The shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and uncontrollable lithium dendrite growth seriously hinder the practical application of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** simultaneously address such issues,monodispersed Nb N quantum dots anchored on nitrogen-doped hollow carbon nanorods(NbN@NHCR)are elaborately developed as efficient Li PSs immobilizer and Li stabilizer for high-performance Li-S full *** functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental characterizations demonstrate that the sulfiphilic and lithiophilic NbN@NHCR hybrid can not only efficiently immobilize the soluble Li PSs and facilitate diffusion-conversion kinetics for alleviating the shuttling effect,but also homogenize the distribution of Li+ions and regulate uniform Li deposition for suppressing Li-dendrite *** a result,the assembled Li-S full batteries(NbN@NHCR-S||Nb N@NHCR-Li)deliver excellent long-term cycling stability with a low decay rate of 0.031%per cycle over 1000 cycles at high rate of 2 *** at a high S loading of 5.8 mg cm^(-2)and a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 5.2μL mg^(-1),a large areal capacity of 6.2 mA h cm^(-2)can be achieved in Li-S pouch cell at 0.1 *** study provides a new perspective via designing a dual-functional sulfiphilic and lithiophilic hybrid to address serious issues of the shuttle effect of S cathode and dendrite growth of Li anode.

This prospective multicenter phase II study evaluated the clinical efficacy of neoadjuvant nivolumab-exclusive(N)and nivolumab–chemotherapy(N/C)combinations based on PD-L1 *** patients exhibited resectable clinical stage IIA–IIIB(AJCC 8th edition)NSCLC without EGFR/ALK *** received either mono-nivolumab(N)or nivolumab+nabpaclitaxel+carboplatin(N/C)for three cycles based on PD-L1 *** primary endpoint was the major pathological response(MPR).Key secondary endpoints included the pathologic complete response(pCR),objective response rate(ORR),and event-free survival(EFS).Baseline PD-L1 expression and perioperative circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA)status were correlated with pCR and ***-two patients were enrolled,with 46 undergoing *** MPR was 50.0%(26/52),with 25.0%(13/52)achieving pCR,and 16.7%and 66.7%for patients with PD-L1≥50%in N and N/C groups,***(25.0%)patients experienced grade 3 or higher immune-related adverse events during neoadjuvant *** with post-neoadjuvant ctDNA negativity was more likely to have pCR(39.1%)compared with those remained positive(6.7%,odds ratio=6.14,95%CI 0.84-Inf,p=0.077).With a median follow-up of 25.1 months,the 18-month EFS rate was 64.8%(95%CI 51.9–81.0%).For patients with ctDNA–***+,the 18m-EFS rate was 93.8%vs 47.3%(HR,0.15;95%CI 0.04,0.94;p=0.005).Immunochemotherapy may serve as an optimal neoadjuvant treatment even for patients with PD-L1 expression≥50%.ctDNA negativity following neoadjuvant treatment and surgery could help identify superior pathological and survival benefits,which requires further confirmation in a prospective clinical trial(NCT04015778).

Background: Although some well-established oncogenes are involved in cancer initiation and progression such as prostate cancer (PCa), the long tail of cancer genes remains to be defined. Goosecoid (GSC) has been implicated in cancer development. However, the comprehensive biological role ofGSC in pan-cancer, specifically in PCa, remains unexplored. The aim of this study was to investigate the role ofGSC in PCa ***: We performed a systematic bioinformatics exploration ofGSC using datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas, Genotype-Tissue Expression, Gene Expression Omnibus, German Cancer Research Center, and our in-house cohorts. First, we evaluated the expression ofGSC and its association with patient prognosis, and identifiedGSC-relevant genetic alterations in cancers. Further, we focused on the clinical characterization and prognostic analysis ofGSC in PCa. To understand the transcriptional regulation ofGSC by E2F transcription factor 1 (E2F1), we performed chromatin immunoprecipitation quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). Functional experiments were conducted to validate the effect ofGSC on the tumor cellular phenotype and sensitivity to ***: GSC expression was elevated in various tumors and significantly correlated with patient prognosis. The alterations ofGSC contribute to the progression of various tumors especially in PCa. Patients with PCa and highGSC expression exhibited worse progression-free survival and biochemical recurrence outcomes. Further,GSC upregulation in patients with PCa was mostly accompanied with higher Gleason score, advanced tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, and elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. Mechanistically, the transcription factor,E2F1, stimulatesGSC by binding to its promoter region. Traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs)have long been utilized in the management of IS, prompting extensive research into their potential as sources of natural ferroptosis inhibitors. This review investigates the critical role of ferroptosis in IS and provides a comprehensive analysis of current research on natural ferroptosis inhibitors identified in TCMs, aiming to lay a theoretical groundwork for the development of innovative anti-IS therapies.

Future optical clock networks will require high-precision optical time-frequency transfer between satellites and ground ***,due to atmospheric turbulence,satellite motion and time delay between the satellite–ground transmission links will cause spatial and temporal variations,respectively,resulting in the breakdown of the time-of-flight reciprocity on which optical two-way time-frequency transfer is ***,we experimentally simulate the atmospheric effects by two-way spatio-temporally separated links between two stationary terminals located 113 km apart and measure the effects for optical two-way time-frequency *** experiment shows that the effect on the link instability is less than 2.3×10^(−19) at 10,000 *** indicates that when the link instability of satellite-ground optical time-frequency transfer is on the order of 10^(−19),it is not necessary to consider the atmospheric non-reciprocity effects.

Dwarfing is a pivotal agronomic trait affecting both yield and *** species exhibit substantial variation in plant height,among which internode length is a core ***,the molecular mechanism governing internode elongation remains ***,we unveiled that the transcriptional cascade consisting of B-BOX DOMAIN PROTEIN 22(BBX22)and ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5)finely tunes plant height and internode elongation in ***-of-function mutations of BBX22 in an early-flowering citrus(Citrus hindsii“SJG”)promoted internode elongation and reduced pigment accumulation,whereas ectopic expression of BBX22 in SJG,sweet orange(***),pomelo(***)or heterologous expression of BBX22 in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)significantly decreased internode ***,exogenous application of gibberellin A3(GA3)rescued the shortened internode and dwarf phenotype caused by *** experiments revealed that BBX22 played a dual role in regulation internode elongation and pigmentation in *** the one hand,it directly bound to and activated the expression of HY5,GA metabolism gene(GA2 OXIDASE 8,GA2ox8),carotenoid biosynthesis gene(PHYTOENE SYNTHASE 1,PSY1)and anthocyanin regulatory gene(Ruby1,a MYB DOMAIN PROTEIN).On the other hand,it acted as a cofactor of HY5,enhancing the ability of HY5 to regulate target genes ***,our results reveal the critical role of the transcriptional cascade consisting of BBX22 and HY5 in controlling internode elongation and pigment accumulation in *** the crosstalk regulatory mechanism between internode elongation and fruit pigmentation provides key genes for breeding of novel types with both dwarf and health-beneficial fortification in citrus.
