Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

A series of cadmium-calcium hydroxyapatite solid solutions was prepared by an aqueous precipitation method. By various means, the characterizations confirmed the formation of continuous solid solutions over all ranges of Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio. In the results, both lattice parameters a and c display slight deviations from Vegard’s rule when the Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio is greater than 0.6. The particles change from smaller acicular to larger hexagonal columnar crystals as the Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio increases from 0-0.60 to 0.60-1.00. The area of the phosphate peak for symmetric P-O stretching decreases with the increase in Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio, and the peak disappears when the Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio is greater than 0.6; the two phosphate peaks of P-O stretching gradually merge together for the Cd/（Cd＋Ca） atomic ratio near 0.60. These variations can be explained by a slight tendency of larger Cd ions to occupy M（2） sites and smaller Ca ions to prefer M（1） sites in the structure.

The microstructures and mechanical properties of Ti–47 at%Ni–3 at%Fe shape memory alloy wire under the condition of severe cold-drawing at room temperature and different postdeformation annealing processes were intensively investigated using transmission electron microscope(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Vickers microhardness tester and electron tensile *** is indicated that the structure of the alloy evolves into a predominant amorphous structure with a trace of nanocrystalline B2 phase after the cold-drawing of 76%areal *** annealing process exerted significant influence on the microstructure and mechanical *** occurs when the cold-drawn wire was annealed at 300℃ for 30 *** ultimate tensile strength and ductility as well as the superelasticity of the wire are improved significantly by cold-drawing plus postdeformation annealing.

Influence of Si Content on Properties of Ti1-xSixN Coatings

To investigate the evolution of microstructure and wear behavior of TiSiN coatings with the variation of Si in targets and lays the foundation for its controllable mass production, Ti1-xSixN composite coatings were deposited onto Si(100) and cemented carbide substrates using TiSi targets with different Si content by cathodic arc ion plating. The influences of Si on the microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. Nano-amorphous composite structure appeared in the Ti1-xSixN coatings when Si content in TiSi target was higher than 5 at%. However, further increase of Si content in TiSi target exhibited a negligible effect on the microstructure of Ti1-xSixN coatings. Hardness and deformation resistance were correlated to the content of Si in TiSi targets. Maximum hardness was obtained as the Si content in target increased up to 20 at%. Friction coefficient and wear rate significantly decreased with addition of Si in TiN coating, and then dually increased with the increase of Si content in targets.
