Background： To our knowledge, there is little study on the interaction between nutrient availability and molecular structure changes induced by different processing methods in dairy cattle. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of heat processing methods on interaction between nutrient availability and molecular structure in terms of functional groups that are related to protein and starch inherent structure of oat grains with two continued years and three replication of each ***： The oat grains were kept as raw（control） or heated in an air-draft oven（dry roasting： DO） at 120 °c for 60 min and under microwave irradiation（mIO） for 6 min. The molecular structure features were revealed by vibrational infrared molecular ***： The results showed that rumen degradability of dry matter, protein and starch was significantly lower（P 〈0.05） for mIO compared to control and DO treatments. A higher protein α-helix to β-sheet and a lower amide I to starch area ratio were observed for mIO compared to DO and/or raw treatment. A negative correlation（-0.99, P 〈 0.01）was observed between α-helix or amide I to starch area ratio and dry matter. A positive correlation（0.99, P 〈 0.01） was found between protein β-sheet and crude ***： The results reveal that oat grains are more sensitive to microwave irradiation than dry heating in terms of protein and starch molecular profile and nutrient availability in ruminants.

The synthesis of large area, homogenous, single layer graphene on cobalt （co） and nickel （Ni） is reported. The process involves vacuum annealing of sputtered amorphous carbon （a-c） deposited on co/sapphire or Ni/sapphire substrates. The improved crystallinity of the metal film, assisted by the sapphire substrate, proves to be the key to the quality of as-grown graphene film. The crystallinity of the co and Ni metal films was improved by sputtering the metal at elevated temperature as was verified by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. After sputtering of a-c and annealing, large area, single layer graphene that occupies almost the entire area of the substrate was produced. With this method, 100 mm2-area single layer graphene can be synthesized and is limited only by the substrate and vacuum chamber size. The homogeneity of the graphene film is not dependent on the cooling rate, in contrast to syntheses using polycrystalline metal films and conventional chemical vapor deposition （cVD） growth. Our facile method of producing single layer graphene on co and Ni metal films should lead to large scale graphene-based applications.

Background: confusion often arises in caring for diabetic foot infections and ulcers, especially with antimicrobials;we aim to shed light on this entity and alert healthcare workers to its stewardship. methods: Records were reviewed between February 2016 and September 2023. Data for patients diagnosed with diabetes and foot ulcers, infected or not, were examined following IcD 9 search terms. Records for patients were included if they were prediabetic/diabetic adults with foot ulcers, more than 18 years old, and on antidiabetic treatment. Patients were excluded if they insulin resistant, with normal HgbA1c levels, wheel-chair dependent, bed-bound, non-diabetic patients, diabetic patients who had vascular lower limb surgery earlier to ulcers, diabetic patients who had aortocoronary bypass, deep venous thrombosis within six months, malignancy, and severe clinical depression. A modified IWGDF/IDSA guidelines definitions for DFI and DFU was considered. Statistical analysis was done using R programming. Statistical methods were employed as appropriate, and a significant P-value was considered for P Results: most characteristics were well balanced between DFI and DFU, on imaging osteomyelitis and tissue swelling were significantly more in DFI. Endovascular radiological procedures showed angiograms to be considerably more in DFI, while angioplasty was more in DFU, in addition to smoking. Bacteremia was uncommon, and swab cultures were mostly polymicrobial in both ulcers;no clear association with blood bacteria was detected with the polymicrobial growth, though few were concordant. Antimicrobials prescribed for both ulcers were not statistically different except for carbapenems, which were more in DFI (P conclusion: Attention should be paid to best practices while caring for diabetic ulcers. These include swab culture interpretations, the use of antimicrobials, and plan management according to DFI or DFU to utilize either local care or combination with antimicrobials.

Phototropism, the induction of carotenogenesis and reproductive structures, and resetting of the circadian rhythm are controlled by blue light. Trichoderma is used as a photomorphogenetic model due to its ability to conidiate upon exposure to light. In total darkness, T. atroviride grows indefinitely as a mycelium provided that nutrients are not limiting. However, nutrient deprivation and light trigger the conidiation process. A pulse of blue light given to a radially growing colony induces synchronous sporulation. A ring of conidiophores bearing green conidia is produced at what had been the colony perimeter at the time of the light pulse. All known responses to blue light in N. crassa are initiated by a couple of transcription factors encoded by the white-collar genes (wc -1 and wc-2). Wc-1 and Wc-2 bind to the promoters of light regulated genes to rapidly activate transcription in response to light. In T. atroviride the photolyase encoding gene phr1 undergoes fast transcriptional activation in response to light. The presence of putative Wcc binding boxes in the promoter of phr1, suggested that light responses in Trichoderma could be under the control of white-collar homologues. We cloned two genes and demonstrated by gene replacement that both are essential for photoconidiation and photolyase gene expression. Therefore, they were named blue-light regulator one and two (blr1 and blr2). The BLR1 protein has all the characteristics of a blue-light photoreceptor. The generation of subtractive cDNA libraries allowed us to identify novel, BLR independent, light responses including the regulation of gene expression by blue-light. In addition, we recently initiated a Trichoderma ESTs sequencing project. Until now, we have sequenced above 3000 ESTs, from which we have obtained approximately 1800 unigenes. This unigene set was printed in microarrays and used to search for light induced genes. Twenty five clearly induced and around thirty repressed genes have been detected.

Effect of EcAP consolidation temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-cu-Ti metallic glass reinforced aluminum matrix composite

Al;cu;Ti;metallic glass（AmG） reinforced Al matrix composites were consolidated by equal channel angular pressing（EcAP） process. The effects of EcAP consolidation temperature ranging from room temperature to just below the first crystallization temperature of metallic glass on the consolidation of composites were investigated in terms of the relative densities, structural evolutions and mechanical properties of composites. Some intermetallic compounds included Al;cuTi;, Al;Ti and Al;cu;precipitated from metallic glass particles at consolidation temperature of 300?c. consolidation temperature did not affect the matrix grains size of the composite. Quantitative analysis revealed that the distribution of reinforcing particles was considerably dependent on consolidation temperature. Density of the composite was increased by increasing the consolidation temperature to 250?c. The composite consolidated at250?c through EcAP process, exhibited the best combination of yield strength and ductility of 184 mPa and 48%, respectively.

目的　认识新疆出血热（ＸＨＦ）病毒不同分离株基因区别的本质，从分子水平揭示其基因结构与功能的关系，寻找传播及流行的原因。方法　对１９６５年自我国首例病人及１９８４年自蜱分离的两株ＸＨＦ病毒进行了Ｓ基因片段的克隆测序和分析。结果　两株病毒核苷酸序列同源性为９６．７％，与已经发表的１９６８年分离自我国蜱（ＨＹ１３）和羊（Ｃ６８０３１）的两株病毒核苷酸序列同源性均较高（９６．７％～９９％）；与其它ＣＣＨＦ病毒相比Ｓ基因同源性为７７．４％～９２．７％。结论　计算机绘出的系统发生树状图显示我国分离的４株病毒形成一单个群体并进一步分为三组，提示流行源自我国。

Dynamic operation and control of power system is being increasingly done with the help of phasor measurement unit(PmU) based wide area monitoring and control system. The data communication requirements for the PmU based applications are well addressed by IEEE c37.118.2 standard. However, IEc 61850 is now becoming a leading standard for power utility automation needs. A new part of IEc 61850, IEc 61850-90-5, specifying the IEEE c37.118.1 based synchrophasors data transfer according to IEc 61850, will lead to IEc 61850-90-5 based PmU communication networks. A novel IEc 61850-90-5 compliant communication model of PmU is proposed in this paper. We also present a comparative performance analysis of the PmU communication networks supporting the new synchrophasor standard for data transfer, i.e. IEc61850-90-5, and the existing standard, i.e. IEEE c37.118.2, for end to end(ETE) delay requirements for a modified IEEE 30 bus test system.

In the framework of Strutinsky＇s approach, we calculated the shell and the residual pairing correction energies for 5569 even-even nuclei in the range 72 ≤ Z ≤ 282 and 96≤N ≤ 540. Quasi-magic numbers and deformed islands of stability that reside in a range defined by Green＇s formula and the two-neutrons drip line are introduced. We present 36 quasi-magic proton and 53 quasi-magic neutron magic numbers that contribute to the formation of 133 deformed islands of stability along the N-Z space. The quasi-magic proton and neutron magic numbers volatile as the mass number increases and other magic numbers take over. consequently, the deformed islands of stability fail to exhibit a pattern along the search space covered.
