Acupuncture with different frequencies for tobacco dependence: a randomized controlled trial

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of different acupuncture frequencies on the abstinence rate which could be used as a reference for optimizing acupuncture cessation ***: From July 2.18 to June 2.2.， a total of 2.0 smokers were recruited based on inclusion criteria and randomly divided into the high-frequency acupuncture group (HF group， n = 110): 5 times a week from the 1st to the 4th week， from weeks 5 to 8， three times a week and the low-frequency acupuncture group (LF group， n = 110): 3 times a week from the 1st to the 4th week， from weeks 5 to 8， twice a week， then treated for 8 weeks and follow-up at 1 month in ***: In total， 162.subjects completed the whole study with a drop-out rate of 2..45%. The expiratory CO point abstinence rate was HF group 53/110 (48.18%) vs LF group 41/110 (37.2.%) in Week 8 (P = 0.102. and HF group 46/110 (41.82.) vs LF group 45/110 (40.91%) in Week 12.(P = 0.891) and the HF acupuncture and LF acupuncture were nearly equal in the 8-week abstinence rate. In addition， both HF and LF acupuncture significantly reduced Fagerstr?m test for nicotine dependence scale (FTND) scores (P < 0.05)， Minnesota nicotine withdrawal scale (MNWS) scores (P < 0.05)， and Brief Questionnaire of Smoking Urges scale (QSU-Brief) scores (P < 0.05)， but HF acupuncture showed some superiority over LF acupuncture in relieving patients' smoking cravings (P < 0.05).Conclusions: The study initially showed that both high-frequency acupuncture and low-frequency acupuncture treatment were safe and effective on smoking cessation for 8 weeks， but high-frequency acupuncture was advantageous in reducing smoking cravings. More accurate acupuncture frequency needs to be validated through larger clinical studies to optimize acupuncture smoking cessation programs.

To improve the oxidation resistance of short carbon fiber(C_(sf))-reinforced mechanically alloyed SiBCN(MA-SiBCN)(C_(sf)/MA-SiBCN)composites,dense amorphous C_(sf)/SiBCN composites containing both MA-SiBCN and polymer-derived ceramics SiBCN(PDCs-SiBCN)were prepared by repeated polymer infiltration and pyrolysis(PIP)of layered C_(sf)/MA-SiBCN composites at 1100℃,and the oxidation behavior and damage mechanism of the as-prepared C_(sf)/SiBCN at 1300–1600℃ were compared and discussed with those of C_(sf)/*** C_(sf)/MA-SiBCN composites resist oxidation attack up to 1400℃ but fail at 1500℃ due to the collapse of the porous framework,while the PIP-densified C_(sf)/SiBCN composites are resistant to static air up to 1600℃.During oxidation,oxygen diffuses through preexisting pores and the pores left by oxidation of carbon fibers and pyrolytic carbon(PyC)to the interior of the *** to the oxidative coupling effect of the MA-SiBCN and PDCs-SiBCN matrices,a relatively continuous and dense oxide layer is formed on the sample surface,and the interfacial region between the oxide layer and the matrix of the as-prepared composite contains an amorphous glassy structure mainly consisting of Si and O and an incompletely oxidized but partially crystallized matrix,which is primarily responsible for improving the oxidation resistance.

Molecular dielectric switches constitute a type of intelligent materials that are highly coveted for their distinctive advantages of switchable dielectric responses,lightweight,and mechanical ***(2.)hybrid perovskites have demonstrated excellent promise for assembling dielectric switches,in which the dynamic motions of organic moieties afford driving force to trigger switchable dielectric phase ***,we successfully assembled a new lead-free hybrid double perovskite,(CHA)4Cu Bi Br8(1,CHA=cyclohexylammonium),adopting a typical 2. structural motif,which shows dielectric anisotropy and bistable behaviors during the reversible phase transition near T_(c)=378 K(the Curie temperature).That is,its dielectric constants could be switched and tuned between high-dielectric and low-dielectric *** analyses reveal that the ordered-disordered transformation of the organic CHA+moiety and distortion of inorganic framework account for its phase *** result will stimulate further exploration of molecular dielectric switches in this 2. environmentally friendly family.

In the past 5 years,there has been significant research interest in the intrinsic magnetic topological insulator family compounds MnBi2.2.Te4+3n（where n=0,1,2.）.In particular,exfoliated thin films of MnBi2.e4have led to numerous experimental breakthroughs,such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect,axion insulator phase and high-Chern number quantum Hall effect without Landau ***,despite extensive efforts,the energy gap of the topological surface states due to exchange magnetic coupling,which is a key feature of the characteristic band structure of the system,remains experimentally *** electronic structure measured by using angle-resolved photoemission （ARPES） shows significant deviation from ab initio prediction and scanning tunneling spectroscopy measurements,making it challenging to understand the transport results based on the electronic *** paper reviews the measurements of the band structure of MnBi2.2.Te4+3nmagnetic topological insulators using ARPES,focusing on the evolution of their electronic structures with temperature,surface and bulk doping and film *** aim of the review is to construct a unified picture of the electronic structure of MnBi2.2.Te4+3ncompounds and explore possible control of their topological properties.

In response to the increasing penetration of volatile and uncertain renewable energy,the regional transmission organizations(RTOs)have been recently focusing on enhancing the models of pump storage hydropower(PSH)plants,which are one of the key flexibility assets in the day-ahead(DA)and real-time(RT)markets,to further boost their flexibility provision *** by the recent research works that explored the potential benefits of excluding PSHs’cost-related terms from the objective functions of the DA market clearing model,this paper completes a rolling RT market scheme that is compatible with the DA ***,with the vision that PSHs could be permitted to submit state-of-charge(SOC)headrooms in the DA market and to release them in the RT market,this paper uncovers that PSHs could increase the total revenues from the two markets by optimizing their SOC headrooms,assisted by the proposed tri-level optimal SOC headroom ***,in the proposed tri-level model,the middle and lower levels respectively mimic the DA and RT scheduling processes of PSHs,and the upper level determines the optimal headrooms to be submitted to the RTO for maximizing the total revenue from the two *** case studies quantify the profitability of the optimal SOC headroom submissions as well as the associated financial risks.

In recent years,the research field of data collection under local differential privacy(LDP)has expanded its focus fromelementary data types to includemore complex structural data,such as set-value and graph ***,our comprehensive review of existing literature reveals that there needs to be more studies that engage with key-value data *** studies would simultaneously collect the frequencies of keys and the mean of values associated with each ***,the allocation of the privacy budget between the frequencies of keys and the means of values for each key does not yield an optimal utility *** the importance of obtaining accurate key frequencies and mean estimations for key-value data collection,this paper presents a novel framework:the Key-Strategy Framework forKey-ValueDataCollection under ***,theKey-StrategyUnary Encoding(KS-UE)strategy is proposed within non-interactive frameworks for the purpose of privacy budget allocation to achieve precise key frequencies;subsequently,the Key-Strategy Generalized Randomized Response(KS-GRR)strategy is introduced for interactive frameworks to enhance the efficiency of collecting frequent keys through group-anditeration *** strategies are adapted for scenarios in which users possess either a single or multiple key-value ***,we demonstrate that the variance of KS-UE is lower than that of existing *** claims are substantiated through extensive experimental evaluation on real-world datasets,confirming the effectiveness and efficiency of the KS-UE and KS-GRR strategies.
