Constructing globally consecutive 3D conductive network using P-doped biochar cotton fiber for superior performance of silicon-based anodes

The inferior conductivity and drastic volume expansion of silicon still remain the bottleneck in achieving high energy density lithium-ion Batteries(liBs).The design of the three-dimensional structure of electrodes by compositing silicon and carbon materials has been employed to tackle the above challenges,however,the exorbitant costs and the uncertainty of the conductive structure persist,leaving ample room for ***,silicon nanoparticles were innovatively composited with eco-friendly biochar sourced from cotton to fabricate a 3D globally consecutive conductive *** network serves a dual purpose:enhancing overall electrode conductivity and serving as a scaffold to maintain electrode *** conductivity of the network was further augmented by introducing P-doping at the optimum doping temperature of 350℃.Unlike the local conductive sites formed by the mere mixing of silicon and conductive agents,the consecutive network can affirm the improvement of the conductivity at a macro ***,first-principle calculations further validated that the rapid diffusion of li^(+)is attributed to the tailored electronic microstructure and charge rearrangement of the *** prepared consecutive conductive Si@P-doped carbonized cotton fiber anode outperforms the inconsecutive Si@Graphite anode in both cycling performance(capacity retention of 1.77.1. mAh g^(-1. vs.682.56 mAh g^(-1. after 1.0 cycles at 0.3 C)and rate performance(1.44.24 mAh g^(-1. vs.370.28 mAh g^(-1. at 2.0 C).The findings of this study may open up new avenues for the development of globally interconnected conductive networks in Si-based anodes,thereby enabling the fabrication of high-performance liBs.

Nitrosamines are a class of carcinogens which have been detected widely in food,water,some pharmaceuticals as well as *** objectives of this paper include reviewing the basic information on tobacco consumption and nitrosamine contents,and assessing the health risks of tobacco nitrosamines exposure to Chinese *** searched the publications in English from“Web of science”and those in Chinese from the“china national Knowledge Infrastructure”in 2022 and collected 1.1 literatures with valid *** content of main nitrosamines in tobacco,including 4-(methylnitrosoamino)-1.(3-pyridyl)-1.butanone(NNK),N-nitrosonornicotine(NNN),N-nitrosoanatabine(NAT),N-nitrosoanabasine(NAB),total tobacco-specific nitrosamines(TSNA),and N-nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA)were *** information of daily tobacco consumption of smokers in 30 provinces of china was also ***,the intakes of NNN,NNK,NAT,NAB,TSNAs,and NDMA via tobacco smoke were estimated as 1.34ng/day,591.ng/day,685 ng/day,81.ng/day,2543 ng/day,and 484 ng/day by adult smokers in30 provinces,*** cancer risk(CR)values for NNN and NNK inhalation intake were further calculated as 1.44×1.^(-5)and 1.95×1.^(-4).The CR value for NDMA intake via tobacco smoke(inhalation:1.66×1.^(-4))indicates that NDMA is similarly dangerous in tobacco smoke when compared with the *** china,the CR values caused by average nitrosamines intake via various exposures and their order can be estimated as the following:smoke(3.75×1.^(-4))>food(1.74×1.^(-4))>drinking water(1.38×1.^(-5)).Smokers in china averagely suffer 200%of extra cancer risk caused by nitrosamines in tobacco when compared with non-smokers.

An improved installation of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl(iHmb)method for chemical protein synthesis

The 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl(Hmb)backbone modification can prevent amide bond-mediated sidereactions(e.g.,aspartimide formation,peptide aggregation)by installing the removable Hmb group into a peptide bond,thus improving the synthesis of long and challenging peptides and ***,its use is largely precluded by the limited Hmb’s installation *** this report,an improved installation of Hmb(iHmb)method was developed to achieve the flexible installation and the convenient removal of *** iHmb method involves two critical steps:(1.oxidative diazotization of the readily installed 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-amino-benzyl(Hmab)to give 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-diazonium-benzyl(Hmdab)by combining soamyl nitrite(IAN)/HBF_(4),and(2)reductive elimination of Hmdab to give the desired Hmb by 1.2-ethanedithiol(EDT).The iHmb method enables the installation of Hmb at any primary amino acid including the highly sterically hindered amino acids(e.g.,valine and isoleucine).The practicality and utility of the iHmb method was demonstrated by one-shot solid-phase synthesis of a challenging aspartimide-prone peptide,the mirror-image version of a hydrophobic peptide and a long-chain peptide up to ***,the iHmb method can be utilized to facilitate chemical protein ligation,as exemplified by the synthesis of the single-spanning membrane protein *** iHmb method expands the toolkit for peptide synthesis and ligation and facilitates the preparation of peptides/proteins.

Synergistically enhanced dielectric, insulating and thermally conductive performances of sandwich PMMA based dielectric films

A tri-layered(B-G-B) dielectric films were simply prepared by alternatively spin-coating boron nitride/polymethylmethacrylate(BN/PMMA, B) and graphene nanosheets(GNS/PMMA, G) compound solutions. The structure, morphology, thermal conductivity, and particularly the dielectric and relaxation behaviors were systematically studied. Results showed that a good exfoliation and dispersion of BN and GNS can be simply achieved through intensive mechanical compounding with PMMA in the internal mixer. The dielectric constant and breakdown strength of the obtained 1.3-1.B-G-B) sandwich composite film reached 4.3(@1.kHz) and 458.6kV/mm, being 1.9 % and 1.3 % higher than that of pure PMMA, respectively. Furthermore, the overall thermal conductivity of sandwich 1.3-1.composite increased by 1.2 % due to the addition of thermally conductive BN and GNS. The sandwich design strategy provided an effective way of achieving good permittivity, high insulation, and improved thermal conductivity simultaneously, showing potential applications in the miniaturization and integration of electronic devices.

Pulsar search is always the basis of pulsar navigation,gravitational wave detection and other research ***,the volume of pulsar candidates collected by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)shows an explosive growth rate that has brought challenges for its pulsar candidate filtering ***,the multi-view heterogeneous data and class imbalance between true pulsars and non-pulsar candidates have negative effects on traditional single-modal supervised classification *** this study,a multi-modal and semi-supervised learning based on a pulsar candidate sifting algorithm is presented,which adopts a hybrid ensemble clustering scheme of density-based and partition-based methods combined with a feature-level fusion strategy for input data and a data partition strategy for *** on both High Time Resolution Universe SurveyⅡ(HTRU2)and actual FAST observation data demonstrate that the proposed algorithm could excellently identify pulsars:On HTRU2,the precision and recall rates of its parallel mode reach0.981.and 0.988 *** FAST data,those of its parallel mode reach 0.891.and 0.961.meanwhile,the running time also significantly decreases with the increment of parallel nodes within ***,we can conclude that our algorithm could be a feasible idea for large scale pulsar candidate sifting for FAST drift scan observation.
