Organic electrochemical transistors have emerged as a solution for artificial synapses that mimic the neural functions of the brain structure,holding great potentials to break the bottleneck of von Neumann ***,current artificial synapses rely primarily on electrical signals,and little attention has been paid to the vital role of neurotransmitter-mediated artificial *** is a key neurotransmitter associated with emotion regulation and cognitive processes that needs to be monitored in real time to advance the development of disease diagnostics and *** provide insights into the development of artificial synapses with neurotransmitter involvement,this review proposes three steps towards future biomimic and bioinspired neuromorphic *** first summarize OECT-based dopamine detection devices,and then review advances in neurotransmitter-mediated artificial synapses and resultant advanced neuromorphic ***,by exploring the challenges and opportunities related to such neuromorphic systems,we provide a perspective on the future development of biomimetic and bioinspired neuromorphic systems.

Background Exogenous gonadotropin-controlled ovarian stimulation is the critical step in animal reproductive management,such as pig,sheep,bovine and other *** helps synchronize ovulation or stimulate multiple ***,a number of evidence indicated an unexpected decrease in pregnancy outcomes following ovarian *** study aimed to explore the underlying mechanism of the pregnancy defect and develop a practical rescue *** Compared with those in the control group,gilts that underwent ovarian stimulation showed a decrease in pregnancy rate,farrowing rate,and total number of piglets *** gilts also showed an increase in estra-diol(E_(2))*** supraphysiologicalE_(2) level was correlated with the decrease in the number of piglets ***,we found that high levels ofE_(2) impair uterine receptivity,as shown by the overproliferation of endo-metrial epithelial *** vitro mechanistic studies demonstrated that high levels ofE_(2) hyperactivate FGF-FGFR-ERK signaling cascade in the uterine endometrium,and in turn induces overproliferation of endometrial epithelial *** note,N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC)supplementation effectively inhibits ERK hyperphosphorylation and ameliorates endometrial epithelial ***,in vivo experiments indicated that dietary NAC supplementa-tion,compared with ovarian stimulation group,improves the uterine receptivity in gilts,and significantly increases the pregnancy rate and total number of piglets *** Ovarian stimulation-induced supraphysiological levels ofE_(2) impairs uterine receptivity by hyperactivat-ing FGF-FGFR-ERK signaling cascade,thereby reducing pregnancy rate and litter *** NAC to a con-ventional diet for gilts ameliorates hyperactivated ERK signaling and improves uterine receptivity,thus rescuing adverse pregnancy outcomes following ovarian stimulation.

Intrinsic stretchability is a promising attribute of polymer organic solar cells(OSCs).However,rigid molecular blocks typically exhibit poor tensile properties,rendering polymers vulnerable to mechanical *** this study,we introduce a different approach utilizing all-small-molecule donors and acceptors to fabricate stretchable *** elastomer,styrene-b-ethylene-butylene-styrene(SEBS),was embedded to modulate film crystallization and *** effectively confines the growth process of donors and acceptors,leading to enhancement of the crystallization quality,thus contributing to enhanced device ***,SEBS can absorb and release mechanical stress during stretching,thereby preventing mechanical degradation of donors and *** mechanical properties of the OSCs were significantly improved by the incorporation of ***,the crack-onset strain increased from 1.03% to 5.99% with SEBS *** findings present a straightforward strategy for achieving stretchable OSCs using all small molecules,offering a different perspective for realizing stretchable devices.

Heterogeneous oxidation by gas-phase oxidants is an important chemical transformation pathway of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)and plays an important role in controlling the abundance,properties,as well as climate and health impacts of ***,our knowledge on this heterogeneous chemistry remains *** this study,the heterogeneous oxidation ofα-pinene ozonolysis SOA by hydroxyl(OH)radicals was investigated under both low and high relative humidity(RH)conditions,with an emphasis on the evolution of molecular composition of SOA and its RH *** is found that the heterogeneous oxidation of SOA at an OH exposure level equivalent to 12 hr of atmospheric aging leads to particle mass loss of 60%at 25%RH and 95%at 90%*** heterogeneous oxidation strongly changes the molecular composition of *** dimer-to-monomer signal ratios increase dramatically with rising OH exposure,in particular under high RH conditions,suggesting that aerosol water stimulates the reaction of monomers with OH radicals more than that of *** addition,the typical SOA tracer compounds such as pinic acid,pinonic acid,hydroxy pinonic acid and dimer esters(e.g.,C17H26O8 and C19H28O7)have lifetimes of several hours against heterogeneous OH oxidation under typical atmospheric conditions,which highlights the need for the consideration of their heterogeneous loss in the estimation of monoterpene SOA concentrations using tracer-based *** study sheds lights on the heterogeneous oxidation chemistry ofmonoterpene SOA andwould help to understand their evolution and impacts in the atmosphere.

The gas explosion in residential building has always been a highly concerned *** in homogeneous mixtures have been extensively ***,mixtures are often inhomogeneous in the practical scenarios due to the differences in the densities of methane and *** order to investigate the effects of gas explosions in inhomogeneous mixtures,experimental studies involving gas leakage and explosion are conducted in a full-scale residential building to reproduce the process of gas *** fitting the dimensionless buoyancy as a function of dimensionless height and dimensionless time,a distribution model of gas in large-scale spaces is established,and the mechanism of inhomogeneous distribution of methane is also be ***,the stratified reconstruction method(SRM)is introduced for efficiently setting up inhomogeneous concentration fields in *** simulation results highlight that for the internal overpressure,the distribution of methane has no effect on the first overpressure peak(ΔP1),while it significantly influences the subsequent overpressure peak(ΔP2),and the maximum difference between the overpressure of homogeneous and inhomogeneous distribution is174.3%.Moreover,the initial concentration distribution also has a certain impact on the external overpressure.

In addition to being driven by tidal winds,the sporadic E(Es)layers are modulated by gravity waves(GWs),although the effects are not yet comprehensively *** this article,we discuss the effects of mesoscale GWs on the Es layers determined by using a newly developed model,MISE-1D(one-dimensional Model of Ionospheric Sporadic E),with low numerical dissipation and high *** by the wind fields resolved by the high-resolution version of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model with thermosphere and ionosphere extension(WACCM-X),the MISE-1D simulation revealed that GWs significantly influence the evolution of the Es layer above 100 km but have a very limited effect at lower *** effects of GWs are diverse and complex,generally including the generation of fluctuating wavelike structures on the Es layer with frequencies similar to those of the *** mesoscale GWs can also cause increases in the density of Es layers,or they can disperse or diffuse the Es layers and increase their *** addition,the presence of GWs is a key factor in sustaining the Es layers in some cases.

Mercury(Hg)pollution has been a global concern in recent decades,posing a significant threat to entire ecosystems and human health due to its cumulative toxicity,persistence,and transport in the *** intense interaction between mercury and selenium has opened up a new field for studying mercury removal from industrial flue gas *** the advantages of good Hg0 capture performance and lowsecondary pollution of the mineral selenium compounds,the most noteworthy is the relatively low regeneration temperature,allowing adsorbent regeneration with low energy consumption,thus reducing the utilization cost and enabling recovery of mercury *** paper reviews the recent progress of mineral selenium compounds in flue gas mercury removal,introduces in detail the different types ofmineral selenium compounds studied in the field ofmercury removal,reviews the adsorption performance of various mineral selenium compounds adsorbents on mercury and the influence of flue gas components,such as reaction temperature,air velocity,and other factors,and summarizes the adsorption mechanism of different fugitive forms of selenium *** on the current research progress,future studies should focus on the economic performance and the performance of different carriers and sizes of adsorbents for the removal of Hg0 and the correlation between the gas-particle flow characteristics and gas phase mass transfer with the performance of Hg0 removal in practical industrial *** addition,it remains a challenge to distinguish the oxidation and adsorption of Hg0 quantitatively.

Bisphenol compounds(BPs)have various industrial uses and can enter the environment through various *** evaluate the ecotoxicity of BPs and identify potential gene candidates involved in the plant toxicity,Arabidopsis thaliana was exposed to bisphenol A(BPA),BPB,BPE,BPF,and BPS at 1,3,10 mg/L for a duration of 14 days,and their growth status were *** day 14,roots and leaves were collected for internal BPs exposure concentration detection,RNA-seq(only roots),and morphological *** shown in the results,exposure to BPs significantly disturbed root elongation,exhibiting a trend of stimulation at low concentration and inhibition at high ***,BPs exhibited pronounced generation of reactive oxygen species,while none of the pollutants caused significant changes in root *** exposure concentration analysis indicated that BPs tended to accumulate in the roots,with BPS exhibiting the highest level of *** results of RNA-seq indicated that the shared 211 differently expressed genes(DEGs)of these 5 exposure groups were enriched in defense response,generation of precursormetabolites,response to organic substance,response to oxygen-containing,response to hormone,oxidation-reduction process and so *** unique DEGs in each group,BPS wasmainly associated with the redox pathway,BPB primarily influenced seed germination,and BPA,BPE and BPF were primarily involved in metabolic signaling *** results provide newinsights for BPs induced adverse effects on Arabidopsis thaliana and suggest that the ecological risks associated with BPA alternatives cannot be ignored.
