A Preliminary Review of Metallogenic Regularity of Tin Deposits in China

China is rich in tin resources,and contains many types of tin *** the tin deposit types,the cassiterite-sulfide type,skarn type and quartz vein type occupy a large proportion of tin resources and *** the aspect of exploitation and utilization,the most important types are cassiterite-sulfide type and quartz vein *** cassiterite-sulfide type tin deposits are mainly located in Northern Guangxi and Eastern Yunnan,skarn type deposits are mainly distributed in the ore-concentration areas of South Hunan in Middle Nanling,and the quartz vein type tin deposits are mainly distributed in South China,such as Western Fujian,Middle Jiangxi,Northern Guangzhou and Southern *** most important metallogenic epoch for tin deposits is the Mesozoic *** metallogenic geotectonic background is mainly continental environments after orogeny process,with strong tectonic changes,interlaced deep fracture and frequent *** the most distinctive feature is the well developed Mesozoic granites,which have a close relationship with tin *** on the detailed study of the data from 873 tin deposits in China,this paper summarized the metallogenic regularity of tin deposits,classified 20 important metallogenic series of tin or tin-associated deposits,and inferred that the cassiterite-sulfide type,skarn type,quartz vein type and greisen type are the main prediction types of tin ***-four tin-mineralization belts were divided,among which,19 belts are the most *** addition,a series of maps about tin metallogenic belts and tin metallogenic regularity were compiled,aiming to provide theoretical basis for potential estimation and prediction of tin mineral resources.

The effect of integrative crop management on root growth and methane emission of paddy rice

In previous studies, integrative crop management (ICM) improved shoot growth and grain yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.). However, little is known about the effect of ICM on root growth and methane (CH4) emission of paddy rice. In this study, two rice varieties, Wuyunjing 24 and Yongyou 2640, were grown. A field experiment was conducted with three crop management treatments including zero nitrogen fertilization (0N), local farmer practice (LFP), and ICM. Root morphophysiological traits and CH4 emission from the paddy field were investigated. ICM significantly increased mean grain yield by 29.9%, with the effect attributed mainly to an increase in mean total number of spikelets by 26.4% compared to LFP. ICM increased root and shoot biomass, root length, number of roots, root oxidation activity (ROA), root bleeding rate, and root total and active absorbing surface area by respectively 24.4%, 25.7%, 17.1%, 9.3%, 18.7%, 29.5%, 12.1%, and 24.7%. The concentrations of malic, succinic, and acetic acids in root exudates were respectively 5.8%, 6.0%, and 10.5% higher in ICM than in LFP. Compared to LFP, ICM significantly decreased the rate of CH4 emission during emission peak stages and reduced total CH4 emission by 17.1%. The root morphophysiological traits were positively and significantly correlated with grain yield, whereas root length, specific root length, ROA, and root total and active absorbing surface area were negatively and significantly correlated with total CH4 emission. These results suggest that ICM could achieve the dual goals of increasing grain yield and reducing the greenhouse gas effect by improving the root morphology and physiological traits of paddy rice.

Ringlike failure experiment of thick-walled limestone cylinder specimens in triaxial unloading tests

In order to study the failure of surrounding rock under high in situ stress in deep underground engineering projects, disturbed by excavation unloading, we carried out triaxial unloading experiments using thickwalled cylinder specimens on a TATW-2000 rock servo-controlled triaxial testing machine in a laboratory. The specimens were made of limestone material, taken from Tongshan county, Xuzhou city, Jiangsu province, China. In our experiments, rock deformation and failure behavior was studied through loading and unloading of inner hole pressure of thick-walled cylinder specimens. At first, the axial stress, confining pressure and inner pressure were increased simultaneously to a specified designed state of stress. Then, keeping the axial stress and confining pressure stable, the pressure on the inner hole was decreased until the specimen was fractured. When the inner pressure was released completely but the specimen did not fracture, the confining pressure was decreased subsequently until complete failure occurred. Our experimental results suggest that traces of major circular ringlike fractures with a number of radial cracks often appear in thick cylinder walls. This type of ringlike failure phenomenon, similar to intermittent zonal fracturing characteristics of deep exploitation, has, so far, not been published. Our experimental results show that rock deformation and failure behavior of thick-walled limestone cylinders vary under different stress paths between loading and unloading. Tensile failure and orderly failure surfaces occur under unloading conditions while irregular damaged rock blocks are produced during loading failure. This type of triaxial unloading experiment provides for new research methodology and approach for thorough investigations on intermittent zonal fracturing in deep underground excavations.

Biomolecule-assisted Solvothermal Synthesis of Bismuth Sulfide Nanorods

A simple biomolecule-assisted synthetic route has been successfully developed to prepare bismuth sulfide（Bi 2 S 3 ） nanorods under solvothermal *** the synthetic system,pentahydrate bismuth nitrate was employed to supply Bi source and L-cystine was used as sulfide source and complexing *** morphology,structure,and phase composition of the as-prepared Bi 2 S 3 products were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,energy dispersion spectroscopy（EDS）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）,field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM）,transmission electron microscopy（TEM）,selected area electron diffraction（SAED）,and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy（HRTEM）.The experimental results show that the nanorods have uniform diameter of 100-200 nm and length of 2-4 μ*** possible formation mechanism for the bismuth sulfide nanorods was discussed.

Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is the leading cause of death in the world,with a high incidence and a youth-oriented *** modification is ubiquitous and indispensable in cell,maintaining cell homeostasis and function by dynamically regulating gene *** evidence has revealed the role of aberrant gene expression in CVD caused by dysregulated RNA *** this review,we focus on nine common RNA modifications:N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),N^(1)-methyladenosine(m^(1)A),5-methylcytosine(m^(5)C),N^(7)-methylguanosine(m^(7)G),N^(4)-acetylcytosine(ac^(4)C),pseudouridine(Ψ),uridylation,adenosine-to-inosine(A-to-I)RNA editing,and modifications of U34 on tRNA *** summarize the key regulators of RNA modification and their effects on gene expression,such as RNA splicing,maturation,transport,stability,and ***,based on the classification of CVD,the mechanisms by which the disease occurs and progresses through RNA modifications are *** therapeutic strategies,such as gene therapy,are reviewed based on these ***,some of the CVD(such as stroke and peripheral vascular disease)are not included due to the limited availability of ***,the prospective applications and challenges of RNA modification in CVD are discussed for the purpose of facilitating clinical ***,we look forward to more studies exploring the mechanisms and roles of RNA modification in CVD in the future,as there are substantial uncultivated areas to be explored.

Root morphology and physiology influence aboveground growth and yield formation in ***,root morphological and physiological differences among rice varieties with differing nitrogen(N)sensitivities and their relationship with grain yield are still *** this study,rice varieties differing in N sensitivity over many years of experiments were used.A field experiment with multiple N rates(0,90,180,270,and 360 kg ha^(-1))was conducted to elucidate the effects of N application on root morphology,root physiology,and grain yield.A pot experiment with root excision and exogenous application of 6-benzyladenine(6-BA)at heading stage was used to further verify the above *** findings revealed that(1)under the same N application rate,N-insensitive varieties(NIV)had relatively large root biomass(root dry weight,length,and number).Grain yield was associated with root biomass in *** oxidation activity and zeatin(Z)+zeatin riboside(ZR)contents in roots obviously and positively correlated with grain yield in N-sensitive varieties(NSV),and accounted for its higher grain yield than that of NIV at lower N application rates(90 and 180 kg ha^(-1)).(2)The root dry weight required for equal grain yield of NIV was greater than that of *** of 1/10 and 1/8 of roots at heading stage had no discernible effect on the yield of Liangyoupeijiu(NIV),and it significantly reduced yield by 11.5%and 21.3%in Tianyouhuazhan(NSV),respectively,compared to the treatment without root *** decrease of filled kernels and grain weight after root excision was the primary cause for the yield *** excision and exogenous 6-BA application after root excision had little influence on the root activity of *** oxidation activity and Z+ZR contents in roots of NSV decreased under root excision,and the increase in the proportion of excised roots aggravated these *** application of exogenous 6-BA increased the root activity of NSV and increased filled kernels and

The thermal evolution of the Earth’s interior and its dynamic effects are the focus of Earth ***,the commonly adopted grid-based temperature solver is usually prone to numerical oscillations,especially in the presence of sharp thermal gradients,such as when modeling subducting slabs and rising *** phenomenon prohibits the correct representation of thermal evolution and may cause incorrect implications of geodynamic *** examining several approaches for removing these numerical oscillations,we show that the Lagrangian method provides an ideal way to solve this *** this study,we propose a particle-in-cell method as a strategy for improving the solution to the energy equation and demonstrate its effectiveness in both one-dimensional and three-dimensional thermal problems,as well as in a global spherical simulation with data *** have implemented this method in the open-source finite-element code CitcomS,which features a spherical coordinate system,distributed memory parallel computing,and data assimilation algorithms.

Self-Assembled Silane Film and Silver Nanoparticles Coating on Magnesium Alloys for Corrosion Resistance and Antibacterial Applications

Contamination resulting from microbial adhesion on magnesium alloys is very common in many applications. Self-assembly technology was employed to prepare an antibacterial composite coating by fixing silver nanoparticles （AgNPs） onto the surface of magnesium alloys. The AgNPs were immobilized on the surface of 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane （APTMS）-modified magnesium alloy AZ31 （APTMS/Mg） through electrosta- tic inter-attraction between partially protonated amino groups and negatively charged citrate-capped AgNPs, resulting in the AgNPs attached APTMS/Mg （AgNPs/APTMS/Mg） substrate. The prepared Ag colloid and functionalized AZ31 alloy were characterized by ultraviolet-visible （UV-vis） spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, and electrochemical methods. Finally, the bactericidal activity of AgNPs/APTMS/Mg substrate against Escherichia coli was assessed by the inhibition zone. The results demonstrated that Si-O-Si covalent bonds existed on the substrate with the formation of inorganic Si-O-Mg bonds. AgNPs were immobilized and well-dispersed, forming a uniform submonolayer on the silane film in two dimensions. The AgNPs/APTMS-pretreated AZ31 alloys exhibited better corrosion resistance and excellent antibacterial performance.
