Pricing Binary Variables of System-wide Constraints for Power System Optimization

With the trend of multiple energies or flexible demand in power systems,binary variables appear in systemwide constraints,which are the foundation of marginal pricing currently in *** appropriate pricing method incentivizes compliance of market participants;otherwise,compliance can be incentivized by paying discriminatory uplift payments which jeopardize transparency of *** paper proposes two theorems to examine whether the binary variables brought by multiple energies and flexible demand will impact compliance under marginal *** first theorem shows sufficient conditions with which marginal pricing with fixed binary variables incentivizes compliance,while the second theorem shows sufficient conditions to require uplift *** improve transparency by reducing uplift payments under cases which fall into the second theorem,this paper further proposes a pricing method by combining 1)designed constraints to price binary variables in system-wide constraints,and 2)convex hull pricing to price binary variables in private *** of the proposed theorems and pricing method is verified in an electricity-gas case(consisting of the IEEE 30-bus system and the NGS 10-node system)and the IEEE 118-bus test system.

A comparison of the toxicity of landfill leachate exposure at the seed soaking and germination stages on Zea mays L.(maize)

To compare the toxicity of landfill leachate exposure at the early stages of seed soaking and germination on maize,a field experiment was conducted to evaluate the physiological aspects of growth,yield and potential clastogenicity of root-tip cells. The maizes were treated with leachate at levels of 2%,10%,20%,30% or 50%（V/V）. First,the change of physiological indexes,including chlorophyll（Chl）,Malondialdehyde（MDA）and Reactive oxygen species（ROS）levels,combined with yield all showed that soaking with leachate,but not germination,generated a greater ecological risk on maize. After a soaking treatment of maize with 50% leachate,the Chl,MDA and ROS levels during a vigorous growth period were 47.3%,149.8% and 309.7%,respectively,of the control,whereas the yield decreased to 68.6% of the control. In addition,our results demonstrated that the leachate at lower levels could promote growth. This is mainly embodied in that the yield of maize treated with 10%leachate at the soaking stage increased to 116.0% of the control. Moreover,the cytological analysis experiment also demonstrated that the ecological risk of leachate still exists in both cases. Furthermore,the gray relational analysis showed that the ear row number and tassel branch number were the major factors affecting the yield of maize treated with 50%leachate at the stages of soaking and germination,respectively. In general,these results are helpful in understanding the phytotoxicity of leachate,which provides additional reference data for risk assessment and management of leachate.

Re-evaluation of thyroid hormone signaling antagonism of tetrabromobisphenol A for validating the T3-induced Xenopus metamorphosis assay

We developed the T3-induced Xenopus metamorphosis assay, which is supposed to be able to sensitively detect thyroid hormone（TH） signaling disruption of chemicals. The present study aimed to validate the T3-induced Xenopus metamorphosis assay by re-evaluating the TH signaling antagonism of tetrabromobisphenol A（TBBPA）, a known TH signaling disruptor. According to the assay we developed, Xenopus tadpoles at stage 52 were exposed to 10–500 nmol/L TBBPA in the presence of 1 nmol/L T3. After 96 hr of exposure, TBBPA in the range of 10–500 nmol/L was found to significantly inhibit T3-induced morphological changes of Xenopus tadpoles in a concentration-dependent manner in term of body weight and four morphological endpoints including head area（HA）, mouth width（MW）, unilateral brain width/brain length（ULBW/BL）, and hind-limb length/snout-vent length（HLL/SVL）.The results show that these endpoints we developed are sensitive for characterizing the antagonistic effects of TBBPA on T3-induced metamorphosis. Following a 24-hr exposure,we found that TBBPA antagonized expression of T3-induced TH-response genes in the tail,which is consistent with previous findings in the intestine. We propose that the tail can be used as an alternative tissue to the intestine for examining molecular endpoints for evaluating TH signaling disruption. In conclusion, our results demonstrate that the T3-induced Xenopus metamorphosis assay we developed is an ideal in vivo assay for detecting TH signaling disruption.

In situ IR study of dimethyl oxalate hydrogenation to ethylene glycol over Cu/SiO_2 catalyst

The mechanism of dimethyl oxalate hydrogenation to ethylene glycol over Cu/SiO2 catalyst was investigated by in situ Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy. It was found that dimethyl oxalate and methyl glycolate proceeded via dissociative adsorption on Cu/SiO2 catalyst, and four main intermediates, CH3OC（O）（O）C-M （1655 cm-1）, M-C（O）（O）C-M （1618 cm-1）, HOCH2（O）C--M （1682 cm-1） and CH3O-M （2924-2926 cm-1）, were identified during the reaction. It was concluded that dimethyl oxalate hydrogenation to ethylene glycol mainly proceeded along the route： dimethyl oxalate ／rightarrow CH3OC（O）（O）C-M → methyl glycolate →HOCH2（O）C-M → ethylene glycol. Finally a schematic reaction network was proposed.

Imputation of Mean of Ratios for Missing Data and Its Application to PPSWR Sampling

In practical survey sampling, nonresponse phenomenon is unavoidable. How to impute missing data is an important problem. There are several imputation methods in the literature. In this paper, the imputation method of the mean of ratios for missing data under uniform response is applied to the estimation of a finite population mean when the PPSWR sampling is used. The imputed estimator is valid under the corresponding response mechanism regardless of the model as well as under the ratio model regardless of the response mechanism. The approximately unbiased jackknife variance estimator is also presented. All of these results are extended to the case of non-uniform response. Simulation studies show the good performance of the proposed estimators.

Studies on Synthesis and Biological Activities of Novel Triazole Compounds Containing 1,3-Dioxolane

Nine title compounds were synthesized. Their strucures were identified by means of IR, EA, 1H NMR and MS. The results from the primary biological test show that all the compounds have some activitiies of fungicide and plant growth regulator. When R group is 2,4 Cl 2C 6H 3, compound 2 or compound 4 shows better biological activities.

该研究旨在建立和优化一种针对实验动物肺炎克雷伯杆菌(Klebsiella pneumoniae,KP)的TaqMan实时荧光定量PCR(quantitative polymerase chain reaction,qPCR)检测方法,以提高检测的灵敏度、特异性和准确性。通过文献调研和序列比对,选取了KP的phoE基因作为目标序列,设计并合成一对特异性引物和探针,对qPCR反应体系和退火温度进行了系统优化,采用梯度稀释法测定了该方法的线性范围、灵敏度和检测限。通过分析不同浓度标准品的qPCR曲线,评估了该方法的特异性和方法再现性。最后将该方法用于各种临床样品检测。优化后的qPCR方法显示出良好的线性关系,线性范围为2.7×10^(4)~8.64 copies/μL,线性回归方程为y=–3.83x+42.865,相关系数(R^(2))为0.992。检测限达到8.64 copies/μL,表明该方法具有较高的灵敏度。特异性实验结果表明,该方法仅对KP产生特异性扩增,与其他常见病原体无交叉反应。统计不同操作人员对检测极限样品的10个平行Ct值,结果显示,Ct值的相对标准偏差均低于2%,说明方法具有良好的再现性。共检测26份临床样本,有3份临床样本为阳性,其他均为阴性。本研究成功建立了一种高灵敏度、高特异性的KP qPCR检测方法,为实验动物中的KP感染提供了一种快速、准确的分子诊断工具。
