In this article, multiple receiver effects in a non-line-of-sight （NLOS） ultraviolet （UV） communication system is studied. The idea of using multiple receivers for diversity reception is known as a practical, effective and widely applied technique in wireless communications. The current approach is to use multiple antennas at the receiver in order to improve the quality of the received signal. A method of modeling and simulation is proposed to depict the principle and feasibility of the multiple receiver adopted in UV communication. The study provides an insight to the channel characteristics and achievable capabilities of ultraviolet communication systems with multiple receivers. It provides guidelines for practical system design with discussions on trade off between the receiver gain and the additional cost.

Online monitoring of the curing temperature field is essential to improving the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process of composite *** embedded sensor-based technologies have difficulty monitoring the full temperature field or have to introduce heterogeneous items that could have an undesired impact on the *** this paper,a non-contact,full-field monitoring method based on deep learning that predicts the internal temperature field of composite parts in real time using surface temperature measurements of auxiliary materials is *** the proposed method,an average temperature monitoring accuracy of 97%is achieved in various heating *** addition,this method also demonstrates satisfying feasibility when a stronger thermal barrier covers the *** method was experimentally validated during the self-resistance electric heating process,in which the monitoring accuracy reached 93.1%.This method can potentially be applied to automated manufacturing and process control in the composites industry.

High temperature warning indicators play a pivotal role in meteorological departments,serving as crucial criteria for issuing warnings that guide both social production and daily *** their importance,limited studies have explored the relationship between different global warming levels and changes in high temperature warning *** this study,we analyze data from 2,419 meteorological stations over China and utilize the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)models to examine historical changes in high temperature warning indicators used by the China Meteorological *** evaluate model performance and estimate future changes in these indicators using an annual cycle bias correction *** results indicate that since 1961,the number of high temperature days(TX35d and TX40d)and length of season(TX40d and TX40l)with daily maximum temperature reaching or exceeding 35℃ and 40℃ have increased over *** intensity of high temperatures(TXx)has strengthened and the geographical extent affected by high temperatures has *** 2022,the occurrence of 40℃ high temperatures surges,with Eastern China experiencing a two-day increase in TX40d and an extended seasonal length in TX40l by over five *** CMIP6 models have underestimated the high temperature indictors associated with 35℃ during historical periods,notable difference is not observed between the models and observations for TX40d and TX40l,given their rare ***,future projections,after bias correction,indicate that the increasing trends for 35℃ and 40℃ high temperature days and length of season become more pronounced than the raw projection,suggesting a more severe increase than that anticipated *** global warming intensifies,the high temperature days and length of season are projected to increase non-linearly,while the intensity of high temperatures is expected to increase *** every 1℃ increase in global temperature,the intensity is

The interface mechanism between catalyst and carbon substrate has been the focus of *** this paper,the FeCo alloy embedded N,S co-doped carbon substrate bifunctional catalyst(FeCo/S-NC)is obtained by a simple one-step pyrolysis *** experimental results and density functional theory(DFT)calculation show that the formation of FeCo alloy is conducive to promoting electron transfer,and the introduction of S atom can enhance the interaction between FeCo alloy and carbon substrate,thus inhibiting the migration and agglomeration of particles on the surface of carbon *** FeCo/SNC catalysts show outstanding performance for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).FeCo/S-NC shows a high half-wave potential(E_(1/2)=0.8823 V)for ORR and a low overpotential at 10 mA cm^(-2)(E_(j=10)=299 mV)for *** addition,compared with Pt/C+RuO_(2) assembled Zn-air battery(ZAB),the FeCo/S-NC assembled ZAB exhibits a larger power density(198.8 mW cm^(-2)),a higher specific capacity(786.1 mA h g_(zn)~(-1)),and ultra-stable cycle *** results confirm that the optimized composition and the interfacial interaction between catalyst and carbon substrate synergistically enhance the electrochemical performance.

Upper ocean heat content(OHC)has been widely recognized as a crucial precursor to high-impact climate variability,especially for that being indispensable to the long-term memory of the *** the predictability of OHC using state-of-the-art climate models is invaluable for improving and advancing climate *** developed retrospective forecast experiments,based on a Community Earth System Model ensemble prediction system,offer a great opportunity to comprehensively explore OHC *** results indicate that the skill of actual OHC predictions varies across different oceans and diminishes as the lead time of prediction *** spatial distribution of the actual prediction skill closely resembles the corresponding persistence skill,indicating that the persistence of OHC serves as the primary predictive signal for its *** decline in actual prediction skill is more pronounced in the Indian and Atlantic oceans than in the Pacific Ocean,particularly within tropical ***,notable seasonal variations in the actual prediction skills across different oceans align well with the phase-locking features of OHC *** potential predictability of OHC generally surpasses the actual prediction skill at all lead times,highlighting significant room for improvement in current OHC predictions,especially for the North Indian Ocean and the Atlantic *** such improvements necessitates a collaborative effort to enhance the quality of ocean observations,develop effective data assimilation methods,and reduce model bias.

Objective:Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase(GPI)deficiency is a rare hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia caused by GPI gene *** disorder exhibits wide heterogeneity in its clinical manifestations and molecular characteristics,often posing challenges for precise diagnoses using conventional *** this end,this study aimed to identify the novel variants responsible for GPI deficiency in a Chinese ***:The clinical manifestations of the patient were summarized and analyzed for GPI deficiency phenotype *** compound heterozygous variants of the GPI gene,c.174C>A(***58Lys)and c.1538G>T(***513Leu),were identified using whole-exome and Sanger *** AlphaFold program and Chimera software were used to analyze the effects of compound heterozygous variants on GPI ***:By characterizing 53 GPI missense/nonsense variants from previous literature and two novel missense variants identified in this study,we found that most variants were located in exons 3,4,12,and 18,with a few localized in exons 8,9,and *** study identified novel compound heterozygous variants associated with GPI *** pathogenic variants disrupt hydrogen bonds formed by highly conserved GPI amino ***:Early family-based sequencing analyses,especially for patients with congenital anemia,can help increase diagnostic accuracy for GPI deficiency,improve child healthcare,and enable genetic counseling.

The exploration of efficient,long-lived and cost-effective transition metal catalysts is highly desirable for the practical hydrogen storage of magnesium hydride(MgH_(2)) in sustainable energy ***,FeCoNiCrTi high-entropy alloy(HEA) nanosheets were prepared via a facile wet chemical ball milling strategy and they were introduced into MgH_(2) to boost the hydrogen storage *** refined HEA exhibited superior catalytic activity on MgH_(2).In contrast to additive-free MgH_(2),the initial desorption temperature of the constructed MgH_(2)-HEA composite was reduced from 330.0 to 198.5℃ and a remarkable 51% reduction in the dehydrogenation activation energy was ***,the MgH_(2)-HEA composite only required one-twentieth time of that consumed by pure MgH_(2) to absorb 5.0 wt% of H_(2) at 225℃.The synergy between the "hydrogen pumping" effect of Mg_2Ni/Mg_2NiH_4 and Mg_2Co/Mg_2CoH_5 couples,as well as the good dispersion of Fe,Cr and Ti on the surface of MgH_(2) contributed to the enhanced de/hydrogenation performance of the MgH_(2)-HEA *** study furnishes important steering for the design and fabrication of multiple transition metal catalysts and may push the commercial application of magnesium-based hydrides one step forward.

Infectious diseases are a great threat to human *** and accurate detection of pathogens is important in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious *** next-generation sequencing(mNGS)is an unbiased and comprehensive approach for detecting all RNA and DNA in a *** the development of sequencing and bioinformatics technologies,mNGS is moving from research to clinical application,which opens a new avenue for pathogen *** studies have revealed good potential for the clinical application of mNGS in infectious diseases,especially in difficult-to-detect,rare,and novel ***,there are several hurdles in the clinical application of mNGS,such as:(1)lack of universal workflow validation and quality assurance;(2)insensitivity to high-host background and low-biomass samples;and(3)lack of standardized instructions for mass data analysis and report ***,a complete understanding of this new technology will help promote the clinical application of mNGS to infectious *** review briefly introduces the history of next-generation sequencing,mainstream sequencing platforms,and mNGS workflow,and discusses the clinical applications of mNGS to infectious diseases and its advantages and disadvantages.
