The thermal evolution of the Earth’s interior and its dynamic effects are the focus of Earth ***,the commonly adopted grid-based temperature solver is usually prone to numerical oscillations,especially in the presence of sharp thermal gradients,such as when modeling subducting slabs and rising *** phenomenon prohibits the correct representation of thermal evolution and may cause incorrect implications of geodynamic *** examining several approaches for removing these numerical oscillations,we show that the Lagrangian method provides an ideal way to solve this *** this study,we propose a particle-in-cell method as a strategy for improving the solution to the energy equation and demonstrate its effectiveness in both one-dimensional and three-dimensional thermal problems,as well as in a global spherical simulation with data *** have implemented this method in the open-source finite-element code CitcomS,which features a spherical coordinate system,distributed memory parallel computing,and data assimilation algorithms.

Energy dissipation mechanism and ballistic characteristic optimization in foam sandwich panels against spherical projectile impact

This study systematically examines the energy dissipation mechanisms and ballistic characteristics of foam sandwich panels(FSP)under high-velocity impact using the explicit non-linear finite element *** on the geometric topology of the FSP system,three FSP configurations with the same areal density are derived,namely multi-layer,gradient core and asymmetric face sheet,and three key structural parameters are identified:core thickness(t_(c)),face sheet thickness(t_(f))and overlap face/core number(n_(o)).The ballistic performance of the FSP system is comprehensively evaluated in terms of the ballistic limit velocity(BLV),deformation modes,energy dissipation mechanism,and specific penetration energy(SPE).The results show that the FSP system exhibits a significant configuration dependence,whose ballistic performance ranking is:asymmetric face sheet>gradient core>*** mass distribution of the top and bottom face sheets plays a critical role in the ballistic resistance of the FSP *** BLV and SPE increase with tf,while the raising tcor noleads to an increase in BLV but a decrease in ***,a face-core synchronous enhancement mechanism is discovered by the energy dissipation analysis,based on which the ballistic optimization procedure is also conducted and a design chart is *** study shed light on the anti-penetration mechanism of the FSP system and might provide a theoretical basis for its engineering application.

脑卒中(简称“卒中”)已成为全球第二大死亡与残疾原因,给个人、家庭和社会造成沉重的负担。脑细胞的损伤和死亡是影响卒中患者神经功能、预后及生存质量的关键因素。炎症反应是卒中发生发展中的关键病理环节。研究表明,细胞焦亡放大了炎症反应,加重了卒中后病理及神经功能损害。细胞焦亡作为一种新型促炎性程序性细胞死亡方式,在卒中病程中扮演着重要的角色。抑制细胞焦亡可调节脑细胞损伤和死亡的进程,起到神经保护性作用。中药防治卒中具有多通路、多靶点及不良反应较少等独特优势,且疗效显著。中药调控细胞焦亡的机制研究是该领域的新热点。依据国内外相关研究,从细胞焦亡概述、作用机制、信号通路、在卒中治疗中的应用及基于细胞焦亡的中药研究等方面进行了整理与总结,为进一步提升中药干预卒中的疗效提供新思路。

Improving creep strength of the fine-grained heat-affected zone of novel 9Cr martensitic heat-resistant steel via modified thermo-mechanical treatment

The infamous type Ⅳ failure within the fine-grained heat-affected zone (FGHAZ) in G115 steel weldments seriously threatens the safe operation of ultra-supercritical (USC) power *** this work,the traditional thermo-mechanical treatment was modified via the replacement of hot-rolling with cold rolling,i.e.,normalizing,cold rolling,and tempering (NCT),which was developed to improve the creep strength of the FGHAZ in G115 steel *** NCT treatment effectively promoted the dissolution of preformed M_(23)C_(6)particles and relieved the boundary segregation of C and Cr during welding thermal cycling,which accelerated the dispersed reprecipitation of M_(23)C_(6) particles within the fresh reaustenitized grains during post-weld heat *** addition,the precipitation of Cu-rich phases and MX particles was promoted evidently due to the deformation-induced *** a result,the interacting actions between precipitates,dislocations,and boundaries during creep were reinforced *** this strategy,the creep rupture life of the FGHAZ in G115 steel weldments can be prolonged by 18.6%,which can further push the application of G115 steel in USC power plants.

Oxidation of Cr(Ⅲ) on birnessite surfaces: The effect of goethite and kaolinite

Oxidation of Cr（Ⅲ） by manganese oxides may pose a potential threat to environments due to the formation of toxic Cr（Ⅵ） species. At present, it was still unclear whether the extent of Cr（Ⅲ） oxidation and fate of Cr（Ⅵ） would be changed when manganese oxides co-exist with other minerals, the case commonly occurring in soils. This study investigated the influence of goethite and kaolinite on Cr（Ⅲ） oxidation by birnessite under acidic p H condition（p H 3.5）and background electrolyte of 0.01 mol/L Na Cl. Goethite was found not to affect Cr（Ⅲ）oxidation, which was interpreted as the result of overwhelming adsorption of cationic Cr（Ⅲ） onto the negatively-charged birnessite（point of zero charge（PZC）〈 3.0） rather than the positively-charged goethite（PZC = 8.8）. However, more Cr（Ⅵ） would be retained by the surface with the increase in addition of goethite because of its strong ability on adsorption of Cr（Ⅵ） at low p H. Moreover, either Cr（Ⅲ） oxidation or distribution of the generated Cr（Ⅵ）between the solid and solution phases was not affected by kaolinite（PZC 〈 3.0）, indicating its low affinity for Cr species. Reactions occurring in the present mixed systems were suggested, which could be partly representative of those in the soils and further indicates that the mobility and risk of Cr（Ⅵ） would be decreased if goethite was present.

Guaranteed cost control for saturated uncertain linear systems

In this paper, we discuss the problem of guaranteed cost control for uncertain linear systems subject to actuator saturation. Based on the quadratic and non-quadratic Lyapunov functions, sufficient conditions for the robust stability and performance are derived. Moreover, all the conditions can be expressed as linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） or bilinear matrix inequalities （BMIs） in terms of the feedback gain. Thus, the static controller can be effectively synthesized via convex optimization. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method.

CsRAXs negatively regulate leaf size and fruiting ability through auxin glycosylation in cucumber

Distributed Virtual Inertia Based Control of Multiple Photovoltaic Systems in Autonomous Microgrid

The large inertia of a traditional power system slows down system's frequency response but also allows decent time for controlling the *** an autonomous renewable microgrid usually has much smaller inertia,the control system must be very fast and accurate to fight against the small inertia and *** reduce the demanding requirements on control,this paper proposes to increase the inertia of photovoltaic(PV) system through inertia *** inertia emulation is realized by controlling the charging/discharging of the direct current(DC)-link capacitor over a certain range and adjusting the PV generation when it is feasible and/or *** well designing the inertia,the DC-link capacitor parameters and the control range,the negative impact of inertia emulation on energy efficiency can be *** proposed algorithm can be integrated with distributed generation setting algorithms to improve dynamic performance and lower implementation *** studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
