Production of the C/TiO_(2)composite with a high-performance electrochemical property from titanium-rich sludge via in-situ C coating

Resource recycling from waste-water and sludge is an important part of the 14th Five-Year Plan in China.The emerging titanium-based coagulants have drawn growing attentions due to their strong coagulation capability in water purification and value-added Ti-loaded sludge production.Management and recovery of the high value-added sludge into functional nanomaterials is highly significant for both sludge reduction and environmental remediation.The present study was carried out to investigate the recycle of the coagulated Ti-loaded sludge to produce functional C/TiO_(2)composites as the anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(liBs).It is the first time that the application of the Ti-loaded wastewater sludge derived C/TiO_(2)was evaluated for liBs.The experimental results showed that the carbon coating through in-situ carbonization of the sludge produced the C/TiO_(2)composites with a high specific surface area,stable structural integrity,and excellent electrochemical properties that would facilitate li+diffusion in long-term liBs usage.The C/TiO_(2)composites calcinated from the polytitanium sulfate-coagulated sludge at 800℃(N_(2))exhibited the best electrochemical performance during the cycling tests(601 m Ah/g at 100 m A/g after 200 cycles).The research work demonstrates the promising prospect of the recycle and value-added utilization of the Ti-loaded sludge in the production of high-performance C/TiO_(2)composites for energy storage applications.This study provides a new way for the management and reuse of Ti-loaded waste-sludge.

Association of interpregnancy interval and risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes in woman by different previous gestational ages

Background:With an increasing proportion of multiparas,proper interpregnancy intervals(IPIs)are urgently needed.However,the association between IPIs and adverse perinatal outcomes has always been debated.This study aimed to explore the association between IPIs and adverse outcomes in different fertility policy periods and for different previous gestational ages.Methods:We used individual data from China’s National Maternal Near Miss Surveillance System between 2014 and 2019.Multivariable Poisson models with restricted cubic splines were used.Each adverse outcome was analyzed separately in the overall model and stratified models.The stratified models included different categories of fertility policy periods(2014-2015,2016-2017,and 2018-2019)and infant gestational age in previous pregnancy(livery[VD]and 1.10[1.03,1.19]for cesarean section[CS]),low Apgar scores and small for gestational age(SGA),and a decreased risk of diabetes mellitus in pregnancy,preeclampsia or eclampsia,and gestational hypertension.A long IPI(≥60 months)was associated with an increased risk of preterm birth(OR[95%CI]:1.18[1.11,1.26]for VD and 1.39[1.32,1.47]for CS),placenta previa,postpartum hemorrhage,diabetes mellitus in pregnancy,preeclampsia or eclampsia,and gestational hypertension.Fertility policy changes had little effect on the association of IPIs and adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes.The estimated risk of preterm birth,low Apgar scores,SGA,diabetes mellitus in pregnancy,and gestational hypertension was more profound among women with previous term births than among those with preterm births or pregnancy loss.Conclusion:For pregnant women with shorter or longer IPIs,more targeted health care measures during pregnancy should be formulated according to infant gestational age in previous pregnancy.

The biochemical behavior and mechanism of uranium(Ⅵ)bioreduction induced by natural Bacillus thuringiensis

For a broader understanding of uranium migration affected by microorganisms in natural anaerobic environment,the bioreduction of uranium(Ⅵ)(U(Ⅵ))was revealed in Bacillus thuringiensis,a dominant bacterium strain with potential of uranium-tolerant isolated from uranium contaminated soil.The reduction behavior was systematically investigated by the quantitative analysis of U(Ⅳ)in bacteria,and mechanism was inferred from the pathway of electron transmission.Under anaerobic conditions,appropriate biomass and sodium lactate as electron donor,reduction behavior of U(Ⅵ)induced by B.thuringiensis was restricted by the activity of lactate dehydrogenase,which was directly affected by the initial pH,temperature and initial U(Ⅵ)concentration of bioreduction system.Bioreduction of U(Ⅵ)was driven by the generation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)from enzymatic reaction of sodium lactate with various dehydrogenase.The transmission of the electrons from bacteria to U(Ⅵ)was mainly supported by the intracellular NADH dehydrogenase-ubiquinone system,this process could maintain the biological activity of cells.

Plasmonic metal nanomaterials with intrinsic surface–enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)and photothermal properties,especially AuAg nanoalloys with both the outstanding merits of Au and Ag nanocrystals,show huge application prospects in bacterial theranostics.However,the direct exposure of AuAg nanoalloys in external conditions probably cause undesirable reactions and poisonous metal ion leakage during SERS detection and photothermal antibacterial therapy process,which severely hinder bacterial theranostics applications.Herein,we report an ultrastable graphene–isolated AuAg nanoalloy(GAA)with AuAg core confined in few–layer graphitic shell as a versatile platform for bacterial detection and therapy.The encapsulation of graphene ensures the good stability of AuAg core,that its superior SERS and photothermal properties are therefore further guaranteed.GAA is used for SERS detection of two vital bacterial biomarkers(including corrosive cyanide and pyocyanin),exhibiting good SERS quantitative and multiplexing ability.GAA is further used for photothermal antibacterial therapy application,and ultrahigh antibacterial efficacies for both Gram–negative Escherichia coli and Gram–positive Staphylococcus aureus are achieved under 808 nm laser irradiation.This work proposes a valuable method to develop robust bacterial theranostic platform.

Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)manifests great potential in developing high-performance,environmentally friendly,solution-processable photodetectors(PDs).However,due to the relatively large energy bandgap,the spectrum responses of Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PDs are limited to the ultraviolet and visible region with wavelengths shorter than 560 nm.In this work,a broadband Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD covering the ultraviolet,visible,and near infrared(NIR)range is demonstrated by incorporating titanium nitride(TiN)nanoparticles that are prepared with the assistance of self-assembled polystyrene sphere array.In addition,an atomically thick Al2O3layer is introduced at the interface between the Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)film and TiN nanoparticles to alleviate the dark current deterioration caused by nanoparticle incorporation.As a result,beyond the spectrum range where Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)absorbs light,the external quantum efficiency(EQE)of the TiN nanoparticle incorporated Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6)PD is enhanced significantly compared with that of the control,displaying enhancement factors as high as 2000 over a broadband NIR wavelength range.The demonstrated enhancement in EQE arises from the photocurrent contribution of plasmonic hot holes injected from TiN nanoparticles into Cs_(2)AgBiBr_(6).This work promotes the development of broadband solution-processable perovskite PDs,providing a promising strategy for realizing photodetection in the NIR region.

Hunting the Datable Garnet using the LA-ICP-MS U-Pb Method:Predicting Garnet U Concentration,based on Major and Minor Elements

Garnet occurs in a wide range of rock types,from mantle peridotites to granites,from eclogites to skarns.In recent years,garnet LA-ICP-MS(Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry)U-Pb dating has provided a powerful solution for retrieving the ages of rock formations,but successful dating is often prohibited by the low concentration of U.However,the concentration of U,a trace element of garnet,is unknown prior to the LA-ICP-MS analysis.In this study,we propose that the U concentration in garnet can be predicted by the contents of major and minor elements,which can be quantitatively obtained by EPMA(electron probe microanalysis).Using a supervised machine learning method(neural network),a model is trained to discriminate U-rich(>2 ppm)and U-poor(lidation shows that the model has an average accuracy of~92%and is a powerful tool in detecting datable U-rich garnet.To facilitate the use of the discriminator,it is programmed as a stand-alone Microsoft Excel spreadsheet(HighUGarnet)and users directly paste the molar proportions of garnet end members into it and obtain the discrimination result.

Hybrid rice(Oryza sativa)generally outperforms its inbred parents in yield and stress tolerance,a phenomenon termed heterosis,but the underlying mechanism is not completely understood.Here,we combined transcriptome,proteome,physiological,and heterosis analyses to examine the salt response of super hybrid rice Chaoyou1000(CY1000).In addition to surpassing the mean values for its two parents(mid-parent heterosis),CY1000 exhibited a higher reactive oxygen species scavenging ability than both its parents(over-parent heterosis or heterobeltiosis).Nonadditive expression and allele-specific gene expression assays showed that the glutathione S-transferase gene OsGSTU26 and the amino acid transporter gene OsAAT30 may have major roles in heterosis for salt tolerance,acting in an overdominant fashion in CY1000.Furthermore,we identified OsWRKY72 as a common transcription factor that binds and regulates OsGSTU26 and OsAAT30.The salt-sensitive phenotypes were associated with the OsWRKY72^(paternal)genotype or the OsAAT30^(maternal)genotype in core rice germplasm varieties.OsWRKY72^(paternal)specifically repressed the expression of OsGSTU26 under salt stress,leading to salinity sensitivity,while OsWRKY72^(maternal)specifically repressed OsAAT30,resulting in salinity tolerance.These results suggest that the OsWRKY72-OsAAT30/OsGSTU26 module may play an important role in heterosis for salt tolerance in an overdominant fashion in CY1000 hybrid rice,providing valuable clues to elucidate the mechanism of heterosis for salinity tolerance in hybrid rice.

针对传统故障定位方法无法应用于架空线-电缆混合直流线路的问题,提出了一种架空线-电缆混合直流线路的故障定位方法,该方法采用先确定故障点所在区段、后在区段中定位的原理。利用故障附加网络的直流分量定义了故障区段判别函数,通过该判别函数在不同区段发生故障时数值不同实现故障区段的判定。然后,分析了电磁时间反演理论在故障定位中的可行性,分析确定了故障特征谐波。利用线路两端特征谐波的电流行进波作为时间反演电路的电流源,设置与原线路拓扑结构镜像的线路,利用时间反演电流源与镜像线路构建时间反演电路。在此基础上,根据时间反演的能量聚焦特性列写故障区段内的故障定位方程并实现区段内故障定位。利用PSCAD/EMTDC搭建的电压源型换流器高压直流输电(VSC-HVDC)系统仿真证明了所提方法能实现线缆混合直流输电线路的故障定位。

科学系统推进中国政治学自主知识体系建构，应遵循知识体系建构的理论逻辑和历史逻辑。不同类型知识的“通约性”存在差异，不同情境下自主知识生产所要摆脱克服的限制性条件亦有所不同。以自主知识生产所要克服的限制性条件为考察视角，可见近代以来中国政治学自主知识体系建构的探索蕴含“国家独立自主”“学科自主”“理论自主”等三条主线。三条主线共同构成了中国政治学知识生产和理论创新的时代画卷。新时代背景下政治学自主知识体系建构，应以知识的实践性和超越性为核心，把握“本土”与“外来”；应以自主的自觉性和自为性为核心，平衡知识与权力；应以知识体系建构的绵延性为视角，融通历史与现在，以期在中国式现代化的历史进程中建构起更具解释力、穿透力和包容性的政治学自主知识体系。
