Researchers have recently achieved significant advances in deep learning techniques, which in turn has substantially advanced other research disciplines, such as natural language processing, image processing, speech recognition, and software engineering. Various deep learning techniques have been successfully employed to facilitate software engineering tasks, including code generation, software refactoring, and fault localization. Many studies have also been presented in top conferences and journals, demonstrating the applications of deep learning techniques in resolving various software engineering tasks. However,although several surveys have provided overall pictures of the application of deep learning techniques in software engineering,they focus more on learning techniques, that is, what kind of deep learning techniques are employed and how deep models are trained or fine-tuned for software engineering tasks. We still lack surveys explaining the advances of subareas in software engineering driven by deep learning techniques, as well as challenges and opportunities in each subarea. To this end, in this study, we present the first task-oriented survey on deep learning-based software engineering. It covers twelve major software engineering subareas significantly impacted by deep learning techniques. Such subareas spread out through the whole lifecycle of software development and maintenance, including requirements engineering, software development, testing, maintenance, and developer collaboration. As we believe that deep learning may provide an opportunity to revolutionize the whole discipline of software engineering, providing one survey covering as many subareas as possible in software engineering can help future research push forward the frontier of deep learning-based software engineering more systematically. NHC-mediated photocatalytic para-selective C–H acylation of aryl alcohols: regioselectivity control via remote radical spiro cyclization

Friedel-Crafts reaction and transition-metal catalysis represent primary methodologies for arene acylation; however, suffer from certain limitations, such as electronic effect-dependent reactivity, regioselectivity issues, the necessity of directing group, and relatively exceptionally limited exploration in meta-and para-acylations. N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC) catalysis has recently emerged as a promising alternative strategy for arene acylation, offering distinct regioselectivity profiles that are challenging to achieve through known methods. Herein, an NHC-mediated photo-catalytic para-selective C–H acylation of aryl alcohols is disclosed. The reaction employs a remote radical-induced temporary spiro cyclization strategy, proceeding via tandem radical dearomatization, radical acylation, rearomatization processes. Combined experimental and computational mechanistic studies support the proposed reaction pathway and observe an exclusive para-selectivity regardless of the nature of the substituents on the substrates. Despite the less satisfactory yields, the current method exhibits non-electronic nature-based reactivity and regioselectivity, enabling quick access to acylated arenes that are difficult or impossible for reported methods.

Shape optimization design of a heaving buoy of wave energy converter based on fully parametric modeling and CFD method

Highly ordered graphene architectures by duplicating melamine sponges as a three-dimensional deformation- tolerant electrode

In this study, macroscopic graphene-wrapped melamine foams （MF-G） were fabricated by an MF-templated layer-by-layer （LBL） assembly using graphene oxide as building blocks, followed by solution-processed reduction. By concisely duplicating sponge-like, highly ordered three-dimensional architectures from MF, the resulting MF-G with an interconnected graphene-based scaffold and tunable nanostructure was explored as compressible, robust electrodes for efficient energy storage. A thin layer of pseudocapacitive polypyrrole （PPy） was then attached and uniformly coated on MF-G, resulting in a well-defined core- double-shell configuration of the MF-G-PPy ternary composite sponges. The as-assembled devices exhibited enhancement of supercapacitor performance, with a high specific capacitance of 427 F·g-1 under a compressive strain of 75% and an excellent cycling stability with only 18% degradation after 5,000 charge- discharge cycles. Besides, the MF-G-PPy electrode maintained stable capacitance up to 100 compression-release cycles, with a compressive strain of 75%. These encouraging results thus provide a new route towards the low-cost, easily scalable fabrication of lightweight and deformation-tolerant electrodes.

Experimental Research on A New Type of Floating Breakwater for Wave-Absorbing and Energy-Capturing

To avoid the damage caused by big wind and wave in cage culture, and to solve the problem of energy supply faced by automatic breeding equipment, a new type of floating breakwater, named as Savonius double buoy breakwater(SDBB), is proposed in the paper. The floating breakwater is composed of HDPE cylindrical double buoys and horizontal axis Savonius rotors, and has the functions of wave-absorbing and energy-capturing. Based on the linear wave theory and energy conservation law, the Fourier Transform was applied to separate the two-dimensional wave frequency domain, and the energy captured by the rotors and absorbed by the floating breakwater were *** were conducted in a two-dimensional wave-making flume, and the transmitted waves at different wave heights and periods, the tension of mooring lines, and the rotational torque exerted on the Savonius rotor were measured. A series of performance comparison tests were also performed on the new floating breakwater and the traditional double-floating breakwater. Results show that the new floating breakwater is better than the traditional one in terms of reducing wave transmittance, and the combination of the floating breakwater with Savonius rotors can provide for marine aquaculture equipments with green power supply to a certain degree of self-sufficiency.

Electrocatalytic water splitting offers a promising way for hydrogen production with near-zero ***,such as molybdenum carbides(Mo_(2)C),are promising materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)but still suffer from poor intrinsic water activation ***,we developed a plasmon-induced local electric field(PILEF)strategy to solve this ***(Ag)nanoparticles decorated Mo_(2)C nanosheets(Ag/Mo_(2)C)were successfully prepared by electrostatic *** visible light excited the PILEF on Ag/Mo_(2)C remarkably reducing the activation energy by 92.7 kJ·mol^(-1)from 147.3 kJ·mol^(-1)of Mo_(2)C to 54.6 kJ·mol^(-1).As a result,the plasmonic Ag/Mo_(2)C significantly enhances~2.3-fold of the current density from 2.8 mA·cm^(-2)of Mo_(2)C to 6.5 mA·cm^(-2)at-3 V *** and reduces the overpotential by 104 mV from 403 mV of dark state to 299 mV of light state at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),achieving better performance than reported *** research demonstrates that PILEF enhances HER activities,offering a potential strategy for boosting the intrinsic activities of catalysts.
