Theoretical and experimental investigations on single-atom catalysis:Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) for water-gas shift reaction

Oxide-supported metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)have exhibited excellent catalytic performance for water-gas shift(WGS)***,we report the single-atom catalyst Pt1/FeOx exhibits excellent medium temperature catalytic performance for WGS reactions by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental *** calculations indicate that H_(2)O molecules are easily dissociated at oxygen vacancies,and the formed*OH and*O are adsorbed on Pt1 single atoms and the adjacent O atoms,*** studying four possible reaction mechanisms,it is found that the optimal WGS reaction pathway is proceeded along the carboxyl mechanism(pathway III),in which the formation of*COOH intermediates can promote the stability of Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC and the easier occurrence of WGS *** energy barrier of the rate-determining step during the entire reaction cycle is only 1.16 eV,showing the high activity for the medium temperature WGS reaction on Pt_(1)/FeO_(x) SAC,which was verified by experimental ***,the calculated turnover frequencies(TOFs)of CO_(2)and H_(2)formation on Pt1/FeOx at 610 K(337℃)can reach up to 1.14×10^(-3)s^(-1)·site^(-1)through carboxyl *** this work,we further expand the application potential of Pt1/FeOx SAC in WGS reaction.

Porous carbonate reservoirs,prevalent in the Middle east,are lithologically dominated by bioclastic limestones,exhibiting high porosity,low permeability,intricate pore structure,and strong *** through horizontal wells is commonly used for exploiting these ***,challenges persist,such as significant uncertainty and complex operational procedures regarding adjustment effects during the *** USH reservoir of the Cretaceous D oilfield,Oman exemplifies typical porous carbonate *** initially underwent depletion drive using vertical wells,followed by horizontal well waterflooding in the late ***,the oilfield is confronted with substantial developmental challenges,involving the understanding of residual oil distribution,effective water cut control,and sustaining oil production since it has entered the late development *** a microscopic visualization displacement system equipped with electrodes,this study elucidated the waterflooding mechanisms and residual oil distribution in the late-stage development of the USH *** results reveal that the reservoir's vertical stacking patterns act as the main factor affecting the horizontal well waterflooding *** water flow channels emerge under varying reservoir stacking patterns,with post-waterflooding residual oil predominantly distributed at the reservoir's top and *** oil recovery can be enhanced by adjusting the waterflooding's flow line and *** findings of this study will provide theoretical insights of waterflooding mechanisms and injection-production adjustments for exploiting other porous carbonate reservoirs in the Middle east through horizontal wells.

Simulating the total ionizing dose(TID)of an electrical system using transistor-level models can be difficult and expensive,particularly for digital-integrated circuits(ICs).In this study,a method for modeling TID effects in complementary metaloxide semiconductor(CMOS)digital ICs based on the input/output buffer information specification(IBIS)was *** digital IC was first divided into three parts based on its internal structure:the input buffer,output buffer,and functional *** of these three parts was separately *** the IBIS model,the transistor V-I characteristic curves of the buffers were processed,and the physical parameters were extracted and modeled using *** the functional area,logic functions were modeled in VHDL according to the data sheet.A golden digital IC model was developed by combining the input buffer,output buffer,and functional area ***,the golden ratio was reconstructed based on TID experimental data,enabling the assessment of TID effects on the threshold voltage,carrier mobility,and time series of the digital *** experiments were conducted using a CMOS non-inverting multiplexer,NC7SZ157,and the results were compared with the simulation results,which showed that the relative errors were less than 2%at each dose *** confirms the practicality and accuracy of the proposed modeling *** TID effect model for digital ICs developed using this modeling technique includes both the logical function of the IC and changes in electrical properties and functional degradation impacted by TID,which has potential applications in the design of radiation-hardening tolerance in digital ICs.

BACKGROUND The clinical incidence of spinal infection is gradually increasing,and its onset is insidious,easily leading to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis,which may lead to serious complications such as nervous system dysfunction,spinal instability and/or deformity,and cause a huge burden on society and *** identification of the causative agent and precision medicine will greatly reduce the suffering of *** present,the main pathogenic bacteria that cause spinal infection are Staphylococcus aureus,Streptococcus,Pneumococcus,escherichia coli,and *** are no reports of spinal infection caused by Pseudomonas *** SUMMARY We report a 32-year-old female patient with spinal *** presented with flank pain,initially thought to be bone metastases or bone tuberculosis,and had a family background of *** clinical features and changes in imaging and laboratory tests led to the suspicion of thoracic spine *** of the lesion showed inflammation,tissue culture of the lesion was negative several times,and the possible pathogen-Pseudomonas fluorescens was found after gene sequencing of the *** patient recovered completely after a full course of antibiotic *** This report increases the range of pathogens involved in spinal infections,highlights the unique advantages of gene sequencing technology in difficult-todiagnose diseases,and validates conservative treatment with a full course of antibiotics for spinal infections without complications.

A promising method for the preparation of pure metallic vanadium via V_(2)CO anode electrolysis was proposed and *** simple and controllable synthesis of a molten chloride salt containing VCl_(2) by an insitu reaction between VCl_(3) and metallic vanadium was verified through thermodynamic analysis and ***-KCl-VCl_(2) molten salt exhibited excellent recycling performance and could be repetitively used to prepare metallic vanadium by V_(2)CO *** V^(2+) ions remained in the molten salt after *** electrolysis conditions,such as the cathode diameter,current density,V^(2+) ion concentration,and temperature,were optimised to maximise the current *** was also simulated to reveal the regulatory *** highest current efficiency was 85%.The purity of metallic vanadium was up to 99.8%.In this study,an easy and efficient preparation of pure metallic vanadium was achieved.

The electrocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)is a promising pathway to generate renewable fuels and ***,its advancement is impeded by the absence of electrocatalysts with both high selectivity and ***,we present a scalable in-situ thermal evaporation technique for synthesizing series of Bi,In,and Sn nanofilms on carbon felt(CF)substrates with a high-aspect-ratio *** resulting main-group metal nanofilms exhibit a homogeneously distributed and highly exposed catalyst surface with ample active sites,thereby promoting mass transport and ad-/desorption of reaction *** from the unique fractal morphology,the Bi nanofilms deposited on CF exhibit optimal catalytic activities for CO_(2)electroreduction among the designed metal nanofilms electrodes,with the highest Faradaic efficiency of 96.9%for formate production at−1.3 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHe)in *** an industrially relevant current density of 221.4 mA·cm−2 in flow cells,the Bi nanofilms retain a high Faradaic efficiency of 81.7%at−1.1 V(***)and a good long-term stability for formate ***,a techno-economic analysis(TeA)model shows the potential commercial viability of electrocatalytic CO_(2)conversion into formate using the Bi nanofilms *** results offer a green and convenient approach for in-situ fabrication of stable and inexpensive thin-film catalysts with a fractal structure applicable to various industrial settings.

A cutting-edge method known as photocatalytic antibacterial technology can effectively eliminate drug-resistant bacterial strains and boast a wide-ranging antimicrobial *** the study,a novel Ag NPs/TiO_(2)/PeG/PVP(ATPP)aerogel photocatalyst was synthesized by an electron beam in-situ radiation method using polyethylene glycol(PeG),polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),AgNO_(3),and TiO_(2)as raw *** was characterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and solid ultraviolet diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-Vis DRS).The results demonstrated that silver ions were reduced to silver nanoparticles by electron beam radiation *** the same time,the doping of silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)enhanced visible-light *** degradation rate of methylene blue(MB)on 5%(in mass)ATPP could reach 81%under visible light for 180 *** coli(***)and Staphylococcus aureus(***)were used as model bacteria to explore the antimi-crobial properties of ATPP by zone of the inhibition method,plate counting method and live/dead bacterial *** antibacterial experiments showed that the antibacterial effect of ATPP was ***,MTT assay and Hoechst33342/PI double staining were used to prove that the composite had good *** aerogel photocatalytic material has the potential to decrease microbial presence in both medical and environmental settings,making it a valuable tool for such applications.

Recent progress on the underlying biological mechanisms of healthy longevity has propelled the field from elucidating genetic modification of healthy longevity hallmarks to defining mechanisms of gut microbiota influencing it. Importantly, the role of gut microbiota in the healthy longevity of the host may provide unprecedented opportunities to decipher the plasticity of lifespan on a natural evolutionary scale and shed light on using microbiota-targeted strategies to promote healthy aging and combat age-related diseases. This review investigates how gut microbiota affects healthy longevity, focusing on the mechanisms through which gut microbiota modulates it. Specifically, we focused on the ability of gut microbiota to enhance the intestinal barrier integrity, provide protection from inflammaging, ameliorate nutrientsensing pathways, optimize mitochondrial function, and improve defense against age-related diseases, thus participating in enhancing longevity and healthspan.
