The Nanwenghe Wetlands Reserve in the Yile'huli Mountains is a representative region of the Xing'an *** response of permafrost to climate change remains unclear due to limited field ***,longer-term responses of the ground thermal state to climate change since 201. have been monitored at four sites with varied surface characteristics:Carex tato wetland(P1.and *** wetland(P2)with a multi-year average temperatures at the depth of zero annual amplitude(T_(ZAA))of−0.52 and−1.19℃,respectively;Betula platyphylla-Larix gmelinii(Rupr.)Kuzen mixed forest(P3)with T_(ZAA) of 0.1.℃,and;the forest of ***(Rupr.)Kuzen(P4)with T_(ZAA) of 1.65℃.Continuous observations demonstrate that the ecosystem-protected Xing'an permafrost experienced a cooling under a warming *** temperature at the top of permafrost(TTOP)rose(1.8℃ per decade)but the TZAA declined(−0.1.℃ per decade),while the active layer thickness(ALT)thinned from 0.9 m in 201. to 0.8 m in 201. at *** the TTOP and TZAA increased(0.89 and 0.06℃ per decade,respectively),but the ALT thinned from 1.4 m in 201. to 0.7 m in 201. at *** detached permafrost at P3 disappeared in summer 201.,with warming rates of+0.42 and+0.1.℃ per decade for TTOP and T_(ZAA),***,up to date,the ground thermal state has remained stable at *** conclude that the thermal offset is crucial for the preservation and persistence of the Xing'an permafrost at the southern fringe.

Artemisinin (Qinghaosu), a sesquiterpene lactone isolated from the Chinese medicinal herb Artemisia annua, is famous as the first‐line antimalarial drug, and reported to also possess anticancer properties. Though many studies have proceeded focusing on artemisinin and bioactive derivatives in clinic or laboratory, their cellular targets and mechanism of actions have still remained obscure. Here, two new 1.‐aza‐artemisinin derivatives AAD1.and AAD2, which displayed cytotoxity against multiple cancer cell lines, were synthesized and applied as the probes for target identification and anticancer mechanism research. Using T7 phage display screen method, fatty acid binding protein 6 (FABP6) was identified and verified as one of the potential targets. Further studies showed FABP6 is a direct binding protein of AAD1.and AAD2, and mediated the corresponding anticancer activities of these artemisinin derivatives.

Coupled Influence of Temperature and Strain Rate on Tensile Deformation Characteristics of Hot-Extruded AZ31.Magnesium Alloy

To explore the coupled effect of temperature T and strain rate ε on the deformation features of AZ31.Mg alloy, mechanical behaviors and microstructural evolutions as well as surface deformation and damage features were system- atically examined under uniaxial tension at T spanning from 298 to 523 K and ε from 1.^-4 to 1.^-2 s-1. The increase in T or the decrease in ε leads to the marked decrease in flow stress, the appearance of a stress quasi-plateau after an initially rapid strain hardening, and even to the occurrence of successive strain softening. Correspondingly, the plastic deformation modes of AZ31.Mg alloy transform from the predominant twinning and a limited amount of dislocation slip into the enhanced non-basal slip and the dynamic recrystallization （DRX） together with the weakened twinning. Meanwhile, the cracking modes also change from along grain boundaries （GBs） and at twin boundaries （TBs） or the end of twins into nearby GBs where the DRX has occurred. The appearance of a stress quasi-plateau, the formation of large-sized cracks nearby GBs, and the occurrence of continuous strain softening, are intimately related to the enhancement of the non-basal slip and the DRX.

Background:Humoral and cellular immune responses play protective roles against Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB)***,hookworm infection decreases the immune response to hookworm and bystander ***,immune responses to co-infection of MTB and hookworm are still unknown,although co-infection has been one of the public health problems in co-endemic areas of pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)and hookworm ***,it is essential to evaluate B and T cell immune responses to the ***:Seventeen PTB cases co-infected with hookworm,26 PTB cases,1. patients with hookworm infection,and 24 healthy controls without PTB or hookworm infection were enrolled in the *** of CD3,CD4,CD8,CD1.,CD1.,CD20,CD21.CD25,CD27,CD38,FoxP3,and PD-1.were assessed on B and T cell subsets using multicolor flow ***:For the B cell(CD1.+)subsets,naïve B cells(CD1.−CD27−CD21.CD20+),plasma cells(CD1.−CD27+CD21.CD20−),and tissue-like memory B cells(CD1.−CD27−CD21.CD20+)had higher proportions,whilst resting memory B cells(CD1.−CD27+CD21.CD20+)had lower proportions in the group co-infected with MTB and hookworm as compared to other *** of activated memory B cells(CD1.−CD27+CD21.CD20+)did not differ among the four *** the T cell(CD3+)subsets,frequencies of regulatory T cells(CD4+CD25+Foxp3+)and exhausted CD4+and CD8+T cells(CD4+PD-1.and CD8+PD-1.)were higher,and frequencies of activated CD4+and CD8+T cells(CD4+CD38+and CD8+CD38+)were lower in the co-infected group as compared to the other ***:The change patterns of the cell profile of circulating lymphocytes were indentified in human co-infection of MTB and hookworm,which might indicate that the humoral and cellular immune responses are more suppressed.

The coarsening behavior of(Ni,Co)2Si particles in Cu-Ni-Co-Si alloy was investigated by experimental observations and coarsening kinetics calculations when aged at 450,500,550 and 600℃ for different *** results show that the critical particle radius for coherence mismatch is found to be 1..3 nm,and particles larger than 25 nm are generally *** relationship of(Ni,Co)2Si particles size and aging time follows lifshitz,Slyosov and Wagner(LSW) *** particle size distributions fit well to the LSW theoretical *** activation energy for(Ni,Co)2Si coarsening is accurately determined to be(21..21.± 5.1.)kJ mol-1.when considering the effect of temperature on the solution concentrations in *** coarsening of(Ni,Co)2Si particles in Cu-Ni-Co-Si alloy is controlled by diffusion of Ni,Co and Si in Cu *** growth of particles for long durations suggests that vacancies can be trapped within the structure for long time despite their mobility.

Expression of bkt and bch genes from Haematococcus pluvialis in transgenic Chlamydomonas

β-carotene ketolase and β-carotene hydroxylase encoded by bkt and bch, respectively, are key enzymes required for astaxanthin biosynthesis in Haematococcu pluvia{1.s 34-1.. Two expression vectors containing cDNA sequences of bkt and bch were constructed and co-transformed into cell-wall-deficient Chlamydomonas reinhardtii CC-849. Transgenic algae were screened on TAP agar plates containing 1. gg mL 1.Zeomycin. PCR-Southern analysis showed that bkt and bch were integrated into the genomes of C. reinhardtii. Transcripts of bkt and bch were further confirmed by RT-PCR-Southern analysis. Compared with the wild type, transgenic algae produced 29.04% and 30.27% more carotenoids and xanthophylls, respectively. Moreover, the transgenic algae could accumulate 34% more astaxanthin than wild type. These results indicate that foreign bkt and bch genes were successfully translated into β-carotene ketolase and β-carotene hydroxylase, which were responsible for catalyzing the biosynthesis of astaxanthin in transgenic algae.

Background: Functional constipation(FC) is one of the most prevalent functional gastrointestinal disorders. Dissatisfaction with medications prescribed to treat FC may lead patients to seek alternative treatments. Numerous systematic reviews(SRs) examining the use of acupuncture to treat FC have reported inconsistent results, and the quality of these studies has not been fully ***: In this overview, we evaluated and summarized clinical evidence on the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for treating FC and evaluated the quality and bias of the SRs we *** strategy: The search strategy was structured by medical subject headings and search terms such as‘‘acupuncture therapy" and ‘‘functional constipation." electronic searches were conducted in eight databases from their inception to September *** criteria: SRs that investigated the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for managing FC were *** extraction and analysis: Two authors independently extracted information and appraised the methodology, reporting accuracy, quality of evidence, and risk of bias using the following critical appraisal tools:(1. A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews 2(AMSTAR 2);(2) Risk of Bias in Systematic Reviews(ROBIS);(3) Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses for Acupuncture(PRISMA-A);and(4) the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations(GRADE). A j index was used to score the level of agreement between the 2 ***: Thirteen SRs that examined the clinical utility of acupuncture for treating FC were *** the AMSTAR 2 tool, we rated 92.3%(1./1.) of the SRs as ‘‘critically low" confidence and one study as ‘‘low" confidence. Effect of vanadium on dynamic continuous cooling transformation behavior of medium-carbon forging steels

Dynamic continuous cooling transformation （CCT） behavior of medium-carbon forging steels microalloyed with different V contents up to 0.29% was investigated by means of dilatometric measurement, microstructural observation and hardness measurement. The re- sults showed that the dynamic CCT diagrams were similar and the main difference was that the fields of the transformation products were shifted to the right side of the diagrams with the increase of V content, and this effect was more noticeable with an addition of 0. 290/00 V. The At1.and At3 temperatures showed increasing trends with increasing V content, while the critical cooling rates decreased with increasing V content. The increase of V content re- sulted in significant increase of hardness and this tendency was enhanced with increasing cooling rate until the formation of acicular ferrite （AF）. A promising approach of remark- ably improving the toughness of ferritic-pearlitic medium-carbon forging steels with suit- able V addition and the introduction of AF without notable penalty on its strength level was suggested.

In-situ growth of CoNi bimetal anchored on carbon nanoparticle/nanotube hybrid for boosting rechargeable Zn-air battery

Exploring highly efficient non-precious metal based catalysts for bifunctional oxygen electrode is crucial for rechargeable metal-air *** this study,with MOFs as precursors,a facile coprecipitation method is designed to realize in-situ growth of the CoNi anchored carbon nanoparticle/nanotube(CoNi/N-CNN)hybrid,which can achieve the simultaneous maximum exposure of both oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)active *** from the unique structure,the CoNi/N-CNN catalyst exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performance for ORR(E_(onset)={1.83 V,E_(1.2)=0.81. V)and a low operating voltage of 1.71. V at 1. mA cm^(−2)(Ej=1.)for ***,the home-made rechargeable Zn-air battery with CoNi/N-CNN delivers a high discharge power density up to 209 mW cm^(−2),and an outstanding charge–discharge cycling *** boosted bifunctional electrocatalytic activity can be ascribed to the strong coupling effect between Co/Ni center sites and defect-rich N-anchored carbon featured with porous and nanotube structure,which can introduce uniformly dispersed active sites,tailored electronic configuration,superb conductivity and convenient charge transfer *** hybrid non-precious bimetal based electrocatalyst provides the possibility to develop the low-cost and high-efficient ORR/OER bifunctional electrocatalysts in rechargeable metal-air battery.
