Removal of Nitrogen Compounds from Fuels by Deep Eutectic Solvent Based on 1-Butyl-3-Methylimidazolium Bromide and Dicarboxylic Acids

1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide-based ([Bmim]Br-based) deep eutectic solvents (DESs) can be used aseffective extractants for removing nitrogen compounds from fuel oil. Among the DESs studied, the combination of [Bmim]Brand malonic acid (MA) in a 1:1 molar ratio demonstrated good performance for the removal of both basic and non-basic Ncompounds. The DES [Bmim]Br-MA exhibited extraction efficiencies of 98.4% for quinoline and 92.9% for indole after 30min at 30 ℃ with a DES/oil mass ratio of 1/7. Moreover, the extraction efficiencies remained high at 86.4% for quinolineand 85.9% for indole after recycling the DES four times.. In addition, the DES [Bmim]Br-MA could effectively removeN compounds from Fushun shale diesel oil, with extraction efficiencies of 83.5% for total nitrogen and 89.9% for basicnitrogen at a DES/oil mass ratio of 1/1.

Humic acids(HAs) are widely used as filtrate and viscosity reducers in drilling fluids. However, their practical utility is limited due to poor stability in salt resistance and high-temperature resistance. Hightemperature coal pitch(CP) is a by-product from coal pyrolysis above 650.C. The substance's molecular structure is characterized by a dense arrangement of aromatic hydrocarbon and alkyl substituents. This unique structure gives it unique chemical properties and excellent drilling performance, surpassing traditional humic acids in drilling operations. Potassium humate is prepared from CP(CP-HA-K) by thermal catalysis. A new type of high-quality humic acid temperature-resistant viscosity-reducer(Graft CP-HA-K polymer) is synthesized with CP-HA-K, hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile sodium salt(Na-HPAN),urea, formaldehyde, phenol and acrylamide(AAM) as raw materials. The experimental results demonstrate that the most favorable conditions for the catalytic preparation of CP-HA-K are 1 wt% catalyst dosage, 30 wt% KOH dosage, a reaction temperature of 250.C, and a reaction time of 2 h, resulting in a maximum yield of CP-HA-K of 39.58%. The temperature resistance of the Graft CP-HA-K polymer is measured to be 177.39.C, which is 55.39.C higher than that of commercial HA-K. This is due to the abundant presence of amide, hydroxyl, and amine functional groups in the Graft CP-HA-K polymer,which increase the length of the carbon chains, enhance the electrostatic repulsion on the surface of solid particles. After being aged to 120.C for a specified duration, the Graft CP-HA-K polymer demonstrates significantly higher viscosity reduction(42.12%) compared to commercial HA-K(C-HA-K). Furthermore,the Graft CP-HA-K polymer can tolerate a high salt concentration of 8000 mg.L-1, measured after the addition of optimum amount of 3 wt% Graft CP-HA-K polymer. Magnitude and direction of temperature variability affect hospitalization for myocardial infarction and stroke:population-based evidence from Guangzhou,China

Relationships between nonoptimal temperatures and cardiovascular disease(CVD)mortality have been well ***,evidence of the association between temperature variability(TV)and CVD morbidity is *** study aimed to quantify the risk and burden of CVD-related hospitalization associated with the magnitude and direction of *** on meteorology and population-based hospitalizations for myocardial infarction(MI)and stroke were collected in Guangzhou,China,from 2013 to *** temperature variability(HTV)was measured as the standard deviation of hourly temperature records over specific exposure *** direction(upward or downward)of HTV was defined as the average daily mean temperature change relative to that of the previous day during the exposure ***-Poisson regression was applied to assess the impact of HTV after adjusting for the daily mean temperature,and the hospitalization fractions attributable to HTV were calculated.A 1℃-increase in HTV was significantly associated with a 2.24%and 1.72%increase in hospitalizations for MI and hemorrhagic stroke(HS)at lag 0–1 d,respectively,and a 1.55%increase in hospitalizations for ischemic stroke(IS)at lag 0–3 *** the study period,5.99%,4.64%,and 4.53%of MI,HS,and IS hospitalizations,respectively,were attributable to *** upward TV exerts acute effects on CVD hospital admissions,whereas the impact of downward TV generally *** findings highlight the importance of the magnitude and direction of temperature fluctuations,in addition to the mean level,in assessing the adverse health impacts of temperature variations.

Superatomic Ag_(58) nanoclusters incorporating a [MS_(4)@Ag_(12)]^(2+)(M = Mo or W) kernel show aggregation-induced emission

In core-shell silver nanoclusters,the control of core structure presents a more formidable challenge compared to that of the shell ***,we report the successful synthesis and characterization of four distinct silver thiolate nanoclusters[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)@Ag_(46)S_(24)(dppb)_(12)](M=Mo or W),each incorporating a cup-like[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)]^(2+)*** nanoclusters were meticulously prepared using(NH_(4))2Mo S4or(NH_(4))_(2)WS_(4)as both a template and a controlled source of ***,we have observed a unique configuration within these eight-electron superatomic Ag_(58) nanoclusters,where the zerovalent Ag atoms reside exclusively within the inner[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)]^(2+)*** stands in contrast to other superatomic clusters possessing an Ag(0)***,the introduction of phenyl-containing compounds during the synthesis process induced a transformation in the space group symmetry from C_(2)/c to I 4ˉ.This transformative effect was found to originate from the interplay between adjacent 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane(dppb)ligands,which facilitated enhanced emission through aggregationinduced intermolecular interactions,specifically C-H···π***,our findings contribute substantively to the understanding of the intricate relationship between nanocluster structures and their corresponding properties,shedding light on the crucial roles played by templates and diphosphine ligands in this context.

Four-birds-with-one-stone:A multifunctional Ti-based material for solar-driven water evaporation

Sustainable,environmentally friendly and low-energy desalination materials have important research value for the increasing demand of freshwater year by ***,it is a huge challenge to maintain high heat energy transfer efficiency without reducing the heat conversion capacity of specific solar photothermal conversion ***,their efficiency and durability are greatly limited by the problems of seawater corrosion,oil,and bacteria *** now,no related work has been reported to solve all the aforementioned problems via a simple four-birds-with-one-stone ***,a class of multifunctional porous photothermal silver(Ag)modified Ti foams(Tf-TA/Ag series materials)is prepared for the development of advanced solar water evaporation devices,and provides alternative materials for alleviating freshwater crisis and treating *** oil contact angle(OCA)changes from 41°to 180°,which significantly reduces the adhesion of *** addition,Tf-TA2/Ag sample also shows an excellent and sustained antibacterial effect,which maintains above 99.9%of antibacterial rate after repeated 5 *** surface temperature of the Tf-TA2/Ag sample reaches 52.5℃ after simulated sun irradiation for 20 min,which is significantly higher than that of the contact groups(water:36.4℃,Ti foam:38.2℃ and Tf-TA2:40.9℃).The capacity of seawater evaporation and salt removal is enhanced due to the excellent photothermal properties,low reflectance,and uniform heat dissipation *** water production efficiency of Tf-TA2/Ag sample is 1.41 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1) in artificial seawater and 0.76 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1) in oily sewage under simulated sun ***,the hydrophilic and oleophobic properties of Tf-TA2/Ag are critical to extracting water from oil/water mixture in diverse water ***,this four-birds-with-one-stone approach provides a new perspective for the improvement of solar seawater desalination performance.
