Cellular metabolism is the fundamental process by which cells maintain growth and *** produces energy,furnishes raw materials,and intermedi-ates for biomolecule synthesis,and modulates enzyme activity to sustain normal cellular *** metabolism is the foundation of cellular life processes and plays a regulatory role in various biological functions,including pro-grammed cell *** is a recently discovered form of iron-dependent programmed cell *** inhibition of ferroptosis plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis and tumor ***,the role of cellular metabolism,particularly glucose and amino acid metabolism,in cancer ferroptosis is not well ***,we reviewed glucose,lipid,amino acid,iron and sele-nium metabolism involvement in cancer cell ferroptosis to elucidate the impact of different metabolic pathways on this ***,we provided a detailed overview of agents used to induce cancer *** explained that the metabolism of tumor cells plays a crucial role in maintaining intracellu-lar redox homeostasis and that disrupting the normal metabolic processes in these cells renders them more susceptible to iron-induced cell death,resulting in enhanced tumor cell *** combination of ferroptosis inducers and cel-lular metabolism inhibitors may be a novel approach to future cancer therapy and an important strategy to advance the development of treatments.

The high-waxy condensate in the Qianmiqiao Ordovician burial-hill zone, Bohai Gulf Basin, North China has been investigated by way of high temperature gas chromatography. As high-mature oil, its high molecular weight wax fraction is mainly composed of C35—C69 n-alkanes with CPI37—55 values of 0.94—1.10. On conditions that core-drilling of source rocks was limited and the exact location of source kitchen is still uncertain in the region, it is inferred that the ori-entation of main source kitchen for the condensate should be on the east of the burial-hill zone, i.e. from the direction of Qikou Sag, according to oil-oil correlation between the condensate and surrounding high-waxy oils as well as lateral distribution of the wax content of crude oils. In addi-tion, it is also further confirmed that the oil filling direction for this condensate reservoir is from NE to SW, i.e. from wells BS-4, through BS-7, to BS-8 based on the analyses of 9 maturity and 3 pyrrolic N-compound parameters.

Objective: BPI fold containing family B member1(BPIFB1, previously termed LPLUNC1), a secreted protein highly expressed in nasopharynx, is significantly down-regulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC). Thus, we investigated whether the downregulated BPIFB1 expression is associated with the prognosis of NPC. Considering that metastasis represents the primary cause of death in these patients, here we explored the role of BPIFB1 in NPC migration and invasion. Methods: The expression and clinical associations of BPIFB1 in NPC tissues were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. The effect of BPIFB1 on NPC metastasis was investigated in vitro and in vivo. A co-IP assay coupled with mass spectrometry approach was used to identified BPIFB1 binding proteins. To investigate whether BPIFB1 inhibit metastasis by interacting with vitronectin(VTN) and vimentin(VIM), we used western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry analysises to assess the underlying molecular mechanisms. Results: Little or no BPIFB1 expression was detected in NPC tissues, and the levels of BPIFB1 expression in the NPC were associated positively with the survival of NPC patients. In vitro and in vivo experiments showed that re-expression of BPIFB1 markedly inhibited the migratory, invasive and lung metastasis capability of NPC cells. We identified two BPIFB1-interacting proteins, the cell adhesion protein VTN and the intermediate filament protein VIM. BPIFB1 could reduce the expression of VTN and the formation of a VTN-ITGAV complex in NPC cells, leading to inhibition of the FAK-SRC-ERK signaling pathway. It could also attenuate the migration and invasion of NPC by inhibiting the VTN-or VIM-induced EMT process of NPC cells. Conclusion: BPIFB1 expression is negatively correlated with the clinical stages of NPC, suggesting that the reduction in BPIFB1 expression constitutes a novel adverse prognostic factor in NPC. And this research represents the first demonstration of BPIFB1 function in NPC migration,

Long non-coding RNA AFAP1-AS1 accelerates lung cancer cells migration and invasion by interacting with SNIP1 to upregulate c-Myc

Cancer glucose metabolism reprogramming is an important feature of tumor cells. As the suppressor genes,LPLUNC1 play important anti-cancer effect in nasopharyngeal carcinoma via regulating PHB in our pervious study. This study explored the effect and mechanism of LPLUNC1 on glucose metabolism reprogramming in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Firstly, we determined the effects of LPLUNC1 and PHB1 on nasopharyngeal carcinoma via glucose metabolism by Seahorse assay. We further determined how LPLUNC1 regulated the nuclear localization of PHB1 to affect the expression of p53 and c-Myc via co-immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and other assays. We found that LPLUNC1 and PHB1 inhibited aerobic glycolysis and promoted oxidative ***1 not only up-regulated the expression of PHB1, also regulated the nuclear localization of PHB1 via 14-3-3σ to regulate the expression and distribution of some nuclear transcription factors,such as p53 and c-Myc. Evidently, activation of the LPLUNC1-PHB1-p53/c-Myc axis inhibited the aerobic glycolysis and promoted oxidative phosphorylation. ATRA can induce the activation of LPLUNC1-PHB1-p53/c-Myc axis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, regulate the reprogramming of glucose metabolism and inhibit the proliferation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Our study indicate that the LPLUNC1-PHB1-p53/c-Myc axis inhibit the progression by inhibiting aerobic glycolysis and promoted oxidative phosphorylation and uncover that new therapeutic targets of ATRA in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
