Environmental factors controlling soil warming and wetting during 2000-2020 in permafrost and non-permafrost regions across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)has experienced rapid environmental changes,including climate warming and wetting,since the *** environmental changes significantly impact the shallow soil hydrothermal conditions,which have key roles in land-atmosphere feedback and ecosystem ***,the spatial variations and responses of soil hydrothermal conditions to environmental changes over the QTP with permafrost(PF)and seasonal frost(SF)remain *** this study,we investigated the spatial variations in soil temperature(ST)and soil moisture(SM)changes over the QTP from 2000 to 2020 using 99 in-situ sites with observations at 4 depths(i.e.10,40,100 and 200 cm).The main environmental controlling factors were further identified using a calibrated statistical *** showed that significant(pming occurred at multiple soil layers during 2000-2020 with a wide variation(i.e.0.033-0.039℃ per year on average),whereas the warming rates at PF sites were two times greater than those at SF *** addition,the soil wetting rate was high over the SF region,whereas the soil wetting rate was low over the PF *** from air temperature,changes in thawing degree days and solar radiation(Srad)contributed most to soil warming in the PF region,whereas changes in rainfall,Srad and evaporation(EVA)have been identified as the key factors in the SF *** for soil wetting,changes in snowfall,freezing degree days and vegetation have noticeable nonlinear effects over the PF region,whereas changes in EVA,Srad and rainfall highlighted distinct linear and nonlinear effects in the SF *** findings enhance our understanding of the hydrothermal impacts of future environmental changes over the QTP.

Subnatural-linewidth fluorescent single photons

Subnatural-linewidth single photons are of vital importance in quantum optics and quantum information *** to previous research, it appears difficult to utilize resonance fluorescence to generate single photons with subnatural linewidth. Here we propose a universally applicable approach to generate fluorescent single photons with subnatural linewidth, which can be implemented based on Λ-shape and similar energy ***, the general condition to obtain fluorescent single photons with subnatural linewidth is *** single-photon linewidth can be easily manipulated over a broad range by external fields, which can be several orders of magnitude smaller than the natural linewidth. Our study can be easily implemented in various physical platforms with current experimental techniques and will significantly facilitate the research on the quantum nature of resonance fluorescence and the technologies in quantum information science.

Numerical simulations for radon migration and exhalation behavior during measuring radon exhalation rate with closed-loop method

Accurate measurements of the radon exhalation rate help identify and evaluate radon risk regions in the *** these measurement methods,the closed-loop method is frequently ***,traditional experiments are insufficient or cannot analyze the radon migration and exhalation patterns at the gas–solid interface in the accumulation *** CFD-based technique was applied to predict the radon concentration distribution in a limited space,allowing radon accumulation and exhalation inside the chamber intuitively and *** this study,three radon exhalation rates were defined,and two structural ventilation tubes were designed for the *** consistency of the simulated results with the variation in the radon exhalation rate in a previous experiment or analytical solution was *** effects of the vent tube structure and flow rate on the radon uniformity in the chamber;permeability,insertion depth,and flow rate on the radon exhalation rate and the effective diffusion coefficient on back-diffusion were *** on the results,increasing the inser-tion depth from 1 to 5 cm decreased the effective decay constant by 19.55%,whereas the curve-fitted radon exhalation rate decreased(lower than the initial value)as the deviation from the initial value increased by approximately 7%.Increasing the effective diffusion coefficient from 2.77×10^(-7) to 7.77×10^(-6) m^(2) s^(-1) made the deviation expand from 2.14 to 15.96%.The conclusion is that an increased insertion depth helps reduce leakage in the chamber,subject to notable back-diffusion,and that the closed-loop method is reasonably used for porous media with a low effective diffusion coefficient in view of the back-diffusion *** CFD-based simulation is expected to provide guidance for the optimization of the radon exhalation rate measurement method and,thus,the accurate measurement of the radon exhalation rate.

Brain Cognition Mechanism-Inspired Hierarchical Navigation Method for Mobile Robots

Autonomous navigation is a fundamental problem in *** methods generally build point cloud map or dense feature map in perceptual space;due to lack of cognition and memory formation mechanism,traditional methods exist poor robustness and low cognitive *** a new navigation technology that draws inspiration from mammal’s navigation,bionic navigation method can map perceptual information into cognitive space,and have strong autonomy and environment *** improve the robot’s autonomous navigation ability,this paper proposes a cognitive map-based hierarchical navigation ***,the mammals’navigation-related grid cells and head direction cells are modeled to provide the robots with location *** then a global path planning strategy based on cognitive map is proposed,which can anticipate one preferred global path to the target with high efficiency and short ***,a hierarchical motion controlling method is proposed,with which the target navigation can be divided into several sub-target navigation,and the mobile robot can reach to these sub-targets with high confidence ***,some experiments are implemented,the results show that the proposed path planning method can avoid passing through obstacles and obtain one preferred global path to the target with high efficiency,and the time cost does not increase extremely with the increase of experience nodes *** motion controlling results show that the mobile robot can arrive at the target successfully only depending on its self-motion information,which is an effective attempt and reflects strong bionic properties.

Study on Cold Wave Weather in Hexi Corridor from March 12 to 14 in 2011

[ Objectivel The aim was to study the cold wave in Hexi Corridor in 2011 and to summarize report experience. [ Method] Routine obser- vation data and Ecmwf numerical product were used to analyze the circulation background, causes and influential system of Hexi Corridor from March 12 to 14 in 2011. [Result] The cold wave in the mid-high latitude circulation in Northern hemisphere transited from radial type to warp type. High early basic temperature was the premise of cold wave. Drastic ground movement was the direct cause of cold wave. Prevailing cold advection was one primary cause of temperature reduction. Radiation in sunny days also posed certain influences on regional temperature. Factors weakened the gale were as follow, cold air largely in north area, cold air moving southeastward in diffusion, front passing early, upper and lower air conver- gence against the convection development and slow wind in high and lower air. [ Conclusion] The study provided important references for further enhancement of cold wave and gale report.

Evolution of High-energy Electron Distribution in Pulsar Wind Nebulae

In this paper,we analyze the spectral energy distributions of 17 powerful(with a spin-down luminosity greater than10~(35)erg s~(-1))young(with an age less than 15,000 yr)pulsar wind nebulae(PWNe)using a simple timein-dependent one-zone emission *** aim is to investigate correlations between model parameters and the ages of the corresponding PWNe,thereby revealing the evolution of high-energy electron distributions within *** findings are as follows:(1)The electron distributions in PWNe can be characterized by a double power-law with a super-exponential cutoff.(2)As PWNe evolve,the high-energy end of the electron distribution spectrum becomes harder with the index decreasing from approximately 3.5 to 2.5,while the low-energy end spectrum index remains constant near 1.5.(3)There is no apparent correlation between the break energy or cutoff energy and the age of PWNe.(4)The average magnetic field within PWNe decreases with age,leading to a positive correlation between the energy loss timescale of electrons at the break energy or the high-energy cutoff and the age of the PWN.(5)The total electron energy within PWNe remains constant near 2×10~(48)erg,while the total magnetic energy decreases with age.

太阳活动引起的地磁场剧烈变化称为磁暴。近年来随着中国西电东送长距离输电的发展,江苏、广东等地发现磁暴在电网中产生了较大幅度的地磁感应电流(GIC),有可能对电网的安全运行造成一系列的危害。中国幅员广阔,地理跨越高、中纬度区域,电网规模越来越大,电网结构与运行方式也日益呈现多样化,高压、大电网的安全与稳定问题日益突出。因此,有必要对磁暴对我国电网产生的影响进行研究。结合四川电网部分超高压电网结构,建立了电网等效模型,选取典型磁暴感应出的地面电场数值,利用MATlAB仿真软件估算了四川电网中部分500 kV变电站的GIC水平。计算结果表明,在电网的终点和拐角处容易诱发较大的GIC,其数值可达数十A。因此在强磁暴发生时,四川超高压电网的GIC水平较高,可能影响电网的安全稳定运行,须引起足够的重视。

Production logistics(PL)is considered as a critical factor that affects the efficiency and cost of production operations in discrete manufacturing *** effectively utilize manufacturing big data to improve PL efficiency and promote job shop floor economic benefits,this study proposes a PL trajectory analysis and optimization decision making method driven by a manufacturing task data chain(MTDC).First,the manufacturing task chain(MTC)is defined to characterize the discrete production process of a *** handle manufacturing big data,the MTC data paradigm is designed,and the MTDC is ***,the logistics trajectory model is presented,where the various types of logistics trajectories are extracted using the MTC as the search engine for the *** on this,a logistics efficiency evaluation indicator system is proposed to support the optimization decision making for the ***,a case study is applied to verify the proposed method,and the method determines the PL optimization decisions for PL efficiency without changing the layout and workshop equipment,which can assist managers in implementing the optimization decisions.

The goal of this paper is to deal with a new dynamic system called a differential evolution hemivariational inequality(DEHVI)which couples an abstract parabolic evolution hemivariational inequality and a nonlinear differential equation in a Banach ***,by apply ing surjectivity result for pseudomonotone multivalued mappins and the properties of Clarke's subgradient,we show the nonempty of the solution set for the parabolic hemivariational ***,some topological properties of the solution set are established such as boundedness,closedness and ***,we explore the upper semicontinuity of the solution ***,we prove the solution set of the system(DEHVI)is nonempty and the set of all trajectories of(DEHVI)is weakly compact in C(I,X).
