Identifying the geographical origin and processing technology of Moyao(Myrrh) on the basis of near-infrared spectroscopy combined with chemometrics

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of Moyao(Myrrh) in the identification of the geographical origin and processing of the products. METHODS: Raw Moyao(Myrrh) and two kinds of Moyao(Myrrh) processed with vinegar from three countries were identified using near-infrared(NIR) spectroscopy combined with chemometric techniques. Principal component analysis(PCA) was used to reduce the dimensionality of the data and visualize the clustering of samples from different categories. A classical chemometric algorithm(PLS-DA) and two machine learning algorithms [K-nearest neighbor(KNN) and support vector machine] were used to conduct a classification analysis of the near-infrared spectra of the Moyao(Myrrh) samples, and their discriminative performance was evaluated. RESULTS: Based on the accuracy, precision, recall rate, and F1 value in each model, the results showed that the classical chemometric algorithm and the machine learning algorithm obtained positive results. In all of the chemometric analyses, the NIR spectrum of Moyao(Myrrh) preprocessed by standard normal variation or Multivariate scattering correction combined with KNN achieved the highest accuracy in identifying the geographical origins, and the accuracy of identifying the processing technology established by the KNN method after first-order derivative pretreatment was the best. The best accuracy of geographical origin discrimination and processing technology discrimination were 0.9853 and 0.9706 respectively. CONCluSIONS: NIR spectroscopy combined with chemometric technology can be an important tool for tracking the origin and processing technology of Moyao(Myrrh) and can also provide a reference for evaluations of its quality and the clinical use.

Immune checkpoint blockade has represented a break-through for the treatment of human cancers,but only a minority of patients obtain clinical benefits from this therapy.A critical issue is how to shape the“cold”tumor,characterized by desert or suppressive immunity,into a“hot”phenotype[1].The cyclic GMP-AMP synthase-stimulator of interferon genes(cGAS-STING)pathway is a fundamental regulator of innate immune sensing,with potential to enhance tumor rejection by activating type I interferon(IFN)-dependent responses in multiple cell types,including dendritic cell,monocyte and even tumor cell[2],illustrated in many preclinical murine tumor models treated with stimulator of interferon genes(STING)-activating therapies.

Tourmaline guiding the electric field and dechlorination pathway of 2,3-dichlorophenol by Desulfitobacterium hafniense

The dehalogenation of organohalides has been a research hotspot in bioremediation field;however,the influence of tourmaline,a natural ore that can generate spontaneous electric field,on organohalide-respiring bacteria(OHRB)and their dechlorination process is not well *** this study,the effect and mechanism of tourmaline on the reductive dechlorination of 2,3-dichlorophenol(2,3-DCP)by Desulfitobacterium hafniense DCB-2Twere *** characterization results confirmed that tourmaline had good stability and the optimal dosage of tourmaline was 2.5 g/L,which shortened the total time required for dechlorination reaction to 72 ***,tourmaline amendment also increased the proportion of 2-chlorophenol(2-CP)from 18%to 30%of end products,while that of 3-CP decreased *** theoretical calculations showed that the bond charge of the orthosubstituted chlorine declined from-0.179 to-0.067,and that of meta-substituted chlorine increased from-0.111 to-0.129,which indicated that the spontaneous electric field of tourmaline affected the charge distribution of 2,3-DCP and was more conducive to the generation of ***,tourmaline with the spontaneous electric field affected the reductive dechlorination pathway of Desulfitobacterium,and the tourmaline-OHRB combining system might serve as a novel strategy for the bioremediation of environments polluted with chlorinated phenols.

Exploring biofilm-forming molecular determinants in Listeria monocytogenes by comparative genome-wide and transcriptomic analyses

In the food industry， bacterial cells usually adhere to equipment surfaces， forming biofilms that may cause persistent contamination. This study aimed to identify the key genes responsible for the stronger biofilm-forming capability of the LMB 33426 strain compared to that of the CICC 21662 strain through comparative genomics. Additionally， the expression of genes and related metabolic pathways of LMB 33426 and CICC 21662 strains were analyzed at the transcriptional level by high-throughput sequencing technology to uncover key differentially expressed genes between planktonic and biofilm cells of those two strains. Subsequently， the key genes found to present differences that were uncovered by those genome-wide and transcriptomic analyses were used to construct gene deletion strains. The crystalline violet assay and motility assay showed that GL002291， GL002712 and lmo1438 genes were involved in the regulation of biofilm formation as well as motility. The hydrophobicity and auto-aggregation ability assay results demonstrated an association between the clpB， lmo1438， and lmo0294 genes and bacterial adhesion. However， no significant differences were found regarding this association in the GL002291 and GL002712 genes. This study elucidates some potential regulatory genes associated with biofilm formation in L. monocytogenes， and laying a theoretical foundation for future research.

Background:Previous studies have reported associations of specific maternal and paternal lifestyle factors with offspring’s cognitive development during early *** study aimed to investigate the prospective associations between overall parental lifestyle and offspring’s cognitive performance during adolescence and young adulthood in ***:We included 2531 adolescents aged 10-15 years at baseline in 2010 from the China Family Panel Studies.A healthy parental lifestyle score(ranged 0-5)was constructed based on the following five modifiable lifestyle factors:Smoking,drinking,exercise,sleep,and *** estimating equation models were used to examine the association between baseline parental healthy lifestyle scores and offspring’s fluid and crystallized intelligence in subsequent years(2012,2014,2016,and 2018).Results:Offspring in the top tertile of parental healthy lifestyle scores performed better in overall fluid intelligence(multivariable-adjusted β=0.53,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.29-0.77)and overall crystallized intelligence(multivariable-adjusted β=0.35,95%CI:0.16-0.54)than those in the bottom tertile of parental healthy lifestyle *** results were similar after further adjustment for the offspring’s healthy lifestyle scores and persisted across the subgroups of parental socioeconomic ***,maternal and paternal healthy lifestyle scores were independently associated with better offspring’s cognitive performance,with significant contribution observed for paternal never-smoking,weekly exercise,and diversified *** both parents and offspring adhered to a healthier lifestyle,we observed the highest level of the offspring’s overall crystallized ***:Our study indicates that parental adherence to a healthier lifestyle is associated with significantly better offspring’s cognitive performance during adolescence and early adulthood,regardless of socioeconomic *** findings highlight the poten

High-efficiency prediction method for helicopter global/ground noise based on near-field acoustic holography

Noise reduction program design is an effective approach that relies on efficient noise prediction for reducing ground noise during *** existing noise prediction methods have the limitations of being computationally expensive or only applicable to *** this paper,a High-Efficiency Prediction Method(HEPM)for helicopter global/ground noise based on near-field acoustic holography is *** HEPM can predict the global noise based on acoustic modal analysis and has the advantages of high prediction accuracy and low time *** process is given as follows:firstly,the rotor noise on the holographic surface in the specified flight is obtained by simulations or ***,the global noise model,which maps time-domain noise to acoustic modes,is established based on near-field acoustic holography and Fourier acoustic analysis ***,combined with acoustic modal amplitude,the model established enables efficiently predicting the global/ground noise in the corresponding flight *** verify the accuracy of the prediction method,a simulation study is conducted in hovering and forward flight states using a model helicopter with a 2-meter rotor and Rotor Body Interaction(ROBIN)*** comparison of HEPM with numerical results shows that the average prediction errors of the global and ground noise are less than 0.3 dB and 0.2 dB,*** a region containing 100000 observers,the computation time of the HEPM is only one-fifth of that of the acoustic hemisphere method,demonstrating the rapidity of the proposed method.

A chemical co-precipitation strategy was employed to synthesize a series of(Gd_(0.95−x)lu_(x)Eu_(0.05))_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)(x=0.1−0.95)powder phosphors,followed by vacuum sintering to achieve transparent garnet ceramic *** density functional theory indicated lu_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) was formed in priority compared with Gd_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) during solid-phase *** high-temperature sintering,the lu^(3+)substitution for Gd^(3+)suppressed point mass diffusion leading to a smaller grain *** in-line transmittances of bulk specimens with x=0.1,0.3,0.5,0.7,and 0.95 nm were~83.5%,80.1%,68.8%,73.7%,and 82.2%at 710 nm(Eu^(3+)emission center),respectively,among which the sample of x=0.1 exhibited the optical grade with near-zero optical loss in agreement with the defect-free single crystal(~100%of the theoretical transmittance).The resulting particle and ceramic materials both presented characteristic Eu^(3+)emission arising from 5D0→7FJ(J=1−4)transition,where the dominant far-red emission at~710 nm arising from ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(4) transition overlapped with the absorption of phytochrome(PFR).The photoluminescence excitation and photoluminescence intensities of(Gd_(0.95−x)lu_(x)Eu_(0.05))_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) powders and ceramics generally increased at a higher Gd^(3+)/lu^(3+)***^(3+)dopants delayed the fluorescence lifetime while the bulk samples had shorter lifetime compared to the particle *** transparent(Gd_(0.85)lu_(0.1)Eu_(0.05))3Al_(5)O_(12) ceramic phosphor exhibited good thermal stability with a high thermal quenching temperature above 533 *** designed ceramic phosphor-converted light-emitting diode had a saturation injection current of 435 mA and a current-dependent color rendering *** importantly,our report marked the developmental stage of transparent ceramic materials towards zero optical loss.

Soil inorganic amendments produce safe rice by reducing the transfer of Cd and increasing key amino acids in brown rice

The digestibility of cadmium(Cd)in brown rice is directly related to amino acid metabolism in rice and human *** our field study,three kinds of alkaline calcium-rich soil inorganic amendments(SIAs)at three dosages were applied to produce safe rice and improve the quality of rice in Cd-contaminated *** the increased application of SIA,Cd content in iron plaque on rice root significantly increased,the transfer of Cd from rice root to grain significantly decreased,and then Cd content in brown rice decreased *** vitro digestibility of Cd in brown rice was estimated by a physiologically based extraction *** showed that more than 70%of Cd in brown rice could be digested by simulated gastrointestinal *** on the total and digestible Cd contents in brown rice to evaluate the health risk,the application of 2.25 ton SIA/ha could produce safe rice in acidic slightly Cd-contaminated paddy *** amino acids(AAs)in brown rice were determined by high-performance liquid *** contents of 5 key AAs(KAAs)that actively respond to environmental changes increased significantly with the increased application of *** structural equation model indicated that KAAs could be affected by the Cd translocation capacity from rice root to grain,and consequently altered the ratio of indigestible Cd in brown *** formation of indigestible KAAs-Cd complexes by combining KAAs(phenylalanine,leucine,histidine,glutamine,and asparagine)with Cd in brown rice could be considered a potential mechanism for reducing the digestibility of Cd.
