Electrocatalytic depolymerization of lignin into value-added chemicals offers a promising technique to make biorefining ***,we report a robust trimetallic PdNiBi electrocatalyst for reductive C–O bond cleavage of different lignin model dimers and oxidized lignin under mild *** reduction reaction proceeds with complete substrate conversion and excellent yields toward monomers of phenols(80%–99%)and acetophenones(75%–96%)in the presence of an ionic liquid electrolyte with operational *** experimental investigations together with density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the outstanding performance of the catalyst results from the synergistic effect of the metal elements,which facilitates the easier formation of a key Cαradical intermediate and the facile desorption of the as-formed products at the *** results open up new opportunities for lignin valorization through the green electrocatalytic approach.

The potential of monitoring the movement of typhoons using the precipitable water vapor(PWV) has been confirmed. However, monitoring the movement of typhoon is focused on PWV, making it difficult to describe the movement of a typhoon in detail minutely and resulting in insufficient accuracy. Hence,based on PWV and meteorological data, we propose an improved typhoon monitoring mode. First, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis 5-derived PWV(ERA5-PWV) and the Global Navigation Satellite System-derived PWV(GNSS-PWV) were compared with the reference radiosonde PWV(RS-PWV). Then, using the PWV and atmospheric parameters derived from ERA5, we discussed the anomalous variations of PWV, pressure(P), precipitation, and wind speed during different typhoons. Finally, we compiled a list of critical factors related to typhoon movement, PWV and P. We developed an improved multi-factor typhoon monitoring mode(IMTM) with different models(i.e.,IMTM-I and IMTM-II) in different cases with a higher density of GNSS observation or only Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP) data. The IMTM was evaluated through the reference movement speeds of HATO and Mangkhut from the China Meteorological Observatory Typhoon Network(CMOTN). The results show that the root mean square(RMS) of the IMTM-I is 1.26 km/h based on ERA5-P and ERA5-PWV,and the absolute bias values are mostly within 2 km/h. Compared with the models considering the single factor ERA5-P/ERA5-PWV, the RMS of the IMTM-I is improved by 26.3% and 38.5%, respectively. The IMTM-II model manifests a residual of only 0.35 km/h. Compared with the single-factor model based on GNSS-PWV/P, the residual of the IMTM-II model is reduced by 90.8% and 84.1%, respectively. These results propose that the typhoon movement monitoring approach combining PWV and P has evident advantages over the single-factor model and is expected to supplement traditional typhoon monitoring.

The ammonia decomposition for the production of carbon-free hydrogen has triggered great attention yet still remains challenging due to its sluggish kinetics,posting the importance of precise design of efficient catalysts for ammonia decomposition under low *** the metal-support interaction and interface is one of the most important strategies for promoting *** this work,by coating ceria onto the Ni nanoparticles(NPs),we discover that the Ni-CeO2 interfaces create an exceptional effect to enhance the catalytic decomposition of ammonia by over 10 folds,compared with the pristine *** kinetic analysis demonstrates that the recombinative N2 desorption is the rate-determining step(RDS)and the Ni-CeO2 interface greatly increases the *** on these understandings,a strategy to fabricate the Ni/CeO2 catalyst with abundant Ni-Ce-O in-terfaces via one-pot sol-gel method was employed(hereafter denoted to s-Ni/CeC2).The s-Ni/CeO2 catalyst shows a high activity for ammonia decomposition,achieving a H2 formation rate of 10.5 mmol gcat1 min-1 at 550 ℃.Combined with a series of characterizations,the relationship between the catalyst structure and the performance was investigated for further understanding the effect of metal-oxide interfaces.

Because homology on compact homogeneous nilpotent manifolds is closely related to homology on Lie algebras, studying homology on Lie algebras is helpful for further studying homology on compact homogeneous nilpotent manifolds. So we start with the differential sequence of Lie algebras. The Lie algebra g has the differential sequence E0,E1,⋯,Es⋯, which leads to the chain complex Es0→Δs0Ess→Δs1⋯→ΔsiEs(i+1)s→Δsi+1⋯of Esby discussing the chain complex E10→Δ10E11→Δ11⋯→Δ1r−1E1r→Δ1r⋯of E1and proves that Es+1i≅Hi(Es)=KerΔsi+1/ImΔsiand therefore Es+1≅H(Es)by the chain complex of Es(see Theorem 2).

Let Abe the linear transformation on the linear space V in the field P, Vλibe the root subspace corresponding to the characteristic polynomial of the eigenvalue λi, and Wλibe the root subspace corresponding to the minimum polynomial of λi. Consider the problem of whether Vλiand Wλiare equal under the condition that the characteristic polynomial of Ahas the same eigenvalue as the minimum polynomial (see Theorem 1, 2). This article uses the method of mutual inclusion to prove that Vλi=Wλi. Compared to previous studies and proofs, the results of this research can be directly cited in related works. For instance, they can be directly cited in Daoji Meng’s book “Introduction to Differential Geometry.”
