Symmetry of upper eyelid after unilateral blepharoptosis repair with minimally invasive conjoint fascial sheath suspension technique

AIM:To investigate the symmetry of upper eyelid in patients with unilateral mild and moderate blepharoptosis who underwent unilateral minimally invasive combined fascia sheath(CFS)***:A retrospective study of patients who underwent unilateral minimally invasive CFS suspension surgery between January 2018 and December *** criteria included unilateral mild and moderate ptosis,good levator muscle function(>9 mm)and follow-up of at least ***-and post-operative symmetry was graded subjectively for marginal reflex distance 1(MRD1),tarsal platform show(TPS)and eyebrow fat span(BFS).A t-test was used to evaluate MRD1,TPS and BFS asymmetry by calculating delta *** Bézier curve tool of the Image J software was used to extract the upper eyelid contours,where the symmetry was measured by the percentage of overlapping curvatures(POC).RESULTS:Totally 105 patients(105 eyelids)were included(mild group,n=84;moderate group,n=21).Postoperatively,all patients increased MRD1 and decreased TPS in the ptotic eye while maintaining unchanged *** asymmetric delta value for MRD1 was measured to be 1.48±0.86 preoperatively,and it decreased to 0.58±0.67 postoperatively in all cases(P=0.0004).In patients with mild ptosis,the asymmetry value of TPS fell significantly from 1.15±0.62 to 0.68±0.38(P=0.0187).The symmetry of the upper eyelid contour increased in all subgroups of patients,with a POC of 59.39%±13.45%preoperatively and POC of 78.29%±13.80%***:Minimally invasive CFS suspension is proved to be an effective means of improving the symmetry of unilateral ptosis in terms of MRD1(all subgroups),POC(all subgroups)and TPS(only mild group),whereas BFS is unaffected.

A Dual-Task Learning Approach for Bearing Anomaly Detection and State Evaluation of Safe Region

Predictive maintenance has emerged as an effective tool for curbing maintenance costs,yet prevailing research predominantly concentrates on the abnormal *** the ostensibly stable healthy phase,the reliance on anomaly detection to preempt equipment malfunctions faces the challenge of sudden anomaly *** address this challenge,this paper proposes a dual-task learning approach for bearing anomaly detection and state evaluation of safe *** proposed method transforms the execution of the two tasks into an optimization issue of the hypersphere *** leveraging the monotonicity and distinguishability pertinent to the tasks as the foundation for optimization,it reconstructs the SVDD model to ensure equilibrium in the model’s performance across the two *** experiments verify the proposed method’s effectiveness,which is interpreted from the perspectives of parameter adjustment and enveloping *** the meantime,experimental results also show two deficiencies in anomaly detection accuracy and state evaluation *** theoretical analysis inspires us to focus on feature extraction and data collection to achieve *** proposed method lays the foundation for realizing predictive maintenance in a healthy stage by improving condition awareness in safe regions.

Polymethoxyflavones(PMFs)are a type of uncommon dietary flavonoids,characterized by more than one methoxy group,which exist in limited plant species,like Citrus species and Kaempferia *** addition,different PMFs,such as nobiletin,sinensetin,tangeretin,and casticin,have been isolated from these natural *** have received increasing attention due to their multiple bioactivities,such as antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer,metabolic regulatory,immunoregulatory,neuroprotective,and skin protective *** bioactivities of PMFs should be associated with the regulation of critical molecular targets and the interaction with gut *** order to provide a comprehensive and updated review of PMFs,their natural sources,refined extraction,biosynthesis,metabolism,and bioactivities are summarised and discussed,with the emphasis on the molecular mechanisms of PMFs on regulating different chronic ***,PMFs may be promising flavonoids to the forefront of nutraceuticals for the prevention and/or treatment of certain human chronic diseases.

Synergistic Coupling of Sulfide Electrolyte and Integrated 3D FeS2 Electrode Toward Long-Cycling All-Solid-State Lithium Batteries

FeS2cathode is promising for all-solid-state lithium batteries due to its ultra-high capacity, low cost, and environmental friendliness. However, the poor performances, induced by limited electrode-electrolyte interface, severe volume expansion, and polysulfide shuttle, hinder the application of FeS2in all-solidstate lithium batteries. Herein, an integrated 3D FeS2electrode with full infiltration of Li6PS5Cl sulfide electrolytes is designed to address these *** a 3D integrated design not only achieves intimate and maximized interfacial contact between electrode and sulfide electrolytes, but also effectively buffers the inner volume change of FeS2and completely eliminates the polysulfide shuttle through direct solid–solid conversion of Li2S/S. Besides, the vertical 3D arrays guarantee direct electron transport channels and horizontally shortened ion diffusion paths, endowing the integrated electrode with a remarkably reduced interfacial impedance and enhanced reaction *** from these synergies, the integrated all-solid-state lithium battery exhibits the largest reversible capacity (667mAh g-1), best rate performance,and highest capacity retention of 82%over 500 cycles at 0.1 C compared to both a liquid battery and non-integrated all-solid-state lithium battery. The cycling performance is among the best reported for FeS2-based all-solid-state lithium batteries. This work presents an innovative synergistic strategy for designing long-cycling high-energy all-solid-state lithium batteries, which can be readily applied to other battery systems, such as lithium-sulfur batteries.

One dimensional CeO_(2) nanorods/poly(ethylene oxide) solid composite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries

The research of poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based solid composite electrolyte with high ionic conductivity and excellent interfacial stability is the key to the development of all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries(ASSLIBs). Herein, uniform nanorod structured CeO_(2) fillers were controllably synthesized by electrospinning, which were subsequently filled into PEO polymer to prepare CeO_(2)/PEO solid composite electrolyte. The addition of CeO_(2) nanorods can reduce both the glass transition temperature and the melting point of PEO polymer, and also interact with PEO and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulphonyl)imide(LITFSI) by Lewis acid—base reaction. Therefore, the solid composite electrolyte exhibits a high ionic conductivity of 4.52 × 10^(-4)S/cm, a wide electrochemical stability window of about 4.8 V, and a good interfacial stability with Li at 55℃. Moreover, the LiFePO_4/Li ASSLIB divulges the discharging specific capacity of 165, 162, 156 and 146 mA,h/g at 0.2, 0.5, 1 and 2 C, respectively, and achieves the capacity retention of 90.3% after 150 cycles at 0.5 C. Consequently, one dimensional CeO_(2) nanorods can be considered as an alternative filler for polymeric solid electrolyte.

Mannanase improves the growth performance of broilers by alleviating inflammation of the intestinal epithelium and improving intestinal microbiota

This experiment aimed to discuss and reveal the effect and mechanism of mannanase on intestinal inflammation in broilers triggered by a soybean meal diet. In this experiment, 384 Arbor Acres broilers at1 d old were randomly divided into 3 treatment groups. The broilers were fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet, a low-energy diet(metabolizable energy reduced by 50 kcal/kg), and a low-energy diet supplemented with 100 mg/kg mannanase for 42 d. The low-energy diet increased feed conversion ratio from0 to 42 d, reduced ileal villus height and villus height-to-crypt depth ratio and upregulated the expression of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) in the ileum(P lium of broilers(P < 0.05). In addition, mannanase upregulated the expression of claudin-1(CLDN1) and zonula occludens-1(ZO-1) in the jejunum at 21 d,downregulated the expression of ileal NF-κB, and increased the content of isobutyric acid in the cecum of broilers(P < 0.05). The results for the ileal microbiota showed that a low-energy diet led to a decrease in the relative abundance of Lactobacillus reuteri in the ileum of broilers. The addition of mannanase increased the relative abundance of Lactobacillus-KC45b and Lactobacillus johnsonii in broilers. Furthermore, a low-energy diet reduced the relative abundance of Butyricicoccus in the intestine of broilers and inhibited oxidative phosphorylation and phosphoinositol metabolism. Mannanase increased the relative abundance of Odoribacter, promoted energy metabolism and N-glycan biosynthesis, and increased the activities of GH3 and GH18. The sluggish kinetics behaviors and vast volume variations of Na+hosts to FeS2anode involved intercalation,and conversion reactions plague its applicability of sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.Here,a significantly expedited kinetics via cation intercalation and considerably relieved stress accumulation by constructing the concave scaffold protector are approached for *** Mn2+intercalation into FeS2,a new stable Mn–FeS2was generated with distorted coordination;elevated antibonding orbital occupancy and lowed d band center to the release of more free Na+were achieved,which was further encapsulated by hollow bowl-like carbon spheres （BC）This cation intercalation and concave morphology strategies confer Mn–FeS2@BC significantly enhanced electron ion transport kinetics via reversed electron transfer to FeS2fast desolvation kinetics,and evidently depressed structural deformation during Na+insertion and ***,Mn–FeS2@BC delivers the longevity and stable Na+storage capacity in both half and full cell ***,Mn–FeS2@BC also displays excellen adaptability in a wider temperature *** work proposes new views into the deep regulation of electrochemical performance of transition metal anodes via intercalation chemistry and concave engineering.
