Electrocatalytic cleavage of a lignin β-O-4 model compound and coupling with nitrogen-containing aromatics using prussian blue analogue-derived nickel–cobalt spinel

Electrochemical conversion of lignin for the production of high-value heterocyclic aromatic compounds has great *** demonstrate the targeted synthesis and cation modulation of NiCo2O4spinel nanoboxes,synthesized via cation exchange and calcination *** catalysts exhibit excellent efficacy in the electrocatalytic conversion of lignin model compounds,specifically 2-phenoxy-1-phenylethanol,into nitrogen-containing aromatics,achieving high conversion rates and *** catalysts were synthesized via a cation exchange and calcination oxidation process,using prussian blue nanocubes as *** porous architecture and polymetallic composition of the NiCo2O4spinel demonstrated superior performance in electrocatalytic oxidative coupling,achieving a 99.2 wt%conversion rate of the 2-phenoxy-1-phenylethanol with selectivities of 37.5 wt%for quinoline derivatives and 31.5 wt%for *** innovations include the development of a sustainable one-pot synthesis method for quinoline derivatives,the elucidation of a multistage reaction pathway involving CAO bond cleavage,hydroxyaldol condensation,and CAN bond formation,and a deeper mechanistic understanding derived from DFT *** work establishes a new strategy for lignin valorization,offering a sustainable route to produce high-value nitrogen-containing aromatics from renewable biomass under mild conditions,without the need for additional reagents.

Secondary Silicates as a Barrier to Carbon Capture and Storage in Deccan Basalt

Investigating the immobilization of CO2,previous basalt-water-CO2 interaction studies revealed the formation of carbonates over a short period,but with the extensive formation of secondary silicates(SS).The mechanisms involved in these processes remain unresolved,so the present study was undertaken to understand secondary mineral formation *** and Rietveld refinement data for neo-formed minerals show a drastic decrease in the Ca-O bond length,with the calcite structure degenerating after 80 h(hours).However,SEM images and EDS data revealed that a longer interaction time resulted in the formation of chlorite and smectite,adjacent to basalt grains which prevent basaltwater-CO2 interaction to form carbonates,thus restricting carbonate *** a result of this,the CO2 mineralization rate is initially high(till 80 h),but it later reduces *** is evident that,for such temperature-controlled transformations,low temperature is conducive to minimizing SS surface coating at the time of mineral carbonation.

Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-Cop2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-Cop2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-Cop2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.

Co-production of hydrogen, oxygen, and electricity via an integrated solar-driven system with decoupled water electrolyzer and Na-Zn ion battery

Combining water electrolysis and rechargeable battery technologies into a single system holds great promise for the co-production of hydrogen （H2） and ***,the design and development of such systems is still in its ***,an integrated hydrogen-oxygen （O2）-electricity co-production system featuring a bipolar membrane-assisted decoupled electrolyzer and a Na-Zn ion battery was established with sodium nickelhexacyanoferrate （NaNiHCF） and Zn2+/Zn as dual redox *** decoupled electrolyzer enables to produce H2and O2in different time and space with almost 100%Faradaic efficiency at 100 mA ***,the charged NaNiHCF and Zn electrodes after the electrolysis processes formed a Na-Zn ion battery,which can generate electricity with an average cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 m A *** connecting Si photovoltaics with the modular electrochemical device,a well-matched solar driven system was built to convert the intermittent solar energy into hydrogen and electric energy with a solar to hydrogen-electricity efficiency of 16.7%,demonstrating the flexible storage and conversion of renewables.

Clinical observation of white eye distribution in patients with hyperlipidemia: an artificial intelligence digital visual examination technique

Objective: To explore the clinical observation of white eye distribution characteristics of hyperlipidemic patients based on artificial intelligence digital eye diagnosis technology. Methods: One hundred and fifty subjects were examined in the outpatient and inpatient departments of Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 01 February 2022 to 01 February 2023， including 80 cases in the hyperlipidemic patient (HLp) group and 70 cases in the normal lipid level patient (NC) group. The two groups were collected and extracted by the artificial intelligence visual diagnostic instrument and analyzed by the MyEyeD-10 white eye shadowless imaging health intelligence analysis system. Finally， SpSS 26.0 (Version X; IBM Corp.， Armonk， NY， USA) was used for statistical processing. Results: Significant differences were noted in the scores of "spot" and "foggy" features between the two groups. Between groups， the "spot" feature score of the white eye morphology in the HLp group (11.07 ± 3.22) was higher than that in the NC group (7.50 ± 4.11) (p phology in the HLp group (8.37 ± 2.25) was higher than that in the NC group (p p (5.72 ± 1.21) (p pleen)， and "M" (liver) eye-contact region scores between the two groups， and the "B"， "O" (spleen) and "M" (liver) eye-contact region scores were significantly different. The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IpSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CspbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CspbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （pCE） of NiOxbased inverted IpSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CspbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISpR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.
