Owing to the ppb-level detection standard toward the toxic and harmful gas,the detection of trace gases has become an important subject in the field of indoor environment management.However,the traditional resistive gas sensors hardly meet the requirement due to the weak signal generated by trace gas molecules that are difficult to capture.Herein,a visible-light-assisted Pd/TiO_(2)gas sensor is proposed to endow the effective detection of trace formaldehyde(HCHO)gas without heating temperature.Benefiting from the enhanced photocatalytic properties of TiO_(2)by Pd decoration,the visible-light-assisted Pd/TiO_(2)gas sensor can detect the HCHO gas as low as80×10^(–9)at room temperature.The successful preparation of nanoscale TiO_(2)sensing layer is facilitated by the ultrathin carbon nanotube interdigital electrode in the gas sensor,which avoids the discontinuity of the sensing layer caused by the excessive thickness of the traditional metal electrode.In addition,the whole preparation process of the Pd/TiO_(2)gas sensor with carbon nanotube electrodes is compatible with mainstream CMOS fabrication technology,which is expected to realize the batch fabrication and micro-integrated application of gas sensors.It is expected that our work can provide a new strategy for the batch preparation of high-performance trace HCHO gas sensors and their future applications in portable electronic devices such as smartphones.

Background:The Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition(GLIM)criteria were published to build a global consensus on nutritional diagnosis.Reduced muscle mass is a phenotypic criterion with strong evidence to support its inclusion in the GLIM consensus criteria.However,there is no consensus regarding how to accurately measure and define reduced muscle mass in clinical settings.This study aimed to investigate the optimal reference values of skeletal muscle mass index for diagnosing sarcopenia and GLIM-defined malnutrition,as well as the prevalence of GLIM-defined malnutrition in hospitalized cirrhotic patients.Methods:This retrospective study was conducted on 1002 adult patients with liver cirrhosis between January 1,2018,and February 28,2022,at Beijing You-An Hospital,Capital Medical University.Adult patients with a clinical diagnosis of liver cirrhosis and who underwent an abdominal computed tomography(CT)examination during hospitalization were included in the study.These patients were randomly divided into a modeling group(cohort 1,667 patients)and a validation group(cohort 2,335 patients).In cohort 1,optimal cut-off values of skeletal muscle index at the third lumbar skeletal muscle index(L3-SMI)were determined using receiver operating characteristic analyses against in-hospital mortality in different gender groups.Next,patients in cohort 2 were screened for nutritional risk using the Nutritional Risk Screening 2002(NRS-2002),and malnutrition was diagnosed by GLIM criteria.Additionally,the reference values of reduced muscle mass in GLIM criteria were derived from the L3-SMI values from cohort 1.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the association between GLIM-defined malnutrition and clinical outcomes.Results:The optimal cut-off values of L3-SMI were 39.50 cm 2/m 2 for male patients and 33.06 cm 2/m 2 for female patients.Based on the cut-off values,31.63%(68/215)of the male patients and 23.3%(28/120)of the female patients had CT-determined sarcopenia in cohort 2.The prevalence of GL

Objective This study aimed to develop an artificial neural network(ANN) model combined with dietary retinol intake from different sources to predict the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in American adults.Methods Data from the 2007 to 2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES)2007–2014 were analyzed. Eligible subjects(n = 6,613) were randomly divided into a training set(n1 =4,609) and a validation set(n2 = 2,004) at a ratio of 7:3. The training set was used to identify predictors of NAFLD risk using logistic regression analysis. An ANN was established to predict the NAFLD risk using a training set. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis was performed to evaluate the accuracy of the model using the training and validation sets.Results Our study found that the odds ratios(ORs) and 95% confidence intervals(CIs) of NAFLD for the highest quartile of plant-derived dietary retinol intake(i.e., provitamin A carotenoids, such as β-carotene)(OR = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.57 to 0.99) were inversely associated with NAFLD risk, compared to the lowest quartile of intake, after adjusting for potential confounders. The areas under the ROC curves were 0.874 and 0.883 for the training and validation sets, respectively. NAFLD occurs when its incidence probability is greater than 0.388.Conclusion The ANN model combined with plant-derived dietary retinol intake showed a significant effect on NAFLD. This could be applied to predict NAFLD risk in the American adult population when government departments formulate future health plans.

Combined femoral and acetabular anteversion is the sum of femoral and acetabular anteversion,representing their morphological relationship in the axial plane.Along with the increasing understanding of hip dysplasia in recent years,numerous scholars have confirmed the role of combined femoral and acetabular anteversion in the pathological changes of hip dysplasia.At present,the reconstructive surgery for hip dysplasia includes total hip replacement and redirectional hip preservation surgery.As an important surgery index,combined femoral and acetabular anteversion have a crucial role in these surgeries.Herein,we discuss the role of combined femoral and acetabular anteversion in pathological changes of hip dysplasia,total hip replacement,and redirectional hip preservation surgery.

Background Studying the composition and developmental mechanisms in mammary gland is crucial for healthy growth of newborns. The mammary gland is inherently heterogeneous, and its physiological function dependents on the gene expression of multiple cell types. Most studies focused on epithelial cells, disregarding the role of neighboring adipocytes.Results Here, we constructed the largest transcriptomic dataset of porcine mammary gland cells thus far. The dataset captured 126,829 high-quality nuclei from physiological mammary glands across five developmental stages(d 90 of gestation, G90;d 0 after lactation, L0;d 20 after lactation, L20;2 d post natural involution, PI2;7 d post natural involution, PI7). Seven cell types were identified, including epithelial cells, adipocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts cells, immune cells, myoepithelial cells and precursor cells. Our data indicate that mammary glands at different developmental stages have distinct phenotypic and transcriptional signatures. During late gestation(G90), the differentiation and proliferation of adipocytes were inhibited. Meanwhile, partly epithelial cells were completely differentiated. Pseudo-time analysis showed that epithelial cells undergo three stages to achieve lactation, including cellular differentiation, hormone sensing, and metabolic activation. During lactation(L0 and L20), adipocytes area accounts for less than 0.5% of mammary glands. To maintain their own survival, the adipocyte exhibited a poorly differentiated state and a proliferative capacity. Epithelial cells initiate lactation upon hormonal stimulation. After fulfilling lactation mission, their undergo physiological death under high intensity lactation. Interestingly, the physiological dead cells seem to be actively cleared by immune cells via CCL21-ACKR4 pathway. This biological process may be an important mechanism for maintaining homeostasis of the mammary gland. An Improved Approach for Interaction of Wave with Floating Spheres and Its Applications

To develop and utilize marine resources in the deep sea, the higher requirements for floating structures, which are operated in marine environment for a long term, have been put forward. Reasonable structure type and accurate force analysis are favorable guarantees to improve the survival performance and working performance of the floating structures. Floating spheres fastened by mooring cable were widely used in floating structures. In this paper, the wave forces of the floating sphere are efficiently and accurately calculated by solving the geometric relationship between the non-submerged floating sphere and wave surface. Combined with the hydrodynamic calculation of mooring cables based on the lumped mass method, the coupled motion model of multi-floating spheres fastened by multi-mooring cable was established under wave action. Furthermore, according to the floating structures fastened by mooring cable in the actual ocean engineering, the topological method of multi-mooring cables fastening the multifloating spheres was expounded from simple to complex. Finally, the modeling method and preliminarily hydrodynamic characteristics of the fastened floating structures, including the mooring system of renewable energy devices, ocean buoy, and coral nursery, were presented and analyzed in detail. The obtained results showed that the method for calculating the wave force on the floating sphere developed in this paper can accurately describe the motion process of the floating mooring sphere and the force on the mooring cable. Also, the topological method of multiple buoys and multiple mooring cables could efficiently establish various numerical hydrodynamic models of fastened buoys in ocean engineering.

The Hardness of Amorphous Si-DLC Films by Molecular Dynamics Simulations

Silicon-doped diamond-like carbon （Si-DLC） films possess the potential to improve wear performance of DLC films in humid atmospheres and at higher temperatures. But many experimental results of Si-DLC films show that their structure and mechanical properties have changed greatly with the increasing silicon content. Therefore, molecular dynamics （MD） simulations were used to generate hydrogen-free Si-DLC films and study their nano-indentation process under the interaction of a diamond indenter. The results show that sp3/sp2（C）（only carbon atoms） always decreases with the increasing silicon content. But sp3/sp2（C＋Si） ratio increases firstly and reaches a maximum at the silicon content of 0.2, and then decreases with the further increase of the silicon content. Bulk modulus and hardness of the Si-DLC films both decrease with the increasing of the silicon content, which has the same trend with Papakonstantinou and Ikeyama＇s results. It is concluded that the hardness of the Si-DLC films is dependent on sp3/sp2（C）, not sp3/sp2（C＋Si）.

在中国全面放开生育政策与中国生育率持续下降的双重背景下,本文使用2010-2018年中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)数据,考察了隔代照料对适龄人群再生育意愿的影响。结果显示:隔代照料对适龄人群再生育意愿具有显著的促进作用,并且有助于提升“全面二孩”政策的实施效果。在一系列稳健性检验和克服内生性因素处理后,本文结论依然成立。机制研究表明,隔代照料通过减少育龄夫妇照顾家人与家务活动的时间成本,提高孩子健康水平,从而提高其再生育意愿。进一步研究表明,隔代照料对不同育龄夫妇的再生育意愿影响程度存在差异,对于“双独生”育龄家庭,隔代照料对其再生育意愿的提升作用更为明显。本文丰富了生育意愿的家庭内部影响因素研究,为提升“全面二孩”政策实施效果,缓解中国生育率下降提供了政策方向。

阻锈剂技术是抑制混凝土中钢筋锈蚀的重要途径，但传统阻锈剂的应用仍然面临功能单一、与混凝土的兼容性不佳、环保性和有效性难以兼顾等问题。将阻锈剂装载入载体中，以载体负载阻锈剂(Carrier-loaded corrosion inhibitor, CLCI)的形式将阻锈剂“间接”掺入混凝土，能够在避免阻锈剂原有缺陷的基础上，发挥载体的特有功能。本文围绕CLCI的离子固化、缓释效应、智能响应、pH自免疫系统、载体吸附效应等功能机制，结合CLCI对水泥基材料性能的影响，系统综述了CLCI的研究进展。最后，对其在混凝土中的研究和应用进行了展望，并提出了需要解决的问题，以期为CLCI在混凝土工程中的应用提供更多可能性。
