STUDY ON THE SYNTHESIS AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF SUCROSE POLYESTER

Orthogonal test was used to evaluate the effects of synthetic such as temperature (120～140 ℃), reaction time (4-6) and substrate molar ratio of methyl oleate to sucrose (8:1-12:1) on the percent quantity conversion to sucrose polyester. Sucrose polyester was synthesized by a solvent-free one-stage interesterification. The optimum reaction conditions are as follows: methyl oleate/sucrose = 10∶1 (mol/mol);reaction temperature is 140 ℃;yield reaches 88.15%, and the degree of esterification (DE) is over 7 in the conditions. Thin layer chromatography (TLC), column chromatography (CC), High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were used to analyze the product, the results show that the percent of sucrose polyoleate is over 70% in the product. The physicochemical properties of sucrose polyesters were compared with cooking oil. The results show that the qualities of sucrose polyesters are all up to the triglyceride.

Previous studies have shown that proliferation of endogenous neural precursor cells cannot alone compensate for the damage to neurons and axons. From the perspective of neural plastici- ty, we observed the effects of functional electrical stimulation treatment on endogenous neural precursor cell proliferation and expression of basic fibroblast growth factor and epidermal growth factor in the rat brain on the infarct side. Functional electrical stimulation was performed in rat models of acute middle cerebral artery occlusion. Simultaneously, we set up a placebo stimulation group and a sham-operated group. Immunohistochemical staining showed that, at 7 and 14 days, compared with the placebo group, the numbers of nestin （a neural precursor cell marker）-positive cells in the subgranular zone and subventricular zone were increased in the functional electrical stimulation treatment group. Western blot assays and reverse-transcription PCR showed that total protein levels and gene expression of epidermal growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factor were also upregulated on the infarct side. Prehensile traction test results showed that, at 14 days, prehension function of rats in the functional electrical stimulation group was significantly better than in the placebo group. These results suggest that functional electrical stimulation can promote endogenous neural precursor cell proliferation in the brains of acute cerebral infarction rats, enhance expression of basic fibroblast growth factor and epidermal growth factor, and improve the motor function of rats.

BACKGROUND: Ankle brachial index (ABI) is widely involved in researches and clinical application of peripheral vascular injury of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM); however, the application in cerebral infarction (CI) is rare. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the possible risk factor of cerebral infarction plus peripheral arterial disease (PAD), compare metabolic characteristics of patients who having CI plus PAD or only having CI, and understand the significance of ABI on screening and diagnosing CI plus PAD of lower limb. DESIGN: Contrast observation based on CI patients. SETTING: Department of Neurology, Nanxishan Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 124 CI patients were selected from Department of Neurology, Nanxishan Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from July 2005 to April 2006, including 72 males and 52 females aged from 45 to 88 years. All patients met the diagnostic criteria of cerebrovascular disease established by National Academic Conference of Cerebrovascular Diseases in 1995 and determined as cerebral infarction with MRI or CT examination. All patients provided informed consent. There were 46 cases (37.2%) with CI plus PAD and 78 cases (62.8%) only with CI. METHODS: Blood pressure of bilateral ankles and upper extremities was measured at plain clinostatism with DINAMAP blood pressure monitor (GE Company). The ratio between average systolic pressure of lateral ankle and average systolic pressure of both upper extremities was regarded as ABI. The normal ABI was equal to or more than 0.9. If ABI < 0.9 occurred at one side, patients were diagnosed as PAD. On the second morning after hospitalization, blood was collected to measure fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (PBG2h), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). Copy number variations(CNVs)range in size from 50 base pairs(bp)to several megabases(Mb)and encompass various types of structural variations,such as insertions,deletions,duplications,and complex multiallelic events(MacDonald et al.,2014).These genomic alterations modulate phenotype by altering gene dosage and transcriptional regulation,and are key drivers of biological evolution and determinants of genetic diversity and phenotypic variation.In recent years,CNVs have been detected in the genomes of various livestock species(Yuan et al.,2021;Chen et al.,2022).Upadhyay et al.(2017)conducted a comprehensive analysis of CNV distribution in the European cattle genome and determined that the Kit gene is associated with color-sidedness in English longhorn cattle.Another study presented extensive genome-wide information on CNVs in wild,commercial,and local chicken breeds to gain an integrated understanding of the domestication process and exclusively identified the genes involved(Chen et al.,2022).

＜正＞ In this paper, a new method for recognizing the start and the end of each word in a Chinese continuous sentence is discussed. We define a new recognition character called Periodic Gradual Change （PGC）. A continuous speech sentence can be separated into many single words with a combined new method of PGC and other characters such as Zero Crossing Rate （ZCR）, instantaneous swing（E character） and Linear Predictive Coding（LPC） parameter. By new method the recognition rate for continuous speech segment is improved.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)stands among the top prevalent cancers worldwide and holds a prominent position as a major contributor to cancer-related mortality globally.Absent in melanoma 2(AIM2),a constituent of the interferoninducible hematopoietic interferon-inducible nuclear antigens with 200 amino acid repeats protein family,contributes to both cancer progression and inflammasome activation.Despite this understanding,the precise biological functions and molecular mechanisms governed by AIM2 in CRC remain elusive.Consequently,this study endeavors to assess AIM2’s expression levels,explore its potential antitumor effects,elucidate associated cancer-related processes,and decipher the underlying signaling pathways in CRC.Our findings showed a reduced AIM2 expression in most CRC cell lines.Elevation of AIM2 levels suppressed CRC cell proliferation and migration,altered cell cycle by inhibiting G1/S transition,and induced cell apoptosis.Further research uncovered the participation of P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(P38MAPK)in AIM2-mediated modulation of CRC cell apoptosis and proliferation.Altogether,our achievements distinctly underscored AIM2’s antitumor role in CRC.AIM2 overexpression inhibited proliferation and migration and induced apoptosis of CRC cells via activating P38MAPK signaling pathway,indicating AIM2 as a prospective and novel therapeutic target for CRC.

近断层脉冲型地震动通常会引发结构严重破坏甚至倒塌,但目前的设计方法仅通过修正设计谱来考虑近断层效应,并不能考虑结构的倒塌储备。为此,在使用近断层设计谱的基础上提出考虑倒塌储备的结构抗震设计方法。基于近断层设计谱和远场设计谱共设计了12个钢筋混凝土(RC)框架结构,分别采用20条近断层脉冲型地震动和远场非脉冲型地震动研究了RC框架结构的倒塌易损性,对比分析了近断层、远场区域结构的倒塌储备系数,发现近断层区域结构的倒塌储备系数小于远场区域结构。为实现近断层、远场区域结构倒塌储备等效,首先给出了以基本周期为变量的结构50%倒塌概率对应的谱加速度的预测公式,然后推导了结构倒塌储备等效方程,并结合设计谱进行数值求解,最后给出了倒塌储备等效条件下以远场区域结构基本周期为变量的近断层区域结构基本周期设计建议公式。结果表明,按照近断层设计谱进行抗震设计能够明显减小结构的倒塌概率,但大部分近断层区域结构的倒塌储备系数仍小于远场区域结构,且平均差别可达20%,综合使用该预测公式和近断层设计谱可以实现近断层、远场区域结构倒塌储备等效.
