Objective The aim of this study was to determine if isoflavone genistien has protective effects against high glucose-induced cell apoptosis in human aortic endlthelial cells, and investigate the possible mechanism for this protection. Methods Human aortic endothelial cells subjected to normal (5mmol/L) or high glucose (25mmol/L) were treated with genistein at 0, 50, 100nmol/L. Parallel experiments were performed with 100nM 17b-estradiol, and also in the presence and absence of the pure anti-estrogen ICI-182,780 (100nmol/L). The effects on cell apoptotic DNA fragmentation were determined using cell death ELISA, and the effects on cellular proliferation were determined using tritiated thymidine incorporation assay. Estrogen receptor expression was detected by Taqman quantitative PCR. Results Genistein at 100nmol/L significantly reduced high glucose-induced DNA fragmentation, and reversed cell DNA synthesis inhibition (P <0.001) after 24 hours' incubation. The effect of genistein was completely blocked by ICI-182,780 administration. Estrogen receptor beta, but not alpha was found to be expressed in these cells. Conclusion Isoflavone genistein shows protection against high glucose-induced cell damage through estrogen receptor beta, reducing apoptotic DNA damage and protecting from the inhibition of cell proliferation.

The electrical conductivity （EC） of 1：5 soil-water extract （EC1：5） was studied utilizing path coefficient analysis. The study focused on revealing the main chemical factors contributing to EC of soil extracts and their relative importance. Results showed that the most important factors influencing the EC1：5 of coastal salt-affected soils were the concentration of salt in 1：5 soil-water extract （So）, Cl^-, and the sodium adsorption ratio （SAR）, while effects of pH, CO3^2-, HCO3^, soluble sodium percentage （SSP）, and sodium dianion ratio （SDR） were very weak. Though the direct path coefficients between EC1：5 and SO4^2- , Ca^2＋, Mg^2＋, K^＋, or Na^＋ were not high, influence of other chemical factors caused the coefficients to increase, making the summation of their direct and indirect path coefficients relatively high. Evidences showed that multiple regression relations between EC1：5 and most of the primary factors （So, Cl^-, and SAR） had sound reliability and very good accuracy.

The exploration and utilization of lunar resources have become the major objectives of future lunar exploration missions. The classified collection and processing of lunar minerals is the basic prerequisite for the in-situ exploration and utilization of lunar resources. In this study, we propose a scheme for in-situ separation of magnetic minerals from lunar soils using the dry magnetic separation method. The scheme can realize the purpose of separating magnetic minerals from lunar regolith by altering the motion trajectory of lunar regolith particles with different magnetic properties. Detailed modeling of the dry magnetic separation device is conducted, and the three-dimensional distribution of magnetic parameters is calculated and analyzed. Based on the characterization and analysis of the Chang E-5's samples, the morphologies and physical parameters of lunar regolith particles are modeled and simulated. A discrete element simulation of the motion process of lunar regolith particles under multi-physical field conditions is performed, and the influences of key parameters on the beneficiation performance of lunar magnetic minerals are investigated. Our results indicate that optimal separation and beneficiation of lunar regolith particles can be achieved under specific conditions of magnetic field strength and drum speed. Additionally, we analyze the effects of lunar weak gravity conditions and the charged nature of lunar particles on the beneficiation process, showing that these factors can obviously enhance the beneficiation process of lunar ilmenites. This study demonstrates the feasibility of using the dry magnetic separation method for the beneficiation of magnetic minerals from lunar regolith, providing a theoretical basis for the scientific tasks of collecting, processing, and utilizing lunar mineral resources.

A low phase noise millimeter-wave(MMW) signal generator is proposed and experimentally demonstrated with a C-band passively Fabry-Pérot(F-P) quantum dot mode-locked laser. A novel method is proposed to generate low phase noise MMW signal, which is simply based on a commercial off-the-shelf dual-driven Li Nb O3 Mach-Zehnder modulator and a passively F-P quantum dot mode-locked laser. MMW signal with the frequency of 30 GHz, 45 GHz and 90 GHz respectively is obtained experimentally. Single-sideband phase noise of the 30 GHz and 45 GHz MMW signal is-112 d Bc/Hz and-106 d Bc/Hz at an offset of 1 k Hz, respectively. The linewidth of the 30 GHz and 45 GHz MMW signal is about from 225 Hz and 239 Hz. This is considered a very simple MMW generator with a quasi-tunable broadband and ultra-low phase noise.

AIM: Proinfiammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6 play a main role in acute pancreatitis (AP). Cytokine biosynthesis runs through two major signaling pathways at the level of proteins: nuclear transcription factor-κB (NF-κB) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK). The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of NF-κB and p38 MAPK in activated monocytes/macrophages on cytokines of rats with acute ***: Taurocholate (3 % and 5 %) at doses of 1 mL/kg was administered into the biliopancreatic duct of male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats to reduce acute edematous pancreariris (AEP) and acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP).Pancreatic tissues were prepared immediately after *** this point, blood was obtained for determination of serum amylase and pro-inflammatory TNF-α and IL-6. Activated monocytes/macrophages were captured from blood and so were ascites. NF-κB and p38 MAPK in activated monocytes/macrophages were measured by immunohistochemistry method. Pancreatic tissue samples were prepared for routine light microscopy, using hematoxylin and eosin (HE) ***: The serum levels of amylase were 3 056.00±1 232.35 IU/L and 4 865.12±890.34 IU/L at 3 and 6 hours in ANP group, which were significantly higher than those (3 056.00±1 232.35 TU/L and 3 187.17±821.16 IU/L) (P<0.05,respectively) in AEP group. In ascites the levels were 3.32±1.01 g and 3.76±1.12 g at 3 and 6 hours in ANP group,which were significantly higher than those (1.43±1.02 g and 2.56±1.21 g) (P<0.05, respectively) in AEP group. The serum levels of TNF-α were 54.27±23.48 pg/ml and 67.83±22.02 pg/ml in AEP group and 64.28±20.79 pg/ml and 106.59±43.71 pg/ml in ANP group, and the serum levels of IL-6 were 428.12±140.30 pg/ml and 420.13±139.40 pg/ml in AEP group and 1 600.32±309.78 pg/ml and 2 203.76±640.85 pg/ml in ANP group, which were far significantly higher than those in sham group (P<0.001, respectively). The Kulun region is located in the eastern Bainaimiao arc belt on the southeastern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB), adjacent to the North China Craton(NCC) to the south. This region records the closure of the PaleoAsian Ocean during the Paleozoic to early Mesozoic and is key to study the tectonic evolution of the northern margin of the *** conducted zircon U-Pb geochronology and Hf isotope analysis of volcanic-sedimentary and intrusive rocks in the Kulun region. The volcanic-sedimentary rocks were previously assigned an early Carboniferous age, but include volcanic rocks with ages of 267–266 Ma and sedimentary rocks with youngest detrital zircon age peaks of 265–244 Ma, which were intruded by a granite with an age of 242 Ma. This indicates that these rocks are actually middle Permian to Middle Triassic in age(267–242Ma) and correspond to the Qingfengshan and liujiagou formations. Moreover, two volcanic rock samples have high εHf(t) values(+1.6 to +16.1) and relatively young two-stage Hf model ages(1095–327 Ma), indicating their sources associated with the CAOB. The age spectra and Hf isotopic characteristics of detrital zircons from the sedimentary rocks suggest that, during the middle Permian to Middle Triassic, the sedimentary provenance in the Kulun region was mainly the CAOB. However, by the Early Jurassic, the provenance changed to the NCC(i.e., the Inner Mongolia Paleo-uplift, IMPU). This result, combined with the development of a series of conglomerates on the northern margin of the NCC in the Late Triassic(i.e., Xingshikou, Xiaoyingzi,and Xiaohekou formations), indicates the Kulun region experienced an abrupt change in paleogeography during the Late Triassic, with the IMPU undergoing significant uplift and thus becoming the main sediment source in the Kulun region. Based on the Late Triassic alkaline igneous belt(235–215 Ma) in the IMPU, we speculate that this uplift was caused by detachment of the southward-subducting Paleo-Asian oceanic

A fluorescent competitive assay for melamine was first developed utilizing dummy molecularly imprinted polymers（DMIPs） as artificial antibodies. This method is based on the competition between fluorescent substances and the unlabeled analyte for binding sites in synthesized DMIPs and the decreased binding of fluorescent substances to DMIPs due to increased concentrations of melamine in the solutions. DMIPs for melamine were synthesized under a hot water bath in the presence of the initiator azobisisobutyronitrile（AIBN） using 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine（DAMT） as a dummy template, methacrylic acid（MAA） as a functional monomer, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate（EGDMA） as a crosslinking agent. The adsorption capacity and selectivity of DMIPs for melamine were evaluated by the isothermal adsorption curve and Scatchard analysis. The evaluation results showed that the synthesized DMIPs had specific recognition sites for melamine and the maximum adsorption amount was 1 066.33 μg g^（-1）. Later, 5-（4,6-d ichlorotriazinyl） amino fluorescein（DTAF） with a triazine ring, which s lightly resembles m elamine, w as selected as the fluorescent substance. The fluorescent competitive assay using DMIPs as t he antibody mimics was finally established by selecting and optimizing the reaction solvents, DMIPs amount, DTAF concentration, and incubation time. The optimal detection system showed a linear response w ithin range of 0.05-40 mg L^（-1） and the limit of detection（LOD） was 1.23 μg L^（-1）. It was successfully applied to the detection of melamine in spiked milk samples wi th satisfactory recoveries（71.9 to 86.3%）. According to the comparative analysis, the result of optimized fluorescent competitive assay re vealed excellent agreement with the HPLC-MS/MS result for melamine.

为了研究公共交通服务质量的变化对居民出行方式选择行为的影响,利用非集计分析和统计分析的方法,采集中山市在2009年和2015年的居民出行调查数据,形成混合截面数据并建立多项Logit(MNL)模型,分别分析各个时间影响居民出行方式选择行为的影响因素,并结合模型结果与统计分析数据分析居民出行方式选择行为变化以及公共交通服务质量的改变所产生的影响。研究结果表明:相比于2009年,2015年该区域的居民出行行为发生了较大改变,摩托车和自行车出行比例下降,公共汽车和小汽车出行比例上升;在此期间等候公交车时间取代了步行至公交车站的时间成为了影响居民出行方式选择的主要因素;该区域居民步行至公交车站的时间逐渐降低,而居民等候公交车的时间持续提升;公交服务质量的演变影响出行方式选择行为,而较差的公交服务质量指标显著影响出行方式选择行为;原本服务质量较好的指标在恶化的过程中会成为影响出行方式选择行为的主要因素;原本服务质量较差的指标,在改善变好的过程中不再成为出行方式选择行为的主要影响因素。

BACKGROUND:p130Cas(p130Crk-associated substance) is a junction protein that is important to the adhesion between cytoskeleton and extracellular *** the adhesion molecules E-cadherin andβ-catenin play important roles in the invasiveness of *** study was undertaken to investigate the effects of p130Cas E-cadherin andβ-catenin on the invasion,metastasis and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS:Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the expression of p130Cas,E-cadherin,andβ-catenin in 40 patients with *** patients were followed up postoperatively,and the relationship between expression and clinicopathological prognostic parameters was analyzed RESULTS:The positive expression rates of p130Cas and E-cadherin in HCC tissue(n=40)were 62.50%and 55.00% but in normal liver tissue 10%,and 100%,respectively (P<0.05).The abnormal expression rate ofβ-catenin in HCC tissue was 70%,while in normal liver tissue it was 13.33%(P<0.05).The positive rate of p130Cas was correlated with lymph node invasion,pathological stage TNM stage,and a worse prognosis,but not with gender age,HBV infection,hepatic cirrhosis,alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)level before operation,and tumor diameter Similarly,the expression of E-cadherin andβ-catenin was correlated with lymph node invasion,pathological stage,TNM stage,and worse prognosis,but not with gender,age,HBV infection,hepatic cirrhosis,AFP level before operation,and tumor *** were found between p130Cas and abnormal E-cadherin/β-catenin expression(P<0.001 and<0.05,respectively).CONCLUSIONS:In HCC,there is a negative correlation between the positive expression of p130Cas and the normal expression of the adhesion molecules E-cadherin/β-catenin, and p130Cas plays important roles in the invasion, metastasis and prognosis of HCC.p130Cas may be involved in alterating the structure and function of E-cadherin/ β-catenin,by regulating tyrosine phosphorylation via the p130Cas-Src signal pathway.
