On-chip integrated GeSe_(2)/Si vdW heterojunction for ultravioletenhanced broadband photodetection,imaging,and secure optical communication

Broadband photodetection,spanning from ultraviolet(UV)to infrared(IR),is pivotal in diverse technological domains including astronomy,remote sensing,environmental monitoring,and medical ***,current commercially available broadband photodetectors,predominately based on conventional narrow-bandgap semiconductors,exhibit limited sensitivity in the UV *** limitation,stemming from the significant energy disparity between the semiconductor bandgap and UV photon,narrows their application ***,we report an innovative approach involving the in-situ van der Waals(vdW)integration of two-dimensional(2D)GeSe_(2)layers onto a Si *** process yields a high-quality GeSe_(2)/Si vdW heterojunction device,which features a broad response range covering from UV to near-IR(niR)with a greatly-enhanced sensitivity in the UV *** device possesses high responsivities of 325 and 533.4 mA/W,large detectivities of 1.24×10^(13)and 2.57×10^(13)Jones,and fast response speeds of 20.6/82.1 and 17.7/81.0μs under 360 and 980 nm,***,the broadband image sensing and secure invisible optical communication capabilities of the GeSe_(2)/Si heterojunction device are *** work provides a viable approach for UV-enhanced broadband photodetection technology,opening up new possibilities and applications across various scientific and technological domains.

Deep learning for code generation: a survey

In the past decade, thanks to the powerfulness of deep-learning techniques, we have witnessed a whole new era of automated code generation. To sort out developments, we have conducted a comprehensive review of solutions to deep learning-based code generation. In this survey, we generally formalize the pipeline and procedure of code generation and categorize existing solutions according to taxonomy from perspectives of architecture, model-agnostic enhancing strategy, metrics, and tasks. In addition, we outline the challenges faced by current dominant large models and list several plausible directions for future research. We hope that this survey may provide handy guidance to understanding, utilizing, and developing deep learning-based code-generation techniques for researchers and practitioners.

Stable α-CsPbI3 with extremely red emission for expanding the color gamut

The wider color gamut represents the better reproducibility of the real natural colors. Perovskite materials exhibit promising potential in full-color wide-gamut displays because of the wide tunability and high saturability of their photon emission. However, the full-color wide gamut(>100% Rec.2020) has not been constructed due to the lack of the extreme red primary color(～700 nm). Herein, the widest color gamut is realized, whereinα-CsPbI3 is used to generate the extreme red primary color. An in-situ encapsulation approach is advised to stabilizeα-CsPbI3 at room temperature by means of polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP).Theα-CsPbI3 encapsulated by PVP(denoted as P-CPI) shows highly saturated(FWHM(full width at half maximum) ～28 nm) and extremely(～697 nm) red emission. The green emission is provided by P-CPBr(CsPbBr3 with PVP) which is also synthesized using the universal in-situ encapsulation approach. With the assistance of a commercial Ga N chip, the RGB gamut is extended to the widest(151% NTSC, 113%Rec.2020).

Structure-regulated fluorine-containing additives to improve the performance of perovskite solar cells

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have seen remarkable progress in recent years,largely attributed to various additives that enhance both efficiency and *** these,fluorine-containing additives have garnered significant interest because of their unique hydrophobic properties,effective defect passivation,and regulation capability on the crystallization ***,a targeted structural approach to design such additives is necessary to further enhance the performance of ***,fluoroalkyl ethylene with different fluoroalkyl chain lengths(CH_(2)CH(CF_(2))nCF_(3),n=3,5,and 7)as liquid additives is used to investigate influences of fluoroalkyl chain lengths on crystallization regulation and defect *** findings indicate that optimizing the quantity of F groups plays a crucial role in regulating the electron cloud distribution within the additive *** optimization fosters strong hydrogen bonds and coordination effects with FA+and uncoordinated Pb^(2+),ultimately enhancing crystal quality and device ***,1H,1H,2H-perfluoro-1-hexene(PF_(3))with the optimal number of F presents the most effective modulation effect.A PSC utilizing PF_(3)achieves an efficiency of 24.05%,and exhibits exceptional stability against humidity and thermal *** work sheds light on the importance of tailored structure designs in additives for achieving high-performance PSCs.

Magnesium-containing pellet regulating blast furnace ferrous burden interaction:softening-melting behavior and mechanism

MgO participates in all stages of sintering,pelletizing,and blast furnace ironmaking,and synergistically optimizing the distribution of MgO in ferrous burden can effectively enhance the interaction within the ferrous burdens and optimize the softening-melting properties of the mixed ***-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter or mixed with high-MgO sinter in the blast furnace ferrous burden structure have opposite softening-melting performance *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets can enhance the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,which can optimize the composition of the slag phase and improve the slag *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with high-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets weaken the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,increase the content of the high melting point solid-phase particles in the slag,lead to an increase in the viscosity of the slag and difficult separation of the slag and iron,and decrease the permeability of the charge ***,to ensure good permeability of the mixed burden,the following measures are suggested:optimizing the MgO distribution of the ferrous burden,reducing the MgO content of the sinter to 1.96 wt.%,increasing the MgO content of the pellets to 1.03-1.30 wt.%,controlling the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3) ratio of the mixed burden within 1.15-1.32,narrowing the position of the cohesive zone,and maintaining an S value(permeability index)of approximately 150 kPa℃.

A silylated melamine sponge(SMS)was prepared by two simple steps,namely,immersion and dehydration of a melamine sponge coated with *** silylated structure of SMS was characterized by FT-IR(Fourier-transform infrared)spectroscopy,SEM(Scanning electron microscopy)and in terms of water contact *** oil-water absorption and separation capacities were measured by FT-IR and UV-visible *** experimental results have shown that oligomeric silanol covalently bonds by Si-N onto the surface of melamine sponge *** has shown superhydrophobicity with a water contact angle exceeding 150°±1°,a better separation efﬁciency with regard to diesel oil(by 99.31%(wt/wt%)in oil-water mixture and even up to 99.99%(wt/wt%)for diesel oil in its saturated aqueous ***,SMS inherited the intrinsicﬂame retardancy of the melamine *** general,SMS has shown superhydrophobicity,high porosity,excellent selectivity,remarkable recyclability,and better absorption capacity for various oils and organic solvents,and a high separation efﬁciency for oil in saturated aqueous solutions.

Genetic mechanism of body size variation in groupers:Insights from phylotranscriptomics

Animal body size variation is of particular interest in evolutionary biology,but the genetic basis remains largely *** studies have shown the presence of two parallel evolutionary genetic clusters within the fish genus Epinephelus with evident divergence in body size,providing an excellent opportunity to investigate the genetic basis of body size variation in ***,we performed phylotranscriptomic analysis and reconstructed the phylogeny of 13 epinephelids originating from the South China *** genetic clades with an estimated divergence time of approximately 15.4 million years ago were correlated with large and small body size,respectively.A total of 180 rapidly evolving genes and two positively selected genes were identified between the two *** enrichment analyses of these candidate genes revealed distinct enrichment categories between the two *** pathways and genes may play important roles in body size variation in groupers through complex regulatory *** on our results,we speculate that the ancestors of the two divergent groups of groupers may have adapted to different environments through habitat selection,leading to genetic variations in metabolic patterns,organ development,and lifespan,resulting in body size divergence between the two locally adapted *** findings provide important insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying body size variation in groupers and species differentiation.

Identification of Highly Repetitive Enhancers with Long-range Regulation Potential in Barley via STARR-seq

Enhancers are DNA sequences that can strengthen transcription ***,the global identification of plant enhancers is complicated due to uncertainty in the distance and orientation of enhancers,especially in species with large *** this study,we performed self-transcribing active regulatory region sequencing(STARR-seq)for the first time to identify enhancers across the barley genome.A total of 7323 enhancers were successfully identified,and among 45 randomly selected enhancers,over 75%were effective as validated by a dual-luciferase reporter assay system in the lower epidermis of tobacco ***,up to 53.5%of the barley enhancers were repetitive sequences,especially transposable elements(TEs),thus reinforcing the vital role of repetitive enhancers in gene *** the common active mark H3K4me3 and repressive mark H3K27me3 were abundant among the barley STARR-seq *** addition,the functional range of barley STARR-seq enhancers seemed much broader than that of rice or maize and extended to±100 kb of the gene body,and this finding was consistent with the high expression levels of genes in the *** study specifically depicts the unique features of barley enhancers and provides available barley enhancers for further utilization.

Inter-annual variations of dissolved oxygen and hypoxia off the northern Changjiang River(Yangtze River) Estuary in summer from 1997 to 2014

Hypoxia off the Changjiang River Estuary has been the subject of much attention,yet systematic observations have been lacking,resulting in a lack of knowledge regarding its long-term change and *** revisiting the repeated surveys of dissolved oxygen(DO) and other relevant hydrographic parameters along the section from the Changjiang River Estuary to the Jeju-do in the summer from 1997 to 2014,rather different trends were revealed for the dual low-DO *** nearshore low-DO core,located close to the river mouth and relatively stable,shows that hypoxia has become more severe with the lowest DO descen ding at a rate of -0.07 mg/(L·a) and the thickness of low-DO zone rising at a rate of 0.43 m/*** offshore core,centered around 40-m isobath but moving back and forth between 123.5°-125°E,shows large fluctuations in the minimum DO concentration,with the thickness of low-DO zone falling at a rate of -1.55 m/*** probable factors affecting the minimum DO concentration in the two regions also *** the nearshore region,the decreasing minimum DO is driven by the increase in both stratification and primary productivity,with the enhanced extension of the Changjiang River Diluted Water(CDW) strengthening *** the offshore region,the fluctuating trend of the minimum DO concentration indicates that both DO loss and DO supplement are *** DO loss is primarily attributed to bottom apparent oxygen utilization caused by the organic matter decay and is also relevant to the advection of low-DO water from the nearshore *** DO supplement is primarily due to weakened *** analysis also shows that the minimum DO concentration in the nearshore region was extremely low in 1998,2003,2007 and 2010,related to El ni?o signal in these summers.

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1β(HNF1β)is essential for biliary development,while its genetic defect triggers the dysplasia of interlobular bile ducts,leading to life-threatening hepatitis and *** date,this disorder has mainly been docu-mented in ***,we report a case of cholestasis in an adult patient caused by a de novo HNF1β mutation.A liver biopsy revealed remarkable shrinkage of the portal area accompanied by a decrease or absence of interlobular bile ducts,veins,and arteries in the portal *** case showed that an HNF1β defect could induce late-onset cholestasis with paucity of the portal area in adulthood.
