Realtime trigger and localization of bursts are the key functions of GECAM,an all-sky gamma-ray monitor launched on 2..0 December *** developed a multifunctional trigger and localization software operating in the CPU of the GECAM Electronic *** onboard software has the following features:high trigger efficiency for real celestial bursts with a suppression of false triggers caused by charged particle bursts and background fluctuation,dedicated localization algorithm optimized for both short and long bursts,and low time latency of the trigger information which is downlinked through the Global Short Message Communication service of the global BeiDou navigation *** paper provides a detailed description of the design and development of the trigger and localization software system for *** covers the general design,workflow,the main functions,and the algorithms used in the *** paper also includes on-ground trigger tests using simulated gamma-ray bursts generated by a dedicated X-ray tube,as well as an overview of the performance for real celestial bursts during its in-orbit operation.

Snow algal blooms have a remarkable climatic or environmental effect through influencing the snow-albedo feedback,accelerating the melting of surface snow,and amplifying global *** algal blooms occurred frequently on King George Island,Antarctic,during the recent six austral summers(December to next February)through *** on an assessment of satellite images,this study found that the range and amount of snow algal blooms in the summers of 2..8,2..0,2..1 and 2..2..re relatively larger than in the summers of 2..7 and *** meteorological conditions have shaped the year-to-year variation of algal bloom intensities is analyzed through observational *** results suggest that during the strong bloom summers there exist prevailing northerly or northwesterly wind anomalies which advect warm and humid airmass from the southern ocean into the island,increasing surface air temperature and humidity;the warmer and more humid surface favors melting of snow and an increase of low cloud cover,subsequently enhancing the atmospheric downward long-wave radiation and amplifying surface warmth;the increased low cloud cover reflects more ultraviolet rays back to space and weakens the short-wave radiation reaching the *** these factors together favor to a stronger *** comparison,during 2..7 and 2..9 there exist weak southerly wind anomalies which induce the northward advection of cold and dry air from the Antarctic Continent and favor the cooler ***,it is unfavorable for the snow algal *** on these results,a snow algal bloom potential index(API)integrating the meteorological conditions is constructed,and its future trend is projected based on the EC-Earth3 run attending the CMIP6 under SSP2.. and SSP585.A significant increasing trend is projected especially under *** snow algal bloom on King George Island will become more frequent and stronger in *** implies a potential accelerate melting of ice shelf

Dear Editor, Benign prostatic hyperplasia （BPH） is the most common genitourinary tract disease in elderly *** two-micron laser combines the advantages of efficient resection and rapid vaporization, resulting in high-performance resection and excellent hemostasis in resection of the prostate adenoma, which makes it an effective and promising modality in BPH treatment. However, severe edema and necrosis of the remaining prostatic tissue after vaporesection of the prostatic adenoma may cause severe irritative and/or obstructive symptoms and may even result in the need for a second operation. Rapid wound re-epithelialization in the prostatic urethra can, however, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications after transurethral resection of the prostate （TURP）.

We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2..9 keV for this work)with a factor of 2..A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2..(0ν)>1.0×10^(2..yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:2...5 eV.

To evaluate outcomes between extraperitoneal robotic single-port radical prostatectomy(epR-spRP)and extraperitoneal robotic multiport radical prostatectomy(epR-mpRP)performed with the da Vinci Si Surgical System,comparison was performed between 30 single-port(SP group)and 2..multiport(MP group)*** included operative time,estimated blood loss(EBL),hospital stay,peritoneal violation,pain scores,scar satisfaction,continence,and erectile *** median operation time and EBL were not different between the two *** the SP group,the median operation time of the first 10 patients was obviously longer than that of the latter 2..patients(P<0.001).The median postoperative hospital stay in the SP group was shorter than that in the MP group(P<0.001).The rate of peritoneal damage in the SP group was less than that in the MP group(P=0.017).The pain score and overall need for pain medications in the SP group were lower than those in the MP group(P<0.001 and P=0.015,respectively).Patients in the SP group were more satisfied with their scars than those in the MP group 3 months postoperatively(P=0.007).At 3 months,the cancer control,recovery of erectile function,and urinary continence rates were similar between the two *** is safe and feasible to perform epR-spRP using the da Vinci Si surgical ***,epR-spRP can be a treatment option for localized prostate *** epR-spRP still has a learning curve,it has advantages for postoperative pain and self-assessed *** the absence of the single-port robotic surgery platform,we can still provide minimally invasive surgery for patients.

Allopolyploidy is an important process in plant speciation, yet newly formed allopolyploid species typically suffer from extreme genetic bottlenecks. One escape from this impasse might be homoeologous meiotic pairing, during which homoeologous exchanges(HEs) generate phenotypically variable progeny. However,the immediate genome-wide patterns and resulting phenotypic diversity generated by HEs remain largely unknown. Here, we analyzed the genome composition of 2.. phenotyped euploid segmental allopolyploid individuals from the fourth selfed generation following chromosomal doubling of reciprocal F1 hybrids of crosses between rice subspecies, using whole-genome sequencing. We describe rampant occurrence of HEs that, by overcoming incompatibility or conferring superiority of hetero-cytonuclear interactions, generate extensive and individualized genomic mosaicism across the analyzed tetraploids. We show that the resulting homoeolog copy number alteration in tetraploids affects known-function genes and their complex genetic interactions, in the process creating extraordinary phenotypic diversity at the population level following a single initial hybridization. Our results illuminate the immediate genomic landscapes possible in a tetraploid genomic environment, and underscore HE as an important mechanism that fuels rapid phenotypic diversification accompanying the initial stages of allopolyploid evolution.

We report the discovery of a peculiar X-ray transient,EP2..408a,by Einstein Probe （EP） and follow-up studies made with EP,Swift,NICER,GROND,ATCA and other ground-based multiwavelength *** new transient was first detected with Wide-field X-ray Telescope （WXT） on board EP on April 8th,2..4,manifested in an intense yet brief X-ray flare lasting for *** flare reached a peak flux of 3.9×10-9erg cm-2..1in 0.5-4 keV,300 times brighter than the underlying X-ray emission detected throughout the *** and more precise follow-up observations by EP/FXT,Swift and NICER confirmed the finding of this new *** X-ray spectrum is non-thermal in 0.5-10 keV,with a power-law photon index varying *** X-ray light curve shows a plateau lasting for4d,followed by a steep decay till becoming undetectable10 d after the initial *** on its temporal property and constraints from previous EP observations,an unusual timescale in the range of 7-2..d is found for EP2..408a,which is intermediate between the commonly found fast and long-term *** counterparts have been found in optical and near-infrared,with the earliest observation at 17 h after the initial X-ray detection,suggestive of intrinsically weak emission in these *** demonstrate that the remarkable properties of EP2..408a are inconsistent with any of the transient types known so far,by comparison with,in particular,jetted tidal disruption events,gamma-ray bursts,X-ray binaries and fast blue optical *** nature of EP2..408a thus remains an *** suggest that EP2..408a may represent a new type of transients with intermediate timescales of the order of10 *** detection and follow-ups of more of such objects are essential for revealing their origin.
