The changes in the mechanical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments(GHBS) induced by gas hydrate(GH) dissociation are essential to the evaluation of GH exploration and stratum instabilities. Previous studies present substantial mechanical data and constitutive models for GHBS at a given GH saturation under the non-dissociated condition. In this paper, GHBS was formed by the gas saturated method, GH was dissociated by depressurization until the GH saturation reached different dissociation degrees. The stress–strain curves were measured using triaxial tests at a same pore gas pressure and different confining pressures. The results show that the shear strength decreases progressively by 30%–90% of the initial value with GH dissociation, and the modulus decreases by 50% –75%. Simplified relationships for the modulus, cohesion, and internal friction angle with GH dissociated saturation were presented.

Saturable reactor insulation is currently stressed by an exponential decay pulse voltage under normal operating *** partial discharge(PD)characteristics of epoxy resin under an exponential decay pulse voltage were studied here and were compared at 25 and 110℃.In addition,this study compares these PD characteristics with those under a sinusoidal voltage to better measure the insulation design margin of the saturable reactor under an exponential decay pulse ***,this study explains the PD mechanism based on the three-capacitor circuit model and space charge *** with the sinusoidal voltage,a higher amplitude,a higher inception voltage and fewer PDs are obtained under the pulse *** reason may be related to the accumulation of space *** to the duality of the space charge effect,the promotion effect of space charge accumulation on the PD under the pulse voltage is dominant,and an increase in temperature will weaken the promotion *** contrast,the inhibitory effect of space charge accumulation on the PD under the sinusoidal voltage is *** experimental results can provide a basis for the optimal design of saturable reactor insulation under an exponential decay pulse voltage.

In determining the shear capacity of reinforced concrete beams, current codes do not provide any calculation method to evaluate the influence of web horizontal reinforcement, although they exist as structural reinforcements （or skin reinforcement）. The present paper comprises results of 11 reinforced concrete beams in an effort to investigate the influence of web horizontal reinforcement on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete beams. The primary design variables are the shear-span-depth ratio, different reinforcement ratio of stirrups and web horizontal reinforcement. Influence of web horizontal reinforcement on crack patterns and failure mode was studied. It was found that web horizontal reinforcement can increase the shear capacity of the beams and restrain growth of inclined cracks effectively. Test results are very valuable, as very few references of shear tests can be found focusing on the effect of web horizontal reinforcement on the shear capacity of the beams.

Spermatogenesis is a continual process that occurs in the testes,in which diploid spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs)differentiate and generate haploid *** highly efficient and intricate process is orchestrated at multiple levels.N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),an epigenetic modification prevalent in mRNAs,is implicated in the transcriptional regulation during ***,the dynamics of m^(6)A modification in non-rodent mammalian species remains ***,we systematically investigated the profile and role of m^(6)A during spermatogenesis in *** analyzing the transcriptomic distribution of m^(6)A in spermatogonia,spermatocytes,and round spermatids,we identified a globally conserved m^(6)A pattern between porcine and murine genes with spermatogenic *** found that m^(6)A was enriched in a group of genes that specifically encode the metabolic enzymes and *** addition,transcriptomes in porcine male germ cells could be subjected to the m^(6)A *** data show that m^(6)A plays the regulatory roles during spermatogenesis in pigs,which is similar to that in *** of this point are three genes(SETDB1,FOXO1,and FOXO3)that are crucial to the determination of the fate of *** the best of our knowledge,this study for the first time uncovers the expression profile and role of m^(6)A during spermatogenesis in large animals and provides insights into the intricate transcriptional regulation underlying the lifelong male fertility in non-rodent mammalian species.

Metallothioneins (MTs) are a group of low molecular mass and cysteine-rich proteins that can chelate heavy-metal ions. In this paper,Northern blot analysis was used to investigate the influence of lead stress on the expression patterns of 10 rice class I MT genes (OsMT-Is) in rice seedlings. With the ex-ception of OsMT-I-3b,the data demonstrate dynamic changes of 9 OsMT-I transcripts in response to Pb2+ treatment in rice seedling roots. Of these genes,transcription of OsMT-I-1a,OsMT-I-1b,OsMT-I-2c,OsMT-I-4a,OsMT-I-4b and OsMT-I-4c increased significantly,while transcription of OsMT-I-2a and OsMT-I-3a increased marginally. In contrast,the expression of OsMT-I-2b was inhibited. Pb2+ induced the expression of 6 OsMT-I genes in seedling shoots,but had no obvious effects on the expression of OsMT-I-1a,OsMT-I-1b,OsMT-I-4a and OsMT-I-4b. All the 10 OsMT-Is had enhanced lead tolerance when heterologously expressed in lead-sensitive yeast mutant cells. These results provide an expression profile of the rice MT gene family in response to Pb2+ stress in rice seedlings and demonstrate in-creased lead tolerance in sensitive yeast mutant cells expressing OsMT-Is. This study lays a foundation for further analysis of the role of the rice MT gene family in respond to Pb2+ stress.

Novel coronavirus,now named COVID-19,has swept the world,which is regarded as‘public enemy number one’by *** these months,the coronavirus has become a hot topic and led various public *** traditional strategies for public opinion analyzing seldom take the entities and behaviors into *** on the high fluctuation of public opinion of novel coronavirus event,we propose a Key-Information-oriented Convolutional Neural Network(KIN-CNN)to analyze both relevant entities and behaviors in addition to public opinion trend on Chinese ***,we establish a knowledge set according to the characteristic of distribution in corpus of emotions,behaviors and ***,we integrate the other prior knowledge to initialize the convolution kernel for better model ***,as COVID-19 event develops,the dominant public opinion trend is obtained by our ***,the relationship of dominant public opinion with entities and behaviors is established as well in this research.

Although it is known that in most angiosperms mitosis in early endosperm development is syncytial and synchronized, it is unclear how the synchronization is regulated. We showed previously that APC11, also named ZYGI, in Arabidopsis activates zygote division by interaction and degradation of cyclin B1. Here, we report that the mutation in APC11/ZYG1 led to unsynchronized mitosis and over-accumulation of cyclin B1-GUS in the endosperm. Mutations in two other APC subunits showed similar defects. Transgenic expression of stable cyclin B1 in the endosperm also caused unsynchronized mitosis. Further, downregulation of APC11 generated multi-nucleate somatic cells with unsynchronized mitotic division. Together, our results suggest that APC/C-mediated cyclin B1 degradation is critical for cell cycle synchronization.

Microblogging, a popular social media service platform, has become a new information channel for users to receive and exchange the most up-to-date information on current events. Consequently, it is a crucial platform for detecting newly emerging events and for identifying influential spreaders who have the potential to actively disseminate knowledge about events through microblogs. However, traditional event detection models require human intervention to detect the number of topics to be explored, which significantly reduces the efficiency and accuracy of event detection. In addition, most existing methods focus only on event detection and are unable to identify either influential spreaders or key event-related posts, thus making it challenging to track momentous events in a timely manner. To address these problems, we propose a Hypertext-Induced Topic Search(HITS) based Topic-Decision method(TD-HITS), and a Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) based Three-Step model(TS-LDA). TDHITS can automatically detect the number of topics as well as identify associated key posts in a large number of posts. TS-LDA can identify influential spreaders of hot event topics based on both post and user *** experimental results, using a Twitter dataset, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed methods for both detecting events and identifying influential spreaders.

Model organisms have long been important in biology and medicine due to their specific characteristics. Amphibians, especially Xenopus, play key roles in answering fundamental questions on developmental biology, regeneration, genetics, and toxicology due to their large and abundant eggs, as well as their versatile embryos, which can be readily manipulated and developed in vivo. Furthermore, amphibians have also proven to be of considerable benefit in human disease research due to their conserved cellular developmental and genomic organization. This review gives a brief introduction on the progress and limitations of these animal models in biology and human disease research, and discusses the potential and challenge of Microhyla fissipes as a new model organism.
