Fundus artery occlusion caused by cosmetic facial injections

Background With the increasing popularity of cosmetic facial filler injections in recent years, more and more associated complications have been reported. However, the causative surgical procedures and preventative measures have not been studied well up to now. The aim of this stady was to investigate the clinical characteristics and visual prognosis of fundus artery occlusion resulting from cosmetic facial filler injections. Methods Thirteen consecutive patients with fundus artery occlusion caused by facial filler injections were included. Main outcome measures were filler materials, injection sites, best-corrected visual acuity （BCVA）, fundus fluorescein angiography, and associated ocular and systemic manifestations. Results Eleven patients had ophthalmic artery occlusion （OAO） and one patient each had central retinal artery occlusion （CRAO） and anterior ischemic optic neuropathy （AION）. Injected materials included autologous fat （seven cases）, hyaluronic acid （five cases）, and bone collagen （one case）. Injection sites were the frontal area （five cases）, periocular area （two cases）, temple area （two cases）, and nose area and nasal area （4 cases）. Injected autologous fat was associated with worse final BCVA than hyaluronic acid. The BCVA of seven patients with autologous fat injection in frontal area and temple area was no light perception. Most of the patients with OAO had ocular pain, headache, ptosis, ophthalmoplegia, and no improvement in final BCVA. Conclusions Cosmetic facial injections can cause fundus artery occlusion. Autologous fat injection tends to be associated with painful blindness, ptosis, ophthalmoplegia, and poor visual outcomes. The prognosis is much worse with autologous fat injection than hyaluronic acid iniection.

AIM:To analyze the global scientific output concerning myopic traction maculopathy(MTM)and to summarize the research frontiers and hot topics of MTM related ***:Data were collected for bibliometric and visualization analyses from Web of Science(WOS)Core *** records were analyzed for titles,publication years,research institutions,journal names,authors,keywords,and abstracts using CiteSpace software version ***:A total of 839 related studies were analyzed,the publication volume increased annually,with Asia the most active region of MTM *** coherence tomography angiography,optical coherence tomography,macular hole,high myopia,macular buckling were identified as the focus of the current ***,association,classification and shape were identified as the major research ***:MTM is a major cause of visual loss in pathological myopic *** the preceding 17y,the number of annual publications in MTM research increased *** on the progression nature of MTM,genome-wide association study and proper classification of MTM might still be the frontiers of MTM researches.

BOOM处理器采用的Store指令回查策略虽然解决了访存指令乱序执行引发的数据冲突问题,但是该策略会导致流水线的大量冲刷,降低了处理器的性能。对此,提出了一种访存指令的相关性预测方法。该方法取消了Load指令访存前的查询操作,增加了Load指令相关性预测表,只有预测为无相关性的Load指令才可以乱序执行。这种方法在保证程序逻辑正确的前提下避免了大量冲刷流水线。测试程序采用SPEC CPU 2006下的7个子程序,实验结果表明,改进后的处理器执行程序的性能平均提升了3.5%。

Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease

Background Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease （CJD）, a rare disease, is uncharacterized by computed tomography （CT） and magnetic resonance imaging （MRI）. This study was aimed to evaluate the diffusion-weighted MRI （DWI） manifestations of CJD and to discuss their diagnostic value. Methods The findings of T1-weighted MR/（T1WI）, T2-weighted MRI（T2WI）, DWI and post-contrast MRI in 5 patients （3 patients with biopsy-proven CJD and 2 patients with clinically-proven CJD） were retrospectively analyzed in this study. Results Four out of the 5 patients had cerebral atrophy of various degrees. One patient showed symmetric high signal intensity at the bilateral globus pallidus and the head of the caudate nucleus, with very high signal in the cerebral cortex on the DWI. This patient only had symmetric slightly high signal at the bilateral globus pallidus and putamen on T2WI. One patient had high signal intensity at the basal ganglia and cerebral cortex on DWI, but abnormal T2 signal intensity at the bilateral paraventricular white matter on MRI. Two patients presented with widely gyri-like high signal intensity at the cortex on DWI, but routine MRI showed bilateral paraventricular long T2 signal intensity in 1 patient and no abnormal findings in another. No abnormalities were shown by both routine MRIand DWI in the last patient. Conclusions DWI is more sensitive than its conventional counterpart in the depiction of CJD. DWI is more sensitive to detect cortical abnormal signal intensity in CJD not detected by T2WI.

Characterization of endogenous nucleic acids that bind to NgAgo in Natronobacterium gregoryi sp2 cells

As nucleic acid-guided endonucleases,some prokaryotic Argonautes have been used as programmable *** gregoryi Argonaute(NgAgo)has also been proposed for gene editing,but this remains very *** now,the endogenous nucleic acids that bind to NgAgo in Natronobacterium gregoryi sp2(*** sp2)have not been *** expressed the conserved PIWI domain of NgAgo and used it to induce anti-PIWI *** also cultured the *** sp2 strain and performed immunoprecipitation,chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP),and RNA immunoprecipitation(RIP)*** nucleic acids that endogenously bound NgAgo in *** sp2 cells were sequenced and *** results showed that NgAgo endogenously bound RNA rather than ***-associated RNAs were mainly transcripts of genes that encoded tRNA,transcriptional regulators,RNA polymerases,and RNA-binding *** mainly binds to the transcripts inside genes or in their upstream ***,the top enriched motif of peaks was the same as that of miR-1289,suggesting that NgAgo may regulate gene expression *** enrichment analysis showed that the peak-associated genes were enriched in transmembrane transport *** results revealed that NgAgo binds RNA and may function in post-transcriptional regulation in vivo.

Based on the analysis of uniform sampling theorem, this paper presented the uniform deterndnistic discrete method (UDDM) for computing the diffuse radiation viewfactors in complex geometrical systems. The accuracy, speed and convergence are discussed or compared with that of Monte Carlo Method (MCM) in order to demonstrate the advantages of UDDM.

Primary malignant liver mesenchymal tumor is a rare condition defined as a tumor with vascular, fibrous, adi-pose, and other mesenchymal tissue differentiation. We report a case of primary malignant liver mesenchymal tumor in a 51-year-old male with anemia, weight loss and hepatomegaly. Finally unconventional liver biopsy and histological manifestation led to the definitive diag-nosis.

The special mass shift coefficient and field parameter factor of four multiples,3s^4P→3p4P°,3s^4P→3p^4D°,3s^2D→5p^2D°,and 3s^2P→3p^2P°,of ^14N and ^15N were studied using the multi-configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock method and the relativistic configuration interaction *** normal mass shifts,special mass shifts,field shifts,and isotope shifts of N(I)were derived from the theoretical calculated normal mass shift parameter,special mass shift parameter and field parameter factor,and compared with the reported experimental measurements and theoretical results.

射精球蛋白EBP主要由射精管释放,是果蝇精液的重要组成部分。但是,EBP的具体作用机制及其在果蝇其它生命活动中的功能仍不清楚。本文检测了果蝇Ebp和EbpII基因在不同发育阶段以及成虫精巢与卵巢中的表达水平。结果发现,Ebp和EbpII基因在成虫中的表达水平显著高于其它发育阶段的果蝇,且它们在精巢中的表达显著高于卵巢。生物信息学分析表明,EBP和EBPⅡ蛋白仅包含若干低复杂区域,不含特殊的结构域,且它们的理化性质存在差异。在精细胞中特异性敲降Ebp后,果蝇储精囊中缺乏成熟的精子,但敲降EbpII后精巢没有显著的表型变化。TUNEL实验结果显示,在精细胞和生殖干细胞中特异性敲降Ebp的表达均能引起精子束的异常凋亡。由此,推测Ebp基因参与果蝇精子发生过程,并在维持精细胞存活过程中起关键作用。

Radiolytic degradation and mechanism study of electron beam-irradiated solutions of 4-tert-octylphenol

In this study, we have investigated the degradation and primary radiolytic degradation mechanism of 4-tert-octylphenol (4-t-OP) by using of electron beam (EB) -irradiation. The results show that at an absorbed dose of 10 kGy and an initial concentration of 25 mg·L -1 , the degradation of 4-t-OP in a methanol/water reduction system is higher than in a acetonitrile/water oxidation system by 19.4% and higher than in an acetone/water system by 26.8%, which is due to both of ·OH and e aq - playing an important role in the decomposition of 4-t-OP, although the latter is more effective. The degradation rate of 4-t-OP will decrease with increment of absorbed dose in a methanol/water solution, and increase with decrement of initial concentration at a constant absorbed dose. The degradation efficiency will also decrease with the addition of anions and H 2 O 2 into the solution. A system saturated with N 2 will make an increment in the degradation of 4-t-OP. The pH value of solution has been also found to affect the degradation efficiency, while the degradation is more efficient in alkaline conditions. Finally, the initial products involved in degradation reaction have been determined to be ethylbenzene, styrene, bicyclo[4.2.0]octa-1,3,5-triene, 2,2,4-trimethylpentane and p-tert-butyl-phenol, which may arise from e aq - attack at the position of the alkyl side chain of 4-t-OP molecule. The results have been revealed that EB irradiation is a promising method for degradation of 4-t-OP, and e aq - may be main reactive species to attack at the position of the alkyl side chain of 4-t-OP.
