Carbon-supported Pt-based materials are highly promising electrocatalysts.The carbon support plays an important role in the Pt-based catalysts by remarkably influencing the growth,particle size,morphology,dispersion,electronic structure,physiochemical property and function of Pt.This review summarizes recent progress made in the development of carbon-supported Pt-based catalysts,with special emphasis being given to how activity and stability enhancements are related to Pt–C interactions in various carbon supports,including porous carbon,heteroatom doped carbon,carbon-based binary support,and their corresponding electrocatalytic applications.Finally,the current challenges and future prospects in the development of carbon-supported Pt-based catalysts are discussed.

Dear Editor,Most human genetic diseases arise from mutations such as insertion,deletion,or point mutations(Landrum et al.,2016).CRISPRCas system has been repurposed to correct pathogenic mutations in a variety of genetic diseases(Choi et al.,2022).There are many concerns about using CRISPR-mediated double-stranded DNA breaks(DSBs)for therapeutic purposes,primarily due to off-targeted mutations(Kosicki et al.,2018).Nevertheless,base editing cannot correct deletions,insertions,or some point mutations such as transversion mutations.Prime editing has its advantages of precisely correct point mutations,small insertions,or deletions in animal cells(Anzalone et al.,2019)and plants(Lin et al.,2020).However,prime editing efficiency varies among genomic sites or cell types(Chen et al.,2021;Nelson et al.,2022).

Osteosarcoma is a very serious primary bone cancer with a high death rate and a dismal prognosis.Since there is no permanent therapy for this condition,it is necessary to develop a cure.Therefore,this investigation was carried out to assess the impacts and biological functions of hydroxysafflor yellow A(HYSA)in osteosarcoma cell lines(MG63).In this investigational study,MG63 cells were utilized.Microarray experiments,quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR),immunofluorescent staining,extracellular acidification rate(ECAR),oxygen consumption rate(OCR),glucose consumption,lactate production,and ATP levels,proliferation assay,5-Ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine(EDU)staining,and Western blot were performed.In MG63 cells,HYSA lowered cell proliferation and metastasis rates,suppressed EDU cell number,and enhanced caspase-3/9 activity levels.HYSA reduced the Warburg effect and induced ferroptosis(FPT)in MG63 cells.Inhibiting ferroptosis diminished HYSA’s anti-cancer activities in MG63 cells.The stimulation of the HIF-1α/SLC7A11 pathway decreased HYSA’s anti-cancer activities in MG63 cells.HIF-1αis one target spot for HYSA in a model of osteosarcoma cancer(OC).HYSA altered HIF-1α’s thermophoretic activity;following binding with HYSA,HIF-1α’s melting point increased from~55°C to~60°C.HYSA significantly enhanced the thermal stability of exogenous WT HIF-1αwhile not affecting Mut HIF-1α,suggesting that ARG-311,GLY-312,GLN-347,and GLN-387 may be involved in the interaction between HIF-1αand HYSA.Conclusively,our study revealed that HYSA induced FPT and reduced the Warburg effect of OC through mitochondrial damage by HIF-1α/HK2/SLC7A11 pathway.HYSA is a possible therapeutic option for OC or other cancers.

采用高分辨电感耦合等离子体质谱(HR-ICP-MS)和地积累指数法(I_(geo))对黄河甘肃、宁夏和内蒙古自治区连续三段表层沉积物中重金属(Cr,Pb,Cd,Cu,Zn和Ni)的空间分布和季节性波动(丰水期、枯水期和平水期)以及污染状况进行系统研究分析,研究结果表明:内蒙古段三个季节中沉积物重金属含量都高于甘肃和宁夏段,同时,除Cd外,丰水期所有点的沉积物重金属含量都高于枯水期和平水期,而枯水期和平水期的重金属含量相近。I_(geo)结果显示丰、枯水期的Cd,Cu和Cr元素的I_(geo)值在内蒙古段最高,而在甘肃段最低;所有重金属的I_(geo)值在丰水期高于枯水期,除Cd外,都在平水期降低,而I_(geo)^(Cd)在平水期各采样点明显上升;丰水期的甘肃段、枯水期的甘肃和宁夏段以及平水期的所有采样点中的Pb,Zn和Ni的I_(geo)值都小于0,表明这些元素在这些点几乎无污染。就研究区域而言,内蒙古段的重金属含量以及生态风险最高,Cr,Cd和Cu是最具有潜在风险的三个元素;就研究季节而言,丰水期的重金属含量和潜在风险高于枯水期和平水期,可能是跟丰水期沉积物的pH和总有机碳(TOC)含量较高有关。相关性分析(CCA)用来探究重金属与pH/TOC间的关系以及重金属的潜在来源。CCA的结果表明Pb,Cu,Zn和Ni互相相关,并且这四种元素容易受到周围环境pH和TOC的影响,除此之外,Cr,Cd以及TOC三者相关,且这两种元素受到人类活动影响较严重。该研究工作可为研究区域表层沉积物重金属在不同季节的环境行为提供有效的信息,同时,研究重金属、pH和TOC之间的相关性可有效揭示重金属的潜在来源。

Quantitative characterization of tight gas sandstone reservoirs using seismic data via an integrated rock-physics-based framework

Seismic characterizing of tight gas sandstone (TGS) reservoirs is essential for identifying promising gas-bearing regions. However, exploring the petrophysical significance of seismic-inverted elastic properties is challenging due to the complex microstructures in TGSs. Meanwhile, interbedded structures of sandstone and mudstone intensify the difficulty in accurately extracting the crucial tight sandstone properties. An integrated rock-physics-based framework is proposed to estimate the reservoir quality of TGSs from seismic data. TGSs with complex pore structures are modeled using the double-porosity model, providing a practical tool to compute rock physics templates for reservoir parameter estimation. The VP/VS ratio is utilized to predict the cumulative thickness of the TGS reservoirs within the target range via the threshold value evaluated from wireline logs for lithology discrimination. This approach also facilitates better capturing the elastic properties of the TGSs for quantitative seismic interpretation. Total porosity is estimated from P-wave impedance using the correlation obtained based on wireline log analysis. After that, the three-dimensional rock-physics templates integrated with the estimated total porosity are constructed to interpret microfracture porosity and gas saturation from velocity ratio and bulk modulus. The integrated framework can optimally estimate the parameters dominating the reservoir quality. The results of the indicator proposed based on the obtained parameters are in good agreement with the gas productions and can be utilized to predict promising TGS reservoirs. Moreover, the results suggest that considering microfracture porosity allows a more accurate prediction of high-quality reservoirs, further validating the applicability of the proposed method in the studied region.

Let(Z_(n))be a supercritical bisexual branching process in a random environmentξ.We study the almost sure(a.s.)convergence rate of the submartingale W_(n)=Z_(n)/In to its limit W,where(In)is an usually used norming sequence.We prove that under a moment condition of order p∈(1,2),W-W_(n)=o(e^(-na))a.***.for some a>0 that we find explicitly;assuming the logarithmic moment condition holds,we haveW-W_(n)=o(n^(-α))a.s..In order to obtain these results,we provide the L^(p)-convergence of(W_(n));similar conclusions hold for a bisexual branching process in a varying environment.

Online monitoring of the curing temperature field is essential to improving the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process of composite parts.Traditional embedded sensor-based technologies have difficulty monitoring the full temperature field or have to introduce heterogeneous items that could have an undesired impact on the part.In this paper,a non-contact,full-field monitoring method based on deep learning that predicts the internal temperature field of composite parts in real time using surface temperature measurements of auxiliary materials is proposed.Using the proposed method,an average temperature monitoring accuracy of 97%is achieved in various heating patterns.In addition,this method also demonstrates satisfying feasibility when a stronger thermal barrier covers the part.This method was experimentally validated during the self-resistance electric heating process,in which the monitoring accuracy reached 93.1%.This method can potentially be applied to automated manufacturing and process control in the composites industry.

Purpose::To retrospectively analyze the clinical outcomes of meniscus repair with simultaneous anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction and explore the causes of failure of meniscus repair.Methods::From May 2013 to July 2018,the clinical data of 165 patients who were treated with meniscus surgery and simultaneous ACL reconstruction,including 69 cases of meniscus repair(repair group)and 96 cases of partial meniscectomy(partial meniscectomy group)were retrospectively analyzed.The exclusion criteria were as follows:(1)ACL rupture associated with fracture,collateral ligament injury,or complex ligament injury;(2)a history of knee surgery;or(3)a significant degree of osteoarthritis.The 69 patients in the repair group were divided into the non-failure group(62 cases)and the failure group(7 cases)depending on the repair effect.Postoperative outcomes of the repair group and the partial meniscectomy group were compared.General conditions and postoperative outcomes of the failure group and the non-failure group were compared.During the median follow-up period of 28 months(range,4-65 months)after the second arthroscopy,postoperative outcomes of seven patients in the failure group were summarized.SPSS 25.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.A p value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results::Seven patients in the failure group who underwent the second arthroscopy were followed up for(30±17.4)months and their postoperative outcomes were summarized.Compared with the partial meniscectomy group,the International Knee Documentation Committee scores of patients in the repair group improved significantly(p=0.031).Compared with the non-failure group,more patients in the failure group were younger than 24 years(p=0.030).The median follow-up period was 39.5 months.All patients recovered well after subsequent partial meniscectomy and relieved clinical symptoms.Visual analog scale scores decreased significantly(p=0.026),and the International Knee Documentation Committee and Lysholm scores i

To the Editor:Hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidant,which is commonly used as a disinfectant mainly in medical and chemical workplaces.Hydrogen peroxide poisoning causes brain infarction,and ingestion of hydrogen peroxide injures the upper gastrointestinal tract.[1]Besides,food poisoning is often caused due to hydrogen peroxide.A case has been reported in China that cerebral embolism was caused by oral hydrogen peroxide poisoning.[2]The first two cases of hydrogen peroxide poisoning caused by sterilization and disinfection in China are illustrated in this article.
