In this study, soil column was used to study the new nitrification inhibitor 3,4-dimethylpyrazole phosphate (DMPP) on nitrate (NO3^-- N) and potassium (K) leaching in the sandy loam soil and clay loam soil. The results showed that DMPP with ammonium sulphate nitrate (ASN) ((NH4)2SO4 and NHaNO3) or urea could reduce NO3^--N leaching significantly, whereas ammonium (NH4^+-N) leaching increased slightly. In case of total N (NO3^--N+NH4^+-N), losses by leaching during the experimental period (40 d) were 37.93 mg (urea), 31.61 mg (urea+DMPP), 108.10 mg (ASN), 60.70 mg (ASN+DMPP) in the sandy loam soil, and 30.54 mg (urea), 21.05 mg (urea+DMPP), 37.86 mg (ASN), 31.09 mg (ASN+DMPP) in the clay loam soil, respectively. DMPP-amended soil led to the maintenance of relatively high levels of NH4^+ -N and low levels of NO3^--N in soil, and nitrification was slower. DMPP supplementation also resulted in less potassium leached, but the difference was not significant except the treatment of ASN and ASN+DMPP in the sandy loam soil. Above results indicate that DMPP is a good nitrification inhibitor, the efficiency of DMPP seems better in the sandy loam soil than in the clay loam soil and lasts longer.

Nine 5-aryl-2-methyloxazole derivatives were synthesized via gold-catalyzed alkyne oxidation. All of the compounds have been screened for their antiproliferative activities against MCF-7 cell (human breast carcinoma), A549 cell (human lung carcinoma) and Hela cell (human cervical carcinoma) lines in vitro. The results revealed that compounds 1b, 1c and 1d exhibited strong inhibitory activities against the MCF-7 cell lines (with ICso values of 4.6, 9.7 and 2.2 μmol/L, respectively).

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) spread widely in the environment are mainly removed by photochemical and anaerobic microbial degradation. In this paper, the decomposition of 4-bromodiphenyl ether (BDE -3), the PBDEs homologues, is investigated by electron beam irradiation of its ethanol/water solution (reduction system) and acetonitrile/water solution (oxidation system). The radiolytic products were determined by GC coupled with electron capture detector, and the reaction rate constant of esol– in the reduction system was measured at 2.7×1010 L·mol–1·s–1 by pulsed radiolysis. The results show that the BDE-3 concentration affects strongly the decomposition ratio in the alkali solution, and the reduction system has a higher BDE-3 decomposition rate than the oxidation system. This indicates that the BDE-3 was reduced by effectively capturing esol– in radiolytic process.

The mechanism and the design parameters of blasting with air-decking are studied. The theory of detonation waves is used to investigate the processes of the one-dimensional plane detonation wave within a borehole. The interac- tion of the rarefaction wave with an interface and reflection on a rigid wall is also analyzed. The same courses of the shock wave are also investigated. This decides the distribution of the pressure of the explosion products changing with time along the borehole. Based on the above theoretical analysis, two conditions should be met for a reasonable range of values of the air-decking ratio in blasting rock. First, the rarefaction wave from the contact interface between detonation products and air reaches the bottom earlier than that of the reflected shock wave from the end of the stemming. Second, the reflected shock wave reaches the contact interface between the detonation products and air earlier than that of the reflected rarefaction wave from the bottom of the borehole. Finally, the reasonable value of the air-decking ratio must be decided theoretically in air-decking blasting. For different explosives, the reasonable range of air-decking ratio varies from 0.15 to 0.4. This result is well consistent with what was obtained by previous researchers.

A doublely-doped layered double hydroxide(LDH)film was produced on an anodized magnesium alloy *** Ce-doped Mg-Al LDH film was prepared by in-situ hydrothermal treatment method,and the intercalation of vanadate was realized by ion-exchange *** structure,morphology and composition of as-prepared LDH film were investigated by X-ray diffractometer,field-emission scanning electronic microscope and energy dispersive *** indicated that a uniform and compact LDH film was formed and the intercalation of Ce^(3+)and vanadate would change the crystal structure of *** results of the potentiodynamic polarization,electrochemical impedance spectra,hydrogen evolution and corrosion weight loss tests showed the Ce^(3+)and vanadate anions significantly improve the impedance of LDH film,and the active double-doped LDH film could effectively protect the magnesium substrate from corrosion.
