Optimal AP Deployment in Cell-Free Massive MIMO Systems with LoS/NLoS Transmissions:A Stochastic Geometry Approach

Cell-free massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO)is a promising technology for future wireless communications,where a large number of distributed access points(APs)simultaneously serve all users over the same time-frequency *** users and APs may locate close to each other,the line-of-sight(Lo S)transmission occurs more frequently in cell-free massive MIMO ***,in this paper,we investigate the cell-free massive MIMO system with Lo S and non-line-of-sight(NLo S)transmissions,where APs and users are both distributed according to Poisson point *** tools from stochastic geometry,we derive a tight lower bound for the user downlink achievable rate and we further obtain the energy efficiency(EE)by considering the power consumption on downlink payload transmissions and circuitry *** on the analysis,the optimal AP density and AP antenna number that maximize the EE are *** is found that compared with the previous work that only considers NLo S transmissions,the actual optimal AP density should be much smaller,and the maximized EE is actually much higher.

The characteristics of early-onset(onset age<50 years)and later-onset(onset age≥50 years)cancers differ *** novel risk factors for both types of cancer is crucial for increasing awareness of cancer prevention and for reducing its *** study aimed to analyze the trends in incidence and risk factors for early-onset and late-onset *** conducted a prospective study by drawing data from the Kailuan *** study included 6,741 participants with cancer(624 with early-onset cancer and 6,117 with later-onset cancer)and 6,780 matched controls among the 186,249 participants who underwent Kailuan health examinations from 2006 to *** primary outcomes were cancer incidence rates,and associated risk factors for early-and later-onset *** Cox regression was used to calculate hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals of each exposure factor for early-and later-onset cancer by cancer *** risk proportions were used to estimate the number of cases that could be prevented by eliminating a risk factor from the *** for liver cancer,incidence rates for nearly all types of cancer increased during the study ***,alcohol consumption,lipid metabolism disorders,hypertension,diabetes mellitus,fatty liver,and inflammation were associated with a significantly increased risk of cancer at multiple sites,but risk factors for cancer incidence differed by ***,alcohol consumption,inflammation,and hypertension were the major contributors to preventable *** incidence of several different types of cancer,including earlyonset cancer,is increasing in northeastern *** in risk factors between early-onset and later-onset malignancies may contribute to the divergence in the observed changes in incidence trends between these two specific types of cancer.

Evaluation of 3D crustal seismic velocity models in southwest China:Model performance,limitation,and prospects

Southwest China is a tectonically and seismically active region,witnessing strong deformation due to the collision between the Indian and Eurasian *** the subsurface velocity structure of this region is thus important in understanding the tectonics and geodynamic processes of continental collision and in mitigating seismic *** studies have provided various 3D seismic velocity models in southwest ***,discrepancies exist among these models,and less effort has been made to quantify the reliability and accuracy of these existing velocity *** this study,we use regional 3D waveform simulation to evaluate the performance of various regional crustal 3D velocity models in reproducing observed *** particularly focus on two recent earthquake sequence in the region,the 2021 Yunnan Yangbi MS_(6.4) earthquake sequence and the 2022 Sichuan Luding MS_(6.8) earthquake *** tested 3D velocity models include the Southwest China Community Velocity model V1.0,the Unified Seismic Tomography Models for Continental China Lithosphere V2.0,the adjoint full waveform tomography model of the crustal and upper mantle beneath Eastern Tibetan Plateau,and the shallow seismic structure model beneath continental *** results show that the tested 3D velocity models generally capture well long-period(<0.2 Hz)waveforms,indicating that the 3D models adequately resolve overall large-scale subsurface ***,the 3D synthetics show discrepancies in higher frequencies(0.05–0.3 Hz)and the performance of the 3D velocity models varies from region to region,suggesting that smaller scale heterogeneities are not well *** shallow velocity structures(<10 km)can improve the waveform fitting,emphasizing the importance of incorporating shallow structures in waveform *** full-waveform tomography model shows a slighter better performance than the other models,especially for the body-waves,highlighting the advantages

Buckling optimization of curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite structures using a parametric level set method

Owing to their excellent performance and large design space,curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite structures have gained considerable attention in engineering fields such as aerospace and *** addition to the stiffness and strength of such structures,their stability also needs to be taken into account in the *** study proposes a level-set-based optimization framework for maximizing the buckling load of curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite *** the proposed method,the contours of the level set function are used to represent fiber *** a composite laminate with a certain number of layers,one level set function is defined by radial basis functions and expansion coefficients for each ***,the fiber angle at an arbitrary point is the tangent orientation of the contour through this *** the finite element of buckling,the stiffness and geometry matrices of an element are related to the fiber angle at the element *** study considers the parallelism constraint for fiber *** the sensitivity calculation of the objective and constraint functions,the method of moving asymptotes is utilized to iteratively update all the expansion coefficients regarded as design *** numerical examples under different boundary conditions are given to validate the proposed *** show that the optimized curved fiber paths tend to be parallel and equidistant regardless of whether the composite laminates contain holes or ***,the buckling resistance of the final design is significantly improved.

An M-VCUT level set-based data-driven model of microstructures and optimization of two-scale structures

The optimization of two-scale structures can adapt to the different needs of materials in various regions by reasonably arranging different microstructures at the macro scale,thereby considerably improving structural ***,a multiple variable cutting(M-VCUT)level set-based data-driven model of microstructures is presented,and a method based on this model is proposed for the optimal design of two-scale *** geometry of the microstructure is described using the M-VCUT level set method,and the effective mechanical properties of microstructures are computed by the homogenization ***,a database of microstructures containing their geometric and mechanical parameters is *** two sets of parameters are adopted as input and output datasets,and a mapping relationship between the two datasets is established to build the data-driven model of *** the optimization of two-scale structures,the data-driven model is used for macroscale finite element and sensitivity *** efficiency of the analysis and optimization of two-scale structures is improved because the computational costs of invoking such a data-driven model are much smaller than those of homogenization.

Online Pareto optimal control of mean-field stochastic multi-player systems using policy iteration

In this study, the Pareto optimal strategy problem was investigated for multi-player mean-field stochastic systems governed by It? differential equations using the reinforcement learning(RL) method.A partially model-free solution for Pareto-optimal control was derived. First, by applying the convexity of cost functions, the Pareto optimal control problem was solved using a weighted-sum optimal control problem. Subsequently, using on-policy RL, we present a novel policy iteration(PI) algorithm based on the Hrepresentation technique. In particular, by alternating between the policy evaluation and policy update steps,the Pareto optimal control policy is obtained when no further improvement occurs in system performance,which eliminates directly solving complicated cross-coupled generalized algebraic Riccati equations(GAREs).Practical numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Privacy-Preserving Frank-Wolfe on Shuffle Model

In this paper,we design the differentially private variants of the classical Frank-Wolfe algorithm with shuffle model in the optimization of machine *** weak assumptions and the generalized linear loss(GLL)structure,we propose a noisy Frank-Wolfe with shuffle model algorithm(NoisyFWS)and a noisy variance-reduced Frank-Wolfe with the shuffle model algorithm(NoisyVRFWS)by adding calibrated laplace noise under shuffling scheme in thel_(p)(p∈[1,2])-case,and study their privacy as well as utility guarantees for the H?lder smoothness *** particular,the privacy guarantees are mainly achieved by using advanced composition and privacy amplification by *** utility bounds of the Noisy FWS and NoisyVRFWS are analyzed and obtained the optimal excess population risksO(n-(1+α/4α+log(d)√log(1/δ)/n∈and O(n-1+α/4α+log(d)√log1(+δ)/n^(2)∈with gradient complexity O(n(1+α)^(2)/4α^(2)forα∈[1/√3,1].It turns out that the risk rates under shuffling scheme are a nearly-dimension independent rate,which is consistent with the previous work in some *** addition,there is a vital tradeoff between(α,L)-Holder smoothness GLL and the gradient *** linear gradient complexity O(n)is showed by the parameterα=1.

Casein kinase-2 inhibition promotes retinal ganglion cell survival after acute intraocular pressure elevation

Intraocular pressure elevation can induce retinal ganglion cell death and is a clinically reversible risk factor for glaucoma,the leading cause of irreversible *** previously demonstrated that casein kinase-2 inhibition can promote retinal ganglion cell survival and axonal regeneration in rats after optic nerve *** investigate the underlying mechanism,in the current study we increased the intraocular pressure of adult rats to 75 mmHg for 2 hours and then administered a casein kinase-2 inhibitor(4,5,6,7-tetrabromo-2-azabenzimidazole or 2-dimethylamino-4,5,6,7-tetrabromo-1H-benzimidazole)by intravitreal *** found that intravitreal injection of 4,5,6,7-tetrabromo-2-azabenzimidazole or 2-dimethylamino-4,5,6,7-tetrabromo-1H-benzimidazole promoted retinal ganglion cell survival and reduced the number of infiltrating *** analysis showed that the mitogen activated protein kinase signaling pathway was involved in the response to intraocular pressure elevation but was not modulated by the casein kinase-2 ***,casein kinase-2 inhibition downregulated the expression of genes(Cck,Htrsa,Nef1,Htrlb,Prph,Chat,Slc18a3,Slc5a7,Scn1b,Crybb2,Tsga10ip,and Vstm21)involved in intraocular pressure *** data indicate that inhibition of casein kinase-2 can enhance retinal ganglion cell survival in rats after acute intraocular pressure elevation via macrophage inactivation.

Coupled effects of climate change and human activities on vegetation dynamics in the Southwestern Alpine Canyon Region of China

The driving effects of climate change and human activities on vegetation change have always been a focal point of ***,the coupling mechanisms of these driving factors across different temporal and spatial scales remain *** Southwestern Alpine Canyon Region of China(SACR),as an ecologically fragile area,is highly sensitive to the impacts of climate change and human *** study constructed a vegetation cover dataset for the SACR based on the Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI)from 2000 to *** autocorrelation,Theil-Sen trend,and Mann-Kendall tests were used to analyze the spatiotemporal characteristics of vegetation cover *** main drivers of spatial heterogeneity in vegetation cover were identified using the optimal parameter geographic detector,and an improved residual analysis model was employed to quantify the relative contributions of climate change and human activities to interannual vegetation cover *** main findings are as follows:Spatially,vegetation cover exceeds 60%in most areas,especially in the southern part of the study ***,the border area between Linzhi and Changdu exhibits lower vegetation *** factors are the primary drivers of spatial heterogeneity in vegetation cover,with temperature having the most significant influence,as indicated by its q-value,which far exceeds that of other ***,the interaction q-value between the two factors significantly increases,showing a relationship of bivariate enhancement and nonlinear *** terms of temporal changes,vegetation cover shows an overall improving trend from 2000 to 2020,with significant increases observed in 68.93%of the study *** these,human activities are the main factors driving vegetation cover change,with a relative contribution rate of 41.31%,while climate change and residual factors contribute 35.66%and 23.53%,*** thoroughly exploring the coupled mechanisms of vegetation change,this
