Excellent irradiation resistance is the basic property of nuclear materials to keep nuclear *** high-entropy design has great potential to improve the irradiation resistance of the nuclear materials,which has been proven in ***,whether or not high entropy can also improve the irradiation resistance of ceramics,especially the mechanism therein still needs to be *** this work,the irradiation and helium(He)behaviors of zirconium carbide(ZrC)-based high-entropy ceramics(HECs),i.e.,(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C,were investigated and compared with those of ZrC under 540 keV He ion irradiation with a dose of 1×10^(17) cm^(−2) at room temperature and subsequent *** ZrC and(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C maintain lattice integrity after irradiation,while the irradiation-induced lattice expansion is smaller in(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C(0.78%)with highly thermodynamic stability than that in ZrC(0.91%).After annealing at 800℃,ZrC exhibits the residual _(0.2)0%lattice expansion,while(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C shows only 0.10%.Full recovery of the lattice parameter(a)is achieved for both ceramics after annealing at 1500℃.In addition,the high entropy in the meantime brings about the favorable structural evolution phenomena including smaller He bubbles that are evenly distributed without abnormal coarsening or aggregation,segregation,and shorter and sparser *** excellent irradiation resistance is related to the high-entropy-induced phase stability,sluggish diffusion of defects,and stress dispersion along with the production of vacancies by valence *** present study indicates a high potential of high-entropy carbides in irradiation resistance applications.

Intelligence and perception are two operative technologies in 6G *** intelligent wireless network and information perception require a deep fusion of artificial intelligence(AI)and wireless communications in 6G ***,fusion is becoming a typical feature and key challenge of 6G wireless communication *** this paper,we focus on the critical issues and propose three application scenarios in 6G wireless ***,we first discuss the fusion of AI and 6G networks for the enhancement of 5G-advanced technology and future wireless communication ***,we introduce the wireless AI technology architecture with 6G multidimensional information perception,which includes the physical layer technology of multi-dimensional feature information perception,full spectrum fusion technology,and intelligent wireless resource *** discussion of key technologies for intelligent 6G wireless network networks is expected to provide a guideline for future research.

Neutrinos play an important role in stellar *** are produced by nuclear reactions or thermal *** the stellar evolution code Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics(MESA),we study stellar neutrino luminosity with different *** neutrino luminosities of stars with different initial masses at different evolutionary stages are *** find that the neutrino flux of a star with 1 M⊙ mass at an evolutionary age of 4.61×10^9 yr is consistent with that of the *** general,neutrinos are produced by nuclear reactions,and the neutrino luminosity of stars is about one or two magnitudes lower than the photo ***,neutrino luminosity can exceed photo luminosity during the helium flash which can occur for stars with a mass lower than 8 M⊙.Although the helium flash does not produce neutrinos,plasma decay,one of the thermal processes,can efficiently make neutrinos during this *** to the high mass-loss rate,a star with a mass of 9 M⊙ does not undergo the helium *** neutrinos mainly originate from nuclear reactions until the end of the AGB *** the end of the AGB stage,its neutrino luminosity results from plasma decay which is triggered by the gravitational energy release because of the stellar core contracting.

Plant architecture and leaf color are important factors influencing cotton fiber *** this study,based on genetic analysis,stem paraffin sectioning,and phytohormone treatments,we showed that the dwarf-red(DR)cotton mutant is a gibberellin-sensitive mutant caused by a mutation in a single dominant locus,designated *** bulked segregant analysis(BSA)and genotyping by target sequencing(GBTS)approaches,we located the causative mutation to a~197-kb genetic interval on chromosome A09 containing 25 annotated *** on gene annotation and expression changes between the mutant and normal plants,GH_A09G2280 was considered to be the best candidate gene responsible for the dwarf and red mutant phenotypes.A 2-nucleotide deletion was found in the coding region of GhDR/GH_A09G2280 in the DR mutant,which caused a frameshift and truncation of *** is a homolog of Arabidopsis AtBBX24,and encodes a B-box zinc finger *** frameshift deletion eliminated the C-terminal nuclear localization domain and the VP domain of GhDR,and altered its subcellular localization.A comparative transcriptome analysis demonstrated downregulation of the key genes involved in gibberellin biosynthesis and the signaling transduction network,as well as upregulation of the genes related to gibberellin degradation and the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway in the DR *** results of this study revealed the potential molecular basis by which plant architecture and anthocyanin accumulation are regulated in cotton.

Marsdenia tenacissima injection,a standard Marsdenia tenacissima extract(MTE),has been approved as an adjuvant therapeutic agent for various *** previous study showed that MTE inhibited the proliferation and metastasis of prostate cancer(PCa)***,the underlying mechanisms and active ingredients of MTE against PCa were not completely *** study revealed that MTE induced significant decreases in cell viability and clonal growth in PCa *** addition,MTE induced the apoptosis of DU145 cells by reducing the mitochondrial membrane potential and increasing the expression of Cleaved Caspase 3/7,Cyt c,and *** vivo,DU145 xenografted NOD-SCID mice treated with MTE showed significantly decreased tumor *** staining and Western blot confirmed the pro-apoptotic effects of *** pharmacology analysis collected 196 ingredients of MTE linked to 655 potential targets,and 709 PCa-associated targets were retrieved,from which 149 overlapped targets were screened *** enrichment analysis showed that the HIF-1,PI3K-AKT,and ErbB signaling pathways were closely related to tumor *** blot results confirmed that MTE increased the expression of p-AKT^(Ser473) and p-GSK3β^(Ser9),and decreased the expression of p-STAT3^(Tyr705) in vitro and in vivo.A total of 13 compounds in MTE were identified by HPLC-CAD-QTOF-MS/MS and UPLCQTOF-MS/*** docking analysis indicated that six compounds may interact with AKT,GSK3β,and *** conclusion,MTE induces the endogenous mitochondrial apoptosis of PCa by regulating the AKT/GSK3β/STAT3 signaling axis,resulting in inhibition of PCa growth in vitro and in vivo.

Controlled growth and photoconductive properties of hexagonal SnS2 nanoflakes with mesa-shaped atomic steps

We demonstrated the controlled growth of two-dimensional （2D） hexagonal tin disulfide （SnS2） nanoflakes with stacked monolayer atomic steps. The morphology was similar to flat-topped and step-sided mesa plateaus or step pyramids. The SnS2 nanoflakes were grown on mica substrates via an atmospheric-pressure chemical vapor deposition process using tin monosulfide and sulfur powder as precursors. Atomic force microscopy （AFM）, electron microscopy, and Raman characterizations were performed to investigate the structural features, and a sequential layer-wise epitaxial growth mechanism was revealed. In addition, systematic Raman characterizations were performed on individual SnS2 nanoflakes with a wide range of thicknesses （1-100 nm）, indicating that the A1g peak intensity and Raman shifts were closely related to the thickness of the SnS2 nanoflakes. Moreover, photoconductive AFM was performed on the monolayer-stepped SnS2 nanoflakes, revealing that the flat surface and the edges of the SnS2 atomic steps had different electrical conductive properties and photoconductive behaviors. This is ascribed to the dangling bonds and defects at the atomic step edges, which caused a height difference of the Schottky barriers formed at the interfaces between the PtIr-coated AFM tip and the step edges or the flat surface of the SnS2 nanoflakes. The 2D SnS2 crystals with regular monolayer atomic steps and fast photoresponsivity are promising for novel applications in photodetectors and integrated optoelectronic circuits.

Microstructure and graphitization behavior of diamond/SiC composites fabricated by vacuum vapor reactive infiltration

To inhibit the graphitization of diamond under high temperature and low pressure, diamond/SiC composites were firstly fabricated by a rapid gaseous Si vacuum reactive infiltration process. The microstructure and graphitization behavior of diamond in the composites under various infiltration temperatures and holding time were investigated. The thermal conductivity of the resul- tant materials was discussed. The results show that the diamond-to-graphite transition is effectively inhibited at temperature of as high as 1600 ℃ under vacuum, and the substantial graphitization starts at 1700 ℃. The microstructure of those ungraphitized samples is uniform and fully densified. The inhibition mechanisms of graphitization include the isolation of the catalysts from diamond by a series of protective layers, high pressure stress applied on diamond by the reaction-bonded SiC, and the moderate gas-solid reaction. For the graphitized samples, the boundary between diamond and SiC is coarse and loose. The graphitization mechanism is considered to be an initial detachment of the bilayers from the diamond surfaces, and subsequently flattening to form graphite. The ungraphitized samples present higher thermal conductivity of about 410 W.m-1.K-1 due to the fine interfacial structure. For the graphitized samples, the thermal conductivity decreases significantly to 285 W.m-1.K-1 as a result of high interfacial thermal resistance.
