Background:Cerebrovascular disease(CVD)ranks among the foremost factors responsible for mortality on a global *** mortality patterns of CVDs and temporal trends in China need to be well-illustrated and ***:We collected mortality data on patients with CVD from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Disease Surveillance Points(CDC-DSP)*** mortality of CVD in 2020 was described by age,sex,residence,and *** temporal trend from 2013 to 2019 was evaluated using joinpoint regression,and estimated rates of decline were extrapolated until 2030 using time series ***:In 2019,the age-standardized mortality in China(ASMRC)per 100,000 individuals was *** ASMRC for males(137.7/10^(5))and rural areas(123.0/10^(5))were both higher when stratified by gender and urban/rural *** central region had the highest mortality(126.5/10^(5)),the western region had a slightly lower mortality(123.5/10^(5)),and the eastern region had the lowest mortality(97.3/10^(5)).The age-specific mortality showed an accelerated upward trend from aged 55-59 years,with maximum mortality observed in individuals over 85 years of *** age-standardized mortality of CVD decreased by 2.43%(95%confidence interval,1.02-3.81%)annually from 2013 to ***,the age-specific mortality of CVD increased from 2013 to 2019 for the age group of over 85 *** 2020,both the absolute number of CVD cases and the crude mortality of CVD have increased compared to their values in *** estimated total deaths due to CVD were estimated to reach 2.3 million in 2025 and 2.4 million in ***:The heightened focus on the burden of CVD among males,rural areas,the central and western of China,and individuals aged 75 years and above has emerged as a pivotal determinant in further decreasing mortalities,consequently presenting novel challenges to strategies for disease prevention and control.

Effect of microalloying on wettability and interface characteristics of Zr-based bulk metallic glasses with W substrate

The infiltration casting method is widely employed for the preparation of ex-situ composite ***,the production of composite materials using this method must necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the wettability and interface characteristics between the reinforcing phase and the bulk metallic glasses(BMGs).This work optimized the composition of Zr-based BMGs through microalloying methods,resulting in a new set of Zr-based BMGs with excellent glass-forming *** experiments between the Zr-based BMGs melts and W substrates were conducted using the traditional sessile drop method,and the interfaces were characterized utilizing a scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS).The work demonstrates that the microalloying method substantially enhances the wettability of the Zr-based BMGs ***,the incorporation of Nb element impedes the formation of W-Zr phases,but the introduction of Nb element does not alter the extent of interdiffusion between the constituent elements of the amorphous matrix and W element,indicating that the influence of Nb element on the diffusion of individual elements is minute.

Osteosarcoma(OS)is one of the most common malignant tumors in children and young *** chemotherapy and other therapies are limited by low therapeutic efficiency,severe side effects and single therapeutic function,it is of high value to develop innovative therapies for precise and efficient treatment of ***,natural photo-synthetic microalgae(***,CV)were utilized as carriers for the chemotherapeutic agent doxorubicin(DOX)to create a multifunctional therapeutic platform(CV@DOX)for the photo-modulation of the tumor microenvi-ronment(TME)and synergistic chemo-photodynamic therapy of ***@DOX exhibited rapid drug release behavior in the acidic TME,improving the efficiency of chemotherapy against tumors and reducing side effects on other normal *** 650 nm laser irradiation,CV@DOX demonstrated the ability to effectively generate oxygen to alleviate tumor hypoxia and utilize the photosensitizing properties of chlorophyll in CV to produce an increased amount of reactive oxygen species(ROS),thereby enhancing photodynamic therapy(PDT).CV@DOX-mediated synergistic chemo-photodynamic therapy demonstrated efficacy in halting tumor progression in an orthotopic osteosarcoma mouse model by promoting tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting tumor proliferation and ***,chlorophyll-assisted fluorescence imaging enabled monitoring of the distribution of CV@DOX in osteosarcoma after ***,CV@DOX did not cause significant hematological and tissue toxicity,and prevented DOX-induced cardiotoxicity,showing good in vivo ***,this work presents a novel TME-responsive and TME-modulating platform for imaging-guided multimodal osteosar-coma treatment.

BACKGROUND While the impact of depression on cognition is well-documented,the relationship between feelings and cognition has received limited *** To explore the potential association between feelings and cognition with a twosample Mendelian randomization(MR)*** Our analysis utilized genome-wide association data on various feelings(fed-up feelings,n=453071;worrier/anxious feelings,n=450765;guilty feelings,n=45-0704;nervous feelings,n=450700;sensitivity/hurt feelings,n=449419;miserableness,n=454982;loneliness/isolation,n=455364;happiness,n=152348)in the European population and their impact on cognitive functions(intelligence,n=269867).Conducting a univariable MR(UVMR)analysis to assess the relationship between feelings and *** this analysis,we applied the inverse variance weighting(IVW),weighted median,and MR Egger ***,we performed sensitivity analysis(leave-one-out analysis),assessed heterogeneity(using MR-PRESSO and Cochran’s Q test),and conducted multiple validity test(employing MR-Egger regression).Subsequently,a multivariable MR(MVMR)analysis was employed to examine the impact of feelings on *** served as the primary method in the multivariable analysis,complemented by median-based and MR-Egger *** In this study,UVMR indicated that sensitivity/hurt feelings may have a negative causal effect on cognition(OR=0.63,95%CI:0.43-0.92,P=0.017).After adjustment of other feelings using MVMR,a direct adverse causal effect on cognition was observed(OR_(MVMR)=0.39,95%CI:0.17-0.90,P_(MVMR)=0.027).While a potential increased risk of cognitive decline was observed for fed-up feelings in the UVMR analysis(ORUVMR=0.64,95%CI:0.42-0.97,PUVMR=0.037),this effect disappeared after adjusting for other feelings(OR_(MVMR)=1.42,95%CI:0.43-4.74,P_(MVMR)=0.569).These findings were generally consistent across MV-IVW,median-based,and MR-Egger ***-Egger regression revealed pleiotropy in the impact of worrier/anxious

BACKGROUND The efficacy of Vonoprazan-amoxicillin dual therapy(VAT)in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori(***)is *** To evaluate the efficacy of VAT in the Chinese *** This prospective,multicenter,randomized,open-label,and two-stage study was conducted at 23 centers in Fujian,China(May 2021-April 2022).***-infected patients were randomized to bismuth quadruple therapy(BQT),BQT-Vonoprazan(BQT-V),seven-day VAT(VAT-7),ten-day VAT(VAT-10),and fourteen-day VAT(VAT-14)*** primary endpoint was the *** eradication *** secondary endpoint was the frequency of adverse *** study was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry,*** In the first stage,VAT-7 and BQT-V groups were selected for early termination because less than 23 among 28 cases were *** the second stage,the eradication rates for BQT,VAT-10,and VA-14 were 80.2%[95%confidence interval(95%CI):71.4%-86.8%],93.2%(86.6%-96.7%),92.2%(85.3%-96.0%)in the intention-to-treat(ITT)analysis,and 80.9%(95%CI:71.7%-87.5%),94.0%(87.5%-97.2%),and 93.9%(87.4%-97.2%)in the per-protocol *** ITT analysis showed a higher eradication rate in the VAT-10 and VAT-14 groups than in the BQT group(P=0.022 and P=0.046,respectively).The incidence of adverse events in the VAT-10 and VAT-14 groups was lower than in the BQT group(25.27%and 13.73%vs 37.62%,respectively;P<0.001).CONCLUSION VAT with a duration of 10 or 14 days achieves a higher eradication rate than the BQT,with a more tolerable safety profile in ***-infected patients in *** XP et *** for *** eradication.

Babao Dan Inhibits Gastric Cancer Progression in vivo Through Multiple Signaling Pathways

Objective:The aim of this study was to explore the effects of Babao dan(BBD),a traditional Chinese medicine,on gastric cancer(GC)progression in *** and Methods:A subcutaneous xenograft mouse model of GC was established using MGC80-3 *** terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP:2'-deoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate-biotin nick-end labeling method was adopted to detect cell apoptosis in *** expression levels of proteins associated with proliferation,apoptosis,and angiogenesis were measured by immunohistochemical staining or western blotting(WB).The activation and protein levels of p-c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK),p-p38,p-extracellular-regulated kinase 1/2,p-nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB),and p-STAT3 were examined by Bio-plex and ***:BBD significantly inhibited tumor growth in GC mouse models with no adverse effect on body weight or organ *** was also found that BBD significantly suppressed the proliferation of GC tumor cells,induced the apoptosis of tumor cells,and inhibited angiogenesis through inactivating with mitogen-activated protein kinase,NF-κB,and STAT3 ***:BBD exerts suppressive effects on GC tumor growth by regulating multiple pathways in vivo,which may provide a novel treatment option for GC therapy.

Aiming to analyze the damage mechanism of UTAO from the perspective of meso-mechanical mechanism using discrete element method(DEM),we conducted study of diseases problems of UTAO in several provinces in China,and found that aggregate spalling was one of the main disease types of UTAO.A discrete element model of UTAO pavement structure was constructed to explore the meso-mechanical mechanism of UTAO damage under the influence of layer thickness,gradation,and bonding *** experimental results show that,as the thickness of UTAO decreasing,the maximum value and the mean value of the contact force between all aggregate particles gradually increase,which leads to aggregates more prone to *** with OGFC-5 UTAO,AC-5 UTAO presents smaller maximum and average values of all contact forces,and the loading pressure in AC-5 UTAO is fully diffused in the lateral *** addition,the increment of pavement modulus strengthens the overall force of aggregate particles inside UTAO,resulting in aggregate particles peeling off more *** increase of bonding modulus changes the position where the maximum value of the tangential force appears,whereas has no effect on the normal force.

A multi-terminal ion-controlled transistor with multifunctionality and wide temporal dynamics for reservoir computing

Reservoir computing(RC)is an energy-efficient computational framework with low training cost and high efficiency in processing spatiotemporal *** state-of-the-art fully memristor-based hardware RC system suffers from bottlenecks in the computation efficiencies and accuracy due to the limited temporal tunability in the volatile memristor for the reservoir layer and the nonlinearity in the nonvolatile memristor for the readout ***,integrating different types of memristors brings fabrication and integration *** overcome the challenges,a multifunctional multi-terminal electrolyte-gated transistor(MTEGT)that combines both electrostatic and electrochemical doping mechanisms is proposed in this work,integrating both widely tunable volatile dynamics with high temporal tunable range of 10^(2) and nonvolatile memory properties with high long-term potentiation/long-term depression(LTP/LTD)linearity into a single *** ion-controlled physical RC system fully implemented with only one type of MTEGT is constructed for image recognition using the volatile dynamics for the reservoir and nonvolatility for the readout ***,an ultralow normalized mean square error of 0.002 is achieved in a time series prediction *** is believed that the MTEGT would underlie next-generation neuromorphic computing systems with low hardware costs and high computational performance.
