Integrated simulation and monitoring to analyze failure mechanism of the anti-dip layered slope with soft and hard rock interbedding

The significant difference between the mechanical properties of soft rock and hard rock results in the complexity of the failure mode of the anti-dip layered slope with soft and hard rock *** order to reveal the landslide mechanism,taking the north slope of Fushun West Open-pit Mine as an example,this paper analyzed the failure mechanism of different landslides with monitoring and field surveys,and simulated the evolution of *** study indicated that when the green mudstone(hard rock)of the anti-dip slope contains siltized intercalations(soft rock),the existence of weak layers not only aggravates the toppling deformation of anti-dip layered slope with high dip,but also causes the shear failure of anti-dip layered slope with stable low *** shear failure including subsidence induced sliding and wedge failure mainly exists in the unloading zone of the *** failure depth and failure time were far less than that of toppling *** terms of the development characteristics of deformation,toppling deformation has the long-term and progressive characteristics,but shear failure deformation has the abrupt and transient *** study has deepened the understanding of such slope landslide mechanism,and can provide reference for similar engineering.

Constraint-based flux analysis has been widely used in metabolic engineering to predict genetic optimization strategies. These methods seek to find genetic manipulations that maximally couple the desired metabolites with the cellular growth objective. However, such framework does not work well for overproducing chemicals that are not closely correlated with biomass, for example non-native biochemical production by introducing synthetic pathways into heterologous host cells. Here, we present a computational method called OP-Synthetic, which can identify effective manipulations （upregulation, downregulation and deletion of reactions） and produce a step-by-step optimization strategy for the overproduction of indigenous and non-native chemicals. We compared OP-Synthetic with several state-of-the-art computational approaches on the problems of succinate overproduction and N- acetylneuraminic acid synthetic pathway optimization in Escherichia coli. OP-Synthetic showed its advantage for efficiently handling multiple steps optimization problems on genome wide metabolic networks. And more importantly, the optimization strategies predicted by OP-Synthetic have a better match with existing engineered strains, especially for the engineering of synthetic metabolic pathways for non-native chemical production. In this paper, the positional error curve of point features was extended to an error curves band of line segment features. Firstly, the constitution and shape of the error curves band were analyzed. On this basis, the general boundary curve formula of that band was derived. Secondly, the visualizing error curves bands were realized through three exam- ples. Finally,area index has been examined by comparing numerical results from error curves band and error ellipes band.

Geometrical parameters of discontinuities,such as spacing,length,dip and fault throw between joints have a great influence on the mechanical behavior of jointed rock *** characterization for discontinuities is important for investigate the stability of rock *** this paper,the PFC2D is combined with joint network generation method to examine the mechanical behaviors of jointed *** Miaogou Open-pit Mine as an example,the information and statistical distributions of discontinuities of the slope rock masses are measured by ShapeMetriX3D measuring ***,the automatic generation algorithm of random joints network based on the Monte-Carlo method is proposed using the programming language(FISH)embedded within *** algorithm could represent the discontinuities compared with the geological *** simulating the compression test of a jointed rock sample,the mechanical behavior and crack propagation were *** results reveal that the failure mode and crack propagation of the jointed rock are dominated by the distribution of joints in addition to the intact rock *** simulation result shows the feasibility of the joints generating method in application to jointed rock mass.

The double [3 + 2] cycloaddition of allenoates with nitrile oxides is presented. The reaction worked well under mild reaction conditions to give the spirobidihydroisoxazole in moderate to excellent yields with excellent diastereoselectivities. The two dihydroisoxazole rings have been formed via a sequential double [3 + 2] cycloaddition.

Constructed wetlands(CWs)have been introduced to and developed in China for environmental engineering over the most prosperous three decades(1990–2020).To study the origin,development process,and future trend of CWs,this review summarized a wide range of literatures between 1990 and 2020 by Chinese ***,the publication number over years,research highlights,and the author contributions with the most published papers in this field were conducted through bibliometric ***,the most principal components of CWs,substrates and macrophytes were summarized and ***,the typical application cases from traditional CWs,pond systems to combined pond-wetland systems were *** China,CWs were predominately distributed in the east of the so-called'Hu Huanyong Line'.Therefore CWs were limited by the socio-economic level and climatic *** is unquestionable that the overall level of China's CWs has improved significantly,and one of the most prominent features has started towards the plural pattern *** has been a trend of large-scale or low-cost CW application in the recent ***,lifecycle research and management are required for better strategies in the future.

In order to effectively detect potential geology anomalous bodies in coal bearing formation,such as coal seam thickness variation,small faults,goafs and collapse columns,and provide scientific guidance for safe and efficient mining,the SUMMIT-II EX explosion-proof seismic slot wave instrument,produced by German DMT Company,was used to detect the underground channel wave with the help of transmission method,reflection method and transflective *** area detection experiment in mining face had been carried out thanks to the advantage of channel wave,such as its great dispersion,abundant geology information,strong anti-interference ability and long-distance *** experimental results showed that:(1)Coal seam thickness variation in extremely unstable coal seam has been quantitatively interpreted with an accuracy of more than 80%generally;(2)The faults,goafs and collapse columns could be detected and predicted accurately;(3)Experimental detection of gas enrichment areas,stress concentration regions and water inrush risk zone has been collated;(4)A research system of disaster-causing geology anomalous body detection by in-seam seismic survey has been built,valuable and innovative achievements have been *** of innovation obtained for the first time in this study indicated that it was more effective to detect disaster-causing potential geology anomalies by in-seam seismic survey than by ground seismic *** had significant scientific value and application prospect under complex coal seam conditions.

Chifeng is a concentrated mining area for non-ferrous metal minerals,as well as a key prevention and control area for heavyduty *** situation necessitates an efective ecological and human health risk assessment of heavy metal(loid)s driven by the wide distribution of metal ore processing,mining,and smelting factories in Hexigten Banner and Bairin Left *** conducted surveys to assess the levels of heavy metal(loid)s(Cr,As,Pb,Cd,and Hg)in the topsoil and groundwater of the *** results indicated that the concentrations of As,Cd,and Pb in partial soil samples exceeded the environmental quality standards of Grade *** on contamination assessments,such as geoaccumulation indices and pollution indices,we inferred that Cd,Pb,and As were primary pollutants in *** ecological risks when considered as part of the average risk indices(RI)are up to 1626.40 and 2818.76,respectively,in the two *** analysis revealed that Cd posed a very high potential ecological risk,followed by ***,the evaluation showed that the three exposure pathways of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk followed a descending order:inhalation>ingestion>dermal contact,except for *** in topsoil posed a potential non-carcinogenic risk to human health,while there were no adverse efects of As in *** addition,the average total carcinogenic risk for As in the two areas,as well as the risk of Pb in the topsoil of Bairin Left Banner and all the fve heavy metal(loid)s in groundwater,exceeded human ***–Zn mines caused higher human health *** addition,the tandem contamination of heavy metal(loid)s in soil and groundwater was not *** research study provides a basis for pollution remediation to control heavy industry-induced ecological and health risks of heavy metal(loid)s.

In recent years, the anisotropic study has become a hot topic in the field of electromagnetics. Currently, inversion technologies of transient electromagnetic sounding data are mainly based on the case of an isotropic medium. However, the actual underground electrical structure tends to be complicated and anisotropic. It is often found that the isotropic inversion technologies do not lead to good results for field transient electromagnetic sounding data. We have developed an algorithm for calculating the transient electromagnetic response in a layered medium with azimuthal anisotropy. An occam inversion algorithm has also been implemented to invert the transient electromagnetic data induced by a grounded horizontal electric dipole in a layered medium with azimuthal anisotropy. Synthetic examples demonstrate the stability and validity of the inversion algorithm. Experimental results show different data for inverting have great influence on the inversion results.
