An Efficient Neural-Network and Finite-Difference Hybrid Method for Elliptic Interface Problems with Applications

A new and efficient neural-network and finite-difference hybrid method is developed for solving Poisson equation in a regular domain with jump discontinuities on embedded irregular *** the solution has low regularity across the interface,when applying finite difference discretization to this problem,an additional treatment accounting for the jump discontinuities must be ***,we aim to elevate such an extra effort to ease our implementation by machine learning *** key idea is to decompose the solution into singular and regular *** neural network learning machinery incorporating the given jump conditions finds the singular solution,while the standard five-point Laplacian discretization is used to obtain the regular solution with associated boundary *** of the interface geometry,these two tasks only require supervised learning for function approximation and a fast direct solver for Poisson equation,making the hybrid method easy to implement and *** two-and three-dimensional numerical results show that the present hybrid method preserves second-order accuracy for the solution and its derivatives,and it is comparable with the traditional immersed interface method in the *** an application,we solve the Stokes equations with singular forces to demonstrate the robustness of the present method.

The hydrothermal synthesis and crystal structures of four coordination polymers, namely, 2D [Zn(μ3-ta)(pytaH)]n (1), 2D [Zn(μ3-pyta)Cl]n (2), 1D [Cd(μ-pyta)2(H2O)]n (3), and 3D [Cd(μ3-pyta)(μ-Cl)]n (4) (pyta = (4-pyridylthio)acetate, ta = thioglycolate), are reported. They are based on (4-pyridylthio)acetate and its derived ligand. The ta2ligand present in 1 was generated from an in situ C(sp2)-S bond cleavage of the pyta ligand. In these compounds, versatile intermolecular interactions, such as close S…S interactions and strong (O―H…O/N/S) or weak (C―H…O/S, C―H…Cl) hydrogen bonding interactions, play an important role in the formation of three-dimensional supramolecular networks in the solid state.

In this study,microstructure and mechanical behavior of two types of Mg-based bimetal plates with a high formability sleeve were systematically studied,with a great emphasis on the effect of the interface characteristic and the sleeve fraction on the plasticity of composite *** rule of mixtures(ROM)for elongation was also *** results show that when there is no or thin diffusion layer with thickness of about 3μm,Mg-based bimetal plates have a good plasticity with elongation of about 19-24%,and the ROM predicted elongations are very close to the experimental *** contrast,with a diffusion layer about 95-155μm thick,Mg-based bimetal plates exhibit a poor plasticity with elongation of about 11-17%,and the experimental elongations largely deviate from the ROM *** plasticity of Mg-based bimetal plates increases with increasing sleeve *** study provides new insights on the plastic deformation of Mg-based bimetal composites with a high formability sleeve.

A CASCADING LATIN SCHEME TO TOLERATE DOUBLE DISK FAILURES IN RAID ARCHITECTURES

In recent years,a lot of XOR-based coding schemes have been developed to tolerate double disk failures in Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) architectures,such as EVENODD-code,X-code,B-code and BG-HEDP. Despite those researches,the decades-old strategy of Reed-Solomon (RS) code remains the only popular space-optimal Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) code for all but the smallest storage systems. The reason is that all those XOR-based schemes are too difficult to be implemented,it mainly because the coding-circle of those codes vary with the number of disks. By contrast,the coding-circle of RS code is a constant. In order to solve this problem,we develop a new MDS code named Latin code and a cascading scheme based on Latin code. The cascading Latin scheme is a nearly MDS code (with only one or two more parity disks compared with the MDS ones). Nev-ertheless,it keeps the coding-circle of the basic Latin code (i.e. a constant) and the low encod-ing/decoding complexity similar to other parity array codes.

Expression of serum human epididymal secretory protein E4 at low grade and high grade serous carcinomas

Objective:To investigate the value of serum human epididymis protein 4(HE4) in differential diagnosis of patients with low-grade serous(LGSC) and high-grade serous carcinoma(HGSC) serous ovarian ***:LGSC and HGSC serous ovarian cancer were diagnosed by the two-tier grade system,serum levels of HE4 and carbohydrate antigen 12S(CA125) were measured by ELBA and radioisotope method,respectively in 60 serous ovarian cancer patients. HE4 and TPS3 protein in cancer tissue were measured by immunohistochemical method. Results:The difference in density of HE4 and TP53 protein was significant between LGSC and HGSC tissue,while serum CA12S did not show significant difference between different serum *** was significant difference in serum HE4 levels between LGSC and HGSC and the result was different within FIGO(Ⅰ+Ⅱ) stage,suggesting HE4 was not a reliable biomarker for the discrimination between LGSC and ***4 had potential as a biomarker for the discrimination between LGSC and HGSC but the role in early diagnosis was ***:HE4 may be a reliable marker for differential diagnosis of LGSC and *** its role in early diagnosis of LGSC and HGSC need to be confirmed from the perspective of two-tier grade system.

Coupling mechanism of mineralization and hydrocarbon-forming in hydrothermal convection system: An example from Longtoushan Sn-polymetal deposit, Dachang

Longtoushan Sn-polymetal deposit is a large-scale deposit of high-tenor. The ore-bodies occur in reef limestone of middle Devonian. There is much anthraxolite in reef limestone and ore-bodies. The anthraxolite is the postmature result of oil-gas' thermal metamorphism. The close relationship of anthraxolite and Sn-polymetal deposit reveals the space-time relation between oil-gas evolution and Sn-polymetal mineralization. Sulfur isotope of Longtoushan deposit is close to oil's sulfur in Devonian, which indicates obvious relationship between the sulfur's source of deposit and oil-gas' activity. The forming of Longtoushan deposit relates to exhalative-sedimentary mineralization in Devonian. Because of the favorable hydrocarbon-forming condition of Longtoushan reef and surrounding basin facies' black shale and peat, coupling of ore-formation and hydrocarbon-forming occurs in seabed's hydrothermal convection. The distributing of ore-forming elements indicates the presence of hydrothermal convection system. The thermal fluid containing organic matters conduces to Sn-polymetal elements' activation and transfer, and provides catalyzing condition to the transforming from SO42- to S2-. The erosion action of brine containing organic acid to reef limestone induces the growing of crannies and karst's caverns, which provides advantageous space to Sn-polymetal mineralization. The heat source of mineralization provides thermocatalysis condition to hydrocarbon-forming. When the circulatory fluid containing oil-gas enters the high-temperature region(＞150 ℃ ), the oil-gas is decomposed and anthraxolite comes into being.

Subtle traps prediction using sequence stratigraphy and 3D seismic technology: A case study from Qikou depression in Huanghua basin

Forecasting subtle traps by sequence stratigraphy and 3D seismic data is a sensitive topic in hydrocarbon exploration. Research on subtle traps by geophysical data is the most popular and difficult. Based on the sufficiently drilling data, log data, core data and 3D seismic data, sediment sequence of Qikou depression, Huanghua basin was partitioned by using sequence stratigraphy theory. Each sediment sequence system mode was built. Sediment faces of subtle traps were pointed out. Dominating factors forming subtle traps were analyzed. Sandstone seismic rock physics and its response were studied in Tertiary System. Sandstone geophysical response and elastic modulus vary laws with pressure, temperature, porosity, depth were built. Experimental result and practice shows that it is possible using seismic information forecasting subtle traps. Integrated using geology, log, drilling data, special seismic processing technique, interpretation technique, high precision horizon calibration technique, 3D seismic visualizing interpretation, seismic coherence analysis, attribute analysis, logging-constrained inversion, time frequency analysis, subtle trapsobject is identified and interpreted. Finally, advantage object of subtle trap in this area was determined. Bottomland sand stratigraphic and lithologic reservoirs in Qinan slope zone have been founded by means of high resolution 3D seismic data field technique, high resolution 3D seismic data processing technique and seismic wave impendence inversion technique.

Two pairs of fluorescent natural products,talarolactones(+)/(−)-A and(+)/(−)-C[(+)/(−)-1 and(+)/(−)-2],were discovered and characterized as a new family of circularly polarized luminescence-active small organic molecules(CPL-SOMs)with high fluorescence efficiency and fascinating CPL *** CPL(|glum|)levels of enantiomerically pure(+)/(−)-1 and(+)/(−)-2 in solution falls into the usual range(10−5−10−3)considering their pure organic nature,but the sign of CPL were found to be closely related to the absolute configuration of *** high agreement of the measured CPL spectra of(+)/(−)-1 and(+)/(−)-2 with the time-dependent density functional theory(TDDFT)calculated ones demonstrated the usefulness of CPL-calculation as a unique method for stereochemical *** study may open up a new perspective for the stereochemical studies and the future development of CPL materials.

Prediction value of radiosensitivity of hepatocarcinoma cells for apoptosis and micronucleus assay

AIM： To investigate the prediction value of radiosensitivity of hepatocarcinoma cells for apoptosis and rnicronucleus assay. METHODS： Clonogenic assay, flow cytometry, and CB micronuclei assay were used to survey the cell survival rate, radiation-induced apoptosis and rnicronucleus frequency of hepatocarcinorna cell lines SMMC-7721, HL-7702, and HepG2 after being irradiated by X-ray at the dosage ranging 0-8 Gy. RESULTS： After irradiation, there was a dose-effect relationship between rnicronucleus frequency and radiation dosage among the three cell lines （P〈0.05）. A positive relationship was observed between apoptosis and radiation dosage among the three cell lines. The HepG2 cells had a significant correlation （P〈0.05） but apoptosis incidence had a negative relationship with rnicronucleus frequency. There was a positive relationship between apoptosis and radiation dosage and the correlation between 5MMC-7721 and HL-7702 cell lines had a significant difference （P〈0.01）. After irradiation, a negative relationship between cell survival rate and radiation dosages was found among the three cell lines （P〈0.01）. There was a positive relationship between cell survival rate and rnicronucleus frequency （P〈0.01）. No correlation was observed between apoptosis and cell survival rate. CONCLUSION： The radiosensiUvity of hepatocarcinoma cells can be reflected by apoptosis and rnicronuclei. Detection of apoptosis and rnicronuclei could enhance the accuracy for predicting radiosensitivity.
