A WISE view of IRAS debris disks: revising the dust properties

Debris disks around stars are considered as components of planetary systems.Constraining the dust properties of these disks can give crucial information to formation and evolution of planetary systems.As an all-sky survey,InfRared Astronomical Satellite(IRAS)gave great contribution to the debris disk searching which discovered the first debris disk host star(Vega).The IRAS-detected debris disk sample published by Rhee(Rhee et al.2007)contains 146 stars with detailed information of dust properties.While the dust properties of 45 of them still cannot be determined due to the limitations with the IRAS database(have IRAS detection at 60μm only).Therefore,using more sensitivity data of Wide-.field Infrared Survey Explorer(WISE),we can better characterize the sample stars:for the stars with IRAS detection at 60μm only,we refit the excessive flux densities and obtain the dust temperatures and fractional luminosities;while for the remaining stars with multi-bands IRAS detections,the dust properties are revised which show that the dust temperatures were overestimated in the high temperature band before.Moreover,we identify 17 stars with excesses at the WISE 22μm which have smaller distribution of distance from Earth and higher fractional luminosities than the other stars without mid-infrared excess emission.Among them,15 stars can be found in previous works.

Cost-sensitive learning has been applied to resolve the multi-class imbalance problem in Internet traffic classification and it has achieved considerable results. But the classification performance on the minority classes with a few bytes is still unhopeful because the existing research only focuses on the classes with a large amount of bytes. Therefore, the class-dependent misclassification cost is studied. Firstly, the flow rate based cost matrix （FCM） is investigated. Secondly, a new cost matrix named weighted cost matrix （WCM） is proposed, which calculates a reasonable weight for each cost of FCM by regarding the data imbalance degree and classification accuracy of each class. It is able to further improve the classification performance on the difficult minority class （the class with more flows but worse classification accuracy）. Experimental results on twelve real traffic datasets show that FCM and WCM obtain more than 92% flow g-mean and 80% byte g-mean on average; on the test set collected one year later, WCM outperforms FCM in terms of stability.

Visitors abroad come on an inbound tourism (IT) trip. Travelling beyond one’s usual surroundingsfor no more than a year in one go, or no less than tourist culture is considered inboundtourism. A network called adaptive neural networks (ANN) is used in dynamic tourism situations.Many methods are used to make neural networks flexible: weight adjustment, changes in neuronalcharacteristics, and changes in the network’s structural composition. One of the biggestproblems is that cultural clashes lead to many different places, which strain the transportationsystem. IT-ANN tools and technologies are discussed in this study, including the possibilities ofvisitor time and space-relationship data. As a result, inbound tourism doesn’t have to rely onweekend domestic travel because individuals who go on holiday overseas tend to return yearafter year. Finally, the neural network is equipped with a prediction model of travellers’ spatialand temporal distribution.

Aiming to evaluate the reliability of phase-transition degrading systems,a generalized stochastic degradation model with phase transition is constructed,and the corresponding analytical reliability function is formulated under the concept of the first hitting time.The phase-varying stochastic property and the phase-varying nonlinearity are considered simultaneously in the proposed model.To capture the phase-varying stochastic pro-perty,a Wiener process is adopted to model the non-monotonous degradation phase,while a Gamma process is utilized to model the monotonous one.In addition,the phase-varying non-linearity is captured by different transformed time scale functions.To facilitate the practical application of the proposed model,identification of phase model type and estimation of model parameters are discussed,and the initial guesses for parameters optimization are also given.Based on the constructed model,two simulation studies are carried out to verify the analytical reliability function and analyze the influence of model misspecification.Finally,a practical case study is conducted for illustration.

基于Fluent采用大涡模拟(LES)方法,对亚临界雷诺数Re=3900条件下错列布置三圆柱体结构群三维绕流问题进行了数值研究。为验证数值方法的正确性,选取单圆柱体工况来进行相关参数的验证,发现结果吻合较好。随后,重点分析了间距比(L/D)此关键参数对错列布置三圆柱体结构群流致特性的影响。相关结果表明:在小间距比范围内(1.5≤L/D≤2.0),中下游圆柱的平均阻力系数显著小于单圆柱工况结果;当间距比为3.0工况下,上游圆柱的时均压力系数分布与其他间距比工况结果存在较大差异性;小间距比工况下(L/D=1.5),柱体群尾流区存在显著的偏斜流态;三圆柱系统的边界涡通量分布特性表明,顺流向涡主要从中游圆柱表面产生,随后进入流场中并发生变形与拉伸。

The present work reports a Hybrid Modular Floating Structure(HMFS)system with typical malfunction conditions.The effects of both fractured mooring lines and failed connectors on main hydrodynamic responses(mooring line tensions,module motions,connector loads and wave power production)of the HMFS system under typical sea con-ditions are comparatively investigated.The results indicate that the mooring tension distribution,certain module motions(surge,sway and yaw)and connector loads(Mz)are significantly influenced by mooring line fractures.The adjacent mooring line of the fractured line on the upstream side suffers the largest tension among the remaining mooring lines,and the case with two fractured mooring lines in the same group on the upstream side is the most dangerous among all cases of two-line failures in view of mooring line tensions,module motions and connector loads.There-fore,one emergency strategy with appropriate relaxation of a proper mooring line has been proposed and proved effective to reduce the risk of more progressive mooring line fractures.In addition,connector failures substantially affect certain module motions(heave and pitch),certain connector loads(Fz and My)and wave power production.The present work can be helpful and instructive for studies on malfunction conditions of modular floating structure(MFS)systems.

Silicate melts are very active in the interior of the Earth and other terrestrial planets, and are important carriers for the transport of material and energy. The determination of the equation of state(EOS) for silicate melts and the acquisition of a precise quantitative relationship between molar volume(or density) and temperature, pressure, and composition is essential for simulating the generation, migration, and eruption processes of magmas and the evolution of the magma ocean stage during the early formation of the Earth and other terrestrial planets, for calculating and modeling the phase equilibria involving silicate melts, and for revealing the variation of the microstructure of silicate melts with pressure. However, it is experimentally challenging to determine the volumetric properties of silicate melts and the accumulated density data at high pressure are still very limited due to a series of problems such as: the high liquidus temperature of silicate rocks; proneness for silicate melts to react with sample capsules to change the melt composition; and proneness for melts to flow and leak during the high pressure and high temperature experiments. In recent years, there is rapid progress in the high pressure and high temperature experimental techniques, in terms of not only the extension of temperature and pressure ranges but also the improvement on the accuracy of measurements, and the emergence of new methods for in-situ measurements. Here, we review the widely-used theoretical models of ambient-pressure and high-pressure EOS for silicate melts, and illustrate some problems that need to be solved urgently:(1) the room pressure EOS for iron-and titanium-bearing silicate melts needs to be improved;(2) the partial molar properties of the H2 O and CO2 components in silicate melts containing volatile components may vary markedly with the melt composition, which need to be addressed in high-pressure EOS;(3) how the formulation and applicable range of EOS correspond to changes in melt structure and compressi
