In this paper,a beamforming (BF) based cooperation scheme with decode-and-forward (DF) protocol is proposed and its performance analysis is ***,to solve the issue of carrier synchronization in distributed networks,a backward synchronization (B-Sync) method is introduced,where participating relays synchronize to the reference carrier broadcast by the destination and make signals superimposed coherently at the destination without any phase ***,based on B-sync,a cooperation scheme with DF protocol is proposed to carry out BF forwarding among *** outage probabi{1.ty of this scheme is derived and analyzed,which shows that the full diversity order can be achieved by the proposed ***,symbol error probabi{1.ty (SEP) analysis is presented to evaluate the practical *** results va{1.date the analysis,and show that the proposed scheme outperforms other existing ones in terms of outage probabi{1.ty and SEP.

In this paper, a new scheme based on relay selection and data forwarding in multi-relay cooperative networks is introduced. Un{1.ke most existing solutions focused on amp{1.fy-and-forward (AF) or decode-and-forward (DF) protocol separately, the proposed hybrid forward (HF) scheme takes advantage of both AF and DF protocols in relay forwarding. Based on theoretical analysis, a closed-form expression for the tight lower bound of its outage probabi{1.ty is derived, and further performance analysis is also presented. Then, in total power restricted networks, an optimal power allocation strategy between the source and the selected relay is developed to minimize the outage probabi{1.ty. Simulations are carried out finally, which va{1.date the analysis and show that the HF scheme outperforms other existing ones in terms of outage probabi{1.ty.

An efficient ranging method based on Chinese remainder theorem for RIPS measurement

The radio interferometric positioning system(RIPS) measures the phase difference of the interference signal to provide high accuracy and at the same time maintain simple hardware configuration for wireless sensor ***, it suffers from phase ambiguity problem because of the periodicity of phase, which makes it hard to determine the actual distance difference only from a single phase *** solve the problem, RIPS makes multiple measurements at different frequencies so as to determine the distance difference from multiple ***, this is a computationally intensive searching process and not suitable for energyconstrained wireless sensor *** this paper, we introduce the Chinese remainder theorem(CRT) to RIPS to solve the phase ambiguity ***, we utilize some properties of the coefficients in the CRT algorithm to avoid the over-sensitivity of the traditional CRT, which increases the robustness of the *** apply this robust CRT algorithm to the ranging process which calculates the distance difference directly from a closed-form equation and therefore reduces the response time and the energy consumption of the ranging procedure.

Fair relay selection in decode-and-forward cooperation based on outage priority

The opportunistic cooperation schemes,where only the "best" relay is selected to forward the message,have been widely investigated recently for their good performance in terms of outage ***,the unfair selections of relays may cause unbalance power consumptions among relays,which reduces the lifetime of energy constrained *** this paper,we introduce a novel concept of outage priority based fairness(OPF),aiming at improving the selection fairness among relays appropriately without outage performance ***,a cooperation scheme is proposed to meet this concept,and corresponding theoretical analysis is also ***,based on OPF,the achievable upper bound of the fairness is derived,and an optimal cross-layer designed scheme is also provided to achieve the *** simulations are carried out finally,which not only validate the theoretical analysis,but also show that taking advantages of the proposed schemes,the fairness among all relays,as well as the network lifetime,can be greatly improved without any loss of outage performance,especially in high SNR regime.
