Optimized operation of cascade reservoirs on Wujiang River during 2009-2010 drought in southwest China

The effects of optimized operation principles implemented at reservoirs on the Wujiang River in southwest China between September 2009 and April 2010 under drought conditions were analyzed based on operational data collected from the Guizhou Wujiang Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. A set of linear regression equations was developed to identify the key factors impacting the electric power generation at reservoirs. A 59% reduction in the inflow discharge at the Hongjiadu Reservoir led to a decrease of only 38% in the total electric power generation at the Hongjiadu, Dongfeng, Suofengying, and Wujiangdu reservoirs on the Wujiang River, indicating that optimized operation can play an important role in drought management. The water level and the amount of other water inputs at the Hongjiadu Reservoir and the outflow discharge at all of the reservoirs except the Wujiangdu Reservoir were key factors affecting the total electric power generation at reservoirs on the Wujiang River under optimized operation.

The tacticity of vinyl polymers is a key factor affecting the properties of ***,organic Brønsted acids have been demonstrated as effective catalysts for the development of highly stereoselective cationic reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)polymerizations of vinyl ethers,in which the use of RAFT agents could allow the control the molecular weight and tacticity of polymer products ***,the effect of RAFT agents on the tacticity-regulation remains elusive and lacks of *** this study,we synthesized four types of RAFT agents and evaluated their influence in the stereoselective cationic polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether in the presence of PADI as a Brønsted acid catalyst,which unveils that the Z group of RAFT agents could not only affect the polydispersity of the products,but also exert a profound effect on the *** extensive screening of the RAFT agents,high stereoregularity(isotacticity,90%m)was obtained when using dithiocarbonate ester-type RAFT agents with a benzyloxy Z group.

Endoscopic cervical foraminotomy is increasingly used for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR),but there is great concern about radiation exposure because of the heavy dependence of this surgical method on *** objective of this study was to introduce in detail an advanced surgical technique of keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach as a treatment for CSR and investigate its clinical *** retrospectively reviewed 33 consecutive patients with CSR who underwent keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach from October 2015 to April *** patients’general characteristics,including operative time,blood loss,hospital stay,complications,and recurrence,were *** outcomes were evaluated using the visual analogue scale(VAS)for radicular pain,the neck disability index(NDI)for functional assessment,and the modified MacNab criteria for patient *** operations were successfully performed(mean operation time,62 min),with no measurable blood loss or severe related *** mean follow-up was 25 *** VAS and NDI scores were significantly improved as compared with those in the preoperative period(preoperative *** follow-up:7.6±1.6 vs.3.83±7.34 for VAS,P<0.01;69.5%±10.5%vs.17.54%±13.40%for NDI,P<0.01).Of the 33 patients,32(97.0%)had good-to-excellent global outcomes and all patients obtained symptomatic *** conclusion,keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach is an efficient,safe,and feasible procedure for the treatment of *** simplified single-step blunt incision for localization appears to decrease radiation exposure risks.

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of selenium(Se) source and level on growth performance, carcass traits, antioxidative ability and meat quality of broilers. A total of 320 one-d-old Arbor Acres commercial broilers were randomly assigned to 1 of 5 treatments with 8 replicates in a completely randomized design involving a 2×2 factorial arrangement of treatments plus one Se-unsupplemented basal diet control for 42 d. The two Se sources were sodium selenite and Se yeast, and the two supplemental Se levels were 0.20 and 0.40 mg Se kg^–1. The results showed that broilers fed the Se-supplemented diets had higher(P<0.05) average daily gain and average daily feed intake from 22 to 42 d of age, eviscerated yield and abdominal fat percentages, Se concentrations and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) activities in breast and thigh muscles on d 42, and lower(P<0.05) feed/gain from 1 to 21 and 22 to 42 d of age, mortality from 22 to 42 d of age and malondialdehyde(MDA) concentration in thigh muscle on d 42 than those fed the control diet. Broilers fed the diets supplemented with Se yeast had higher(P<0.05) p H value and lower(P<0.05) shear force in thigh muscle than those fed the diets supplemented with sodium selenite. Additionally, broilers fed the diets supplemented with 0.40 mg Se kg^–1 had lower(P<0.05) shear force in thigh muscle and higher(P<0.05) GSH-Px activities in breast and thigh muscles than those fed the diets supplemented with 0.20 mg Se kg^–1. Furthermore, broilers fed the diet supplemented with Se yeast at 0.40 mg Se kg^–1 had higher(P<0.05) Se concentrations in breast and thigh muscles than those fed the diet supplemented with Se yeast at 0.20 mg Se kg^–1, but no differences(P<0.05) were observed in these indices of broilers fed the diets supplemented with sodium selenite between 0.20 and 0.40 mg Se kg^–1. Increasing evidence has revealed that maternal cytomegalovirus （CMV） infection may be associated with neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring. Potential relevance between the placental inflammation and CMV-related autism has been reported by clinical observation. Meanwhile, abnormal expression of Toll-like receptor 2 （TLR2） and TLR4 in placenta of patients with chorioamnionitis was observed in multiple studies. IL-6 and IL- 10 are two important maternal inflammatory mediators involved in neurodevelopmental disorders. To investigate whether murine CMV （MCMV） infection causes alterations in placental IL-6/10 and TLR2/4 levels, we analyzed the dynamic changes in gene expression of TLR2/4 and IL-6/10 in placentas following acute MCMV infection. Mouse model of acute MCMV infection during pregnancy was created, and pre-pregnant MCMV infected, lipopolysaccharide （LPS）-treated and uninfected mice were used as controls. At E13.5, E 14.5 and E 18.5, placentas and fetal brains were harvested and mRNA expression levels of placental TLR2/4 and IL-6/10 were analyzed. The results showed that after acute MCMV infection, the expression levels of placental TLR2/4 and IL-6 were elevated at E13.5, accompanied by obvious placental inflammation and reduction of placenta and fetal brain weights. However, LPS 50 ktg/kg could decrease the IL-6 expression at E13.5 and E14.5. This suggests that acute MCMV infection during pregnancy could up-regulate the gene expression of TLR2/4 in placental trophoblasts and activate them to produce more pro- inflammatory cytokine IL-6. High dose of LPS stimulation （50 gg/kg） during pregnancy can lead to down-regulation of IL-6 levels in the late stage. Imbalance of IL-6 expression in placenta might be associated with the neurodevelopmental disorders in progeny.

为优化用于监测光伏板覆冰厚度的叉指电极式传感器结构参数,增大传感器覆冰监测性能指标,提出了一种考虑多因素共同作用的正交试验设计方法。通过comsol有限元仿真软件建立了一种处于覆冰状态的3D叉指电极模型,并使用三维有限元法,对叉指电极的金属化因子、叉指间距、叉指长度和叉指对数进行单因素仿真分析和多因素作用正交试验。选取上述四个参数为优化变量,以电极电容值、灵敏度和最大探测深度作为性能评判指标,得到了四种结构参数对电极性能影响主次关系以及电极结构参数最佳正交优化组合,并将电极结构参数优化前后进行覆冰性能对比。结果表明,电极最佳参数组合为电极金属化因子0.6、叉指间距0.3 mm、叉指对数12对、叉指长度80 mm,电极电容值增加87.25%、电极灵敏度增加98.6%、电极探测深度增加2.3%、电极尺寸减少24.7%。该方法能够有效提升叉指电极在覆冰监测中的性能。

Sn-based materials are considered as a kind of potential anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high theoretical ***,their use is limited by large volume expansion deriving from the lithiation/delithiation *** this work,amorphous Sn modified nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets(ASnNPCNs)are *** synergistic effect of amorphous Sn and high edge-nitrogendoped level porous carbon nanosheets provides ASn-NPCNs with multiple advantages containing abundant defect sites,high specific surface area(214.9 m^(2)·g^(−1)),and rich hierarchical pores,which can promote the lithium-ion *** as the LIB anode,the as-prepared ASn-NPCNs-750 electrode exhibits an ultrahigh capacity of 1643 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1),ultrafast rate performance of 490 mAh·g^(−1) at 10 A·g^(−1),and superior long-term cycling performance of 988 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1) after 2000 cycles with a capacity retention of 98.9%.Furthermore,the in-depth electrochemical kinetic test confirms that the ultrahigh-capacity and fast-charging performance of the ASn-NPCNs750 electrode is ascribed to the rapid capacitive *** impressive results indicate that ASn-NPCNs-750 can be a potential anode material for high-capacity and fast-charging LIBs.
