentiation of dolomite,evaporite and salt rock symbiotic system from west to east,which is different from the classic“bull's eye”and“tear drop”distribution patterns.(4)As the Middle Qilian block subducted and collided into the North China Plate,the far-end compression stress transferred,giving rise to the alternate highland and lowland in near north to south direction during the sedimentary period of M56 sub-member.(5)Taolimiao underwater high and Hengshan high developed favorable zones of microbial mounds and grain shoals in south to north strike in M56 sub-member,making them favorable exploration areas with great exploration potential in the future.

Bilayer transition metal dichalcogenides（TMDs） balance the high mobility of single layers with the high state density of multilayers and therefore have promising application prospects in high-performance electronics. However, the layer-controlled growth of 2D materials is still confronted with challenges such as poor repeatability between different labs and a limited understanding of the growth mechanism at the atomic scale. Herein, we report a new carbon-assisted chemical vapor deposition process that can realize the growth of WS2sheets with high yield, precise thickness controllability, and repeatability. We show that carbon can act as a reducing agent and catalyst that preferentially reacts with the WO3precursor to form intermediate WO3-xproducts with low-valence state W. The resulting oxycarbide gas has a low surface adsorption energy when deposited on the surface of as-grown WS2, which provides nucleation sites for the subsequent layer of WS2growth and leads to the vertical growth of WS2sheets. The growth mechanism is thoroughly investigated. Electrical transport measurements show that the produced bilayer WS2possesses a high carrier mobility(up to 58 cm2·V-1·s-1) and small subthreshold swing（estimated to be 148 mV/decade）,which are among the best reported results for TMDs produced using CVD.

By using molecular dynamics simulations,we studied the ion irradiation induced damage in mechanically strained Cu nanowires and evaluated the effects of damage on the mechanical properties of nanowires.The stresses in the pre-strained nanowires can be released significantly by the dislocation emission from the cascade core when the strain is greater than 1%.In addition,comparison of the stress-strain relationships between the defect-free nanowire and the irradiated ones indicates that ion irradiation reduces the yield strength of the Cu nanowires,and both the yield stress and strain decrease with the increase of irradiation energy.The results are consistent with the microscopic mechanism of damage production by ion irradiation and provide quantitative information required for accessing the stability of nanomaterials subjected to mechanical loading and irradiation coupling effects.
