Target assembly is a key consumable material for producing thin fi lm used in the electronic packaging and devices. The residual stresses induced during the process of soldering are detrimental to the performance of target assembly. In this work, the intensity and distribution of the soldering residual stress of Co/In/Cu target assembly subjected to a 20 W/(m^2 K) cooling condition corresponding to the actual air cooling process were studied, based on fi nite element simulation and Taguchi method, to optimize the sputtering target assembly. Effects of different control factors, including solder material, thickness of solder layer, target and backing plate, on the soldering residual stress of target assembly are investigated. The maximum residual stress is calculated as 9.28 MPa in the target located at 0.16 mm from target–solder layer interface and at a distance of 0.78 mm from symmetry axis. The optimal design in target assembly has the combination of indium solder material, cobalt target at 12 mm thick, solder layer at 0.8 mm thick, copper backing plate at 15 mm thick. Moreover, solder material is the most important factor among control factors in the target assembly.

The service life of refractory brick in the slag tapping hole of the entrained flow gasifier was significantly lower than that in other *** was critically important to study the corrosion mechanism of refractory brick in the slag tapping hole for guiding industrial *** the complex flow field in the slag tapping hole,the influence of gas velocity and temperature fluctuation on the service life of refractory brick was investigated in this *** results showed that the slag flow characteristics periodically changed with the gas temperature and velocity *** brick corrosion rate increased with the decrease of fluctuation *** with the gas-phase velocity fluctuation,the gasphase temperature fluctuation had a more significant influence on the brick corrosion *** the fluctuation frequency was 0.01 Hz and the gas temperature fluctuation amplitude was 200 K,the corrosion rate of refractory bricks increased by 25%.It could be concluded that the fluctuation of gas-phase temperature was the main cause for the low service life of refractory bricks in the tapping hole.

This study was to investigate bacterial and archaeal community structure of pan-Arctic Ocean sediments by pyrosequencing. In total, investigation of three marine sediments revealed 15 002 bacterial and 4 362 archaeal operational taxonomic units （OTUs） at the 97% similarity level. Analysis of community structure indicated that these three samples had high bacterial and archaeal diversity. The most relatively abundant bacterial group in Samples CC 1 and R05 was Proteobacteria, while Firmicutes was dominant in Sample BL03. Thaumarchaeota was the most relatively abundant archaeal phylum in Samples CC1 and R05, and the relative abundance of Thaumarchaeota was almost as high as that of Euryarchaeota in Sample BL03. These two phyla accounted for nearly 100% of the archaeal OTUs. 6-Proteobacteria and y-Proteobacteria were the two most relatively abundant classes at Proteobacterial class level, and their relative abundance was more than 60% in Samples CC1 and R05. There were also differences in the top 10 relatively abundant bacterial and archaeal OTUs among the three samples at the 97% similarity, and only 12 core bacterial OTUs were detected. Overall, this study indicated that there were distinct microbial communities and many unique OTUs in these three samples.

Efects of idle time on biological phosphorus removal by sequencing batch reactors

Three identical sequencing batch reactors （SBRs） were operated to investigate the effects of various idle times on the biological phosphorus （P） removal. The idle times were set to 3 hr （R1）, 10 hr （R2） and 17 hr （R3）. The results showed that the idle time of a SBR had potential impact on biological phosphorus removal, especially when the influent phosphorus concentration increased. The phosphorus removal efficiencies of the R2 and R3 systems declined dramatically compared with the stable R1 system, and the Prelease and P-uptake rates of the R3 system in particular decreased dramatically. The PCR-DGGE analysis showed that uncultured Pseudomonas sp. （GQ183242.1） and β-Proteobacteria （AY823971） were the dominant phosphorus removal bacteria for the R1 and R2 systems, while uncultured γ-Proteobacteria were the dominant phosphorus removal bacteria for the R3 system. Glycogen-accumulating organisms （GAOs）, such as uncultured Sphingomonas sp. （AM889077）, were found in the R2 and R3 systems. Overall, the R1 system was the most stable and exhibited the best phosphorus removal efficiency. It was found that although the idle time can be prolonged to allow the formation of intracellular polymers when the phosphorus concentration of the influent is low, systems with a long idle time can become unstable when the influent phosphorus concentration is increased.
