To better understand the etiology of begomovirus epidemics in regions under invasion we need to know how indigenous and invasive whitefly vectors respond to virus infection. We investigated both direct and indirect effects of infection with Tomato yellow leaf curl virus （TYLCV） on the performance of the invasive Q biotype and the indigenous Asian ZHJ2 biotype of whitefly Bemisia tabaci. The Q biotype performed better than the ZHJ2 biotype on either uninfected or virus-infected tomato plants. However, virus-infection of host plants did not, or only marginally affected, the performance of either biotype of whiteflies in terms of fecundity, longevity, survival, development and population increase. Likewise, association of the vectors with TYLCV did not affect fecundity and longevity of the Q or ZHJ2 biotypes on cotton, a non-host of TYLCV. These results indicate that the alien Q biotype whitefly, but not the indigenous ZHJ2 biotype, is likely to become the major vector of TYLCV in the field and facilitate virus epidemics.

The worldwide distribution and extensive genetic diversity of the whitefly,Bemisia tabaci,has long been ***,the levels of separation within *** and the nomenclature of the various genetic groups have been a subject of *** phylogenetic analyses indicate that *** is a complex composed of 28 morphologically indistinguishable *** this article,we first review the debate and difficulties associated with ***＇s taxonomy and systematics,and argue for the need to apply the biological species concept in order to elucidate ***＇s *** summarize the accumulated genetic and behavioural data on reproductive incompatibilities evident amongst phylogenetic mtCOI groups of *** studies have been conducted with 14 of the 28 putative species covering 54 reciprocal inter-species pairs,and observations on mating behaviour have been conducted for seven species *** from both crossing trials and behavioural observations indicate a consistent pattern of reproductive isolation among the putative *** then discuss the technical and conceptual complexities associated with crossing experiments and behavioural observations designed to reveal reproductive ***,we elaborate on a strategy for further clarifying the pattern of reproductive isolation between *** groups and propose future research directions on the systematics of this complex.

The whitefly Bemisia tabaci has risen to international prominence since the 1980s due to the rapid spread around the globe by the two species B and Q within this species *** invasion of B has often been associated with the displacement of indigenous *** the genetic structure of *** is diverse,more case studies of the competitive relationships between B and indigenous species of the whitefly species complex will help to understand further the mechanisms underlying the invasion of *** examined the competitive interactions between B and ZHJ2,a widely distributed indigenous whitefly in Asia,on host plants with differential levels of suitability to the two species in the laboratory,and also tested the effect of insecticide application on the competitive *** species of plants were tested including cotton,a plant showing similar levels of suitability to both species,squash,a plant showing higher suitability to B than to ZHJ2,and kidney bean,a plant showing higher suitability to ZHJ2 than to *** the case of no insecticide application,B displaced ZHJ2 on cotton,squash,and kidney bean by the 6th,3rd and 10th generation,*** the application of imidacloprid,the displacement of ZHJ2 by B on cotton occurred by the 5th *** the displacement progressed,the proportion of B females increased,and the proportion of ZHJ2 females decreased on cotton and *** contrast,on kidney bean the proportion of B females remained unchanged while that of ZHJ2 *** results show the strong capacity of the invasive B to displace ZHJ2,and indicate that host plants with differential levels of suitability to the two species may affect the speed but not the trend of displacement and insecticide application may accelerate the process of displacement.

Cold stress responses help insects to survive under low temperatures that would be lethal *** phenomenon might contribute to the invasion of some Bemisia tabaci cryptic species from subtropical areas to temperate ***,the molecular mechanisms regulating cold stress responses in whitefly are yet ***-activated protein kinases（MAPKs）which including p38,ERK,and JNK,are well known for their roles in regulating metabolic responses to cold stress in many *** this study,we explored the possible roles of the MAPKs in response to low temperature stresses in the Mediterranean cryptic species（the Q-biotype）of the *** species ***,we cloned the p38 and ERK genes from the whitefly cDNA ***,we analyzed the activation of MAPKs during cold stress in the Mediterranean cryptic species by *** cold stress,the level of phospho-p38 increased but no significant change was observed in the phosphorylation of ERK and JNK,thus suggesting that the p38 might be responsible for the defense response to low temperature ***,we demonstrated that：i）3 min chilling at 0°C was sufficient for the activation of p38 MAPK pathway in this whitefly;and ii）the amount of phosphorylated p38 increased significantly in the first 20 min of chilling,reversed by 60 min,and then returned to the original level by 120 *** together,our results suggest that the p38 pathway is important during response to low temperature stress in the Mediterranean cryptic species of the *** species complex.

Effect of Exogenous MJA Treatment of Tea Plants on the Growth of Geometrid Larvae

The effect of tea plant Camellia sinensis induced by exogenous methyl jasmonate （MJA） on lipoxygenase （LOX）, polyphenol oxidase （PPO） and proteinase inhibitor （PI） activity in the leaves of tea plants, as well as the growth and midgut proteinase activity of the geometrid Ectropis obliqua larvae were studied. MJA significantly induced LOX, PPO and PI activity in leaves of tea plants. When geometrid larvae have fed on leaves of tea plants treated with MJA, the activities of the high alkaline trypsin-like enzyme and chymotrypsin-like enzyme in their midgut were significantly inhibited, but the activities of the low alkaline trypsin-like enzyme in their midgut were unaffected, leading to imbalance between different types of proteinase activity in the midgut of the larvae and in turn, the growth were inhibited. These chains of response may be an important mechanism of the direct resistance induced by MJA-treatment of tea plant on geometrid larvae.

The preparation of carbon-based electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbers possessing thin matching thickness,wide absorption bandwidth,strong absorption intensity,and low filling ratio remains a huge ***-organic frameworks(MOFs)are ideal self-sacrificing templates for the construction of carbon-based EMW *** this work,bimetallic FeMn-MOF-derived MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites were fabricated via a two-step route of solvothermal reaction and the following pyrolysis *** results re-veal the evolution of the microscopic morphology of carbon skeletons from loofah-like to octahedral and then to polyhedron and pomegran-ate after the adjustment of the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ***,at the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ratio of 2:1,the obtained MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composite exhibited the highest EMW absorption ***,a minimum reflection loss of-72.7 dB and a max-imum effective absorption bandwidth of 5.1 GHz were achieved at a low filling ratio of 10wt%.In addition,the possible EMW absorp-tion mechanism of MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites was ***,the results of this work will contribute to the construction of broadband and efficient carbon-based EMW absorbers derived from MOFs.

The prediction of molecular properties is a fundamental task in the field of drug ***,graph neural networks(GNNs)have been gaining prominence in this *** a molecule tends to have multiple correlated properties,there is a great need to develop the multi-task learning ability of ***,limited by expensive and time-consuming human annotations,collecting complete labels for each task is *** a result,most existing benchmarks involve many missing labels in training data,and the performance of GNNs is impaired due to the lack of sufficient supervision *** overcome this obstacle,we propose to improve multi-task molecular property prediction by missing label ***,a bipartite graph is first introduced to model the molecule-task co-occurrence ***,the imputation of missing labels is transformed into predicting missing edges on this bipartite *** predict the missing edges,a graph neural network is devised,which can learn the complex molecule-task co-occurrence *** that,we select reliable pseudo labels according to the uncertainty of the prediction *** with enough and reliable supervision information,our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance on a variety of real-world datasets.

To explain the influence mechanism of MgO on the consolidation and reduction characteristics of roasted iron pellets,the properties and structure of pellets were investigated from *** indicated that the MgO addition decreased the reduction swelling index(RSI)and reduction degree of pellets in both CO and H_(2)*** the stepwise reduction process of Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO,the reduction behaviour of pellets in CO and H_(2)was similar,while the reduction rate of pellets in H_(2)atmosphere was almost twice as high as that in CO *** the stepwise reduction process of FeO→Fe,the RSI of pellets showed a logarithmic increase in CO atmosphere and a linear decrease in H_(2)*** investigated by first-principles calculations,C and Fe mainly formed chemical bonds,and the CO reduction process released energy,promoting the formation of iron ***,H and Fe produced weak physical adsorption,and the H_(2)reduction process was endothermic,inhibiting the generation of iron *** Mg2+doping in FexO,the nucleation region of iron whiskers expanded in CO reduction process,and the morphology of iron whiskers transformed from“slender”to“stocky,”reducing RSI of the pellets.

随着传统信仰的失落,处于社会最底层的元曲家对封建政治的价值普遍采取了否定的态度。元代黑暗的社会现实又促进了“避世”思想的膨胀,成为中国避世哲学的和声,并在元散曲中得到了充分的体现。貌似游戏文字的散曲,能更自然地流露在传统诗词里不易流露的真情,发泄内心的牢骚。基于上述原因,元曲家对屈原的忠君爱国、清廉、独醒等为历代文人所推崇的传统美德进行了重新评价,将其作为对立面予以了彻底的否定。

针对重力式沉箱工程应用的技术不足,研究设计了一种镂空式管桩组合结构。通过理论分析、数值计算、工程案例设计,阐述新结构关键指标的优越性:结构所受极端状态波浪力仅为传统圆筒沉箱的13.5%;基底应力最大值不超过300 kPa;结构吊装吨位可控制在1000吨级左右;工程材料为传统沉箱用料质量的10%~25%;主受力构件为工厂预制件。
