Smart city situational awareness has recently emerged as a hot topic in research societies,industries,and governments because of its potential to integrate cutting-edge information technology and solve urgent challenges that modern cities *** example,in the latest five-year plan,the Chinese government has highlighted the demand to empower smart city management with new technologies such as big data and Internet of Things,for which situational awareness is normally the crucial first *** traditional static surveillance data on cities have been available for decades,this review reports a type of relatively new yet highly important urban data source,i.e.,the big mobile data collected by devices with various levels of mobility representing the movement and distribution of public and private agents in the *** especially focus on smart city situational awareness enabled by synthesizing the localization of hundreds of thousands of mobile software Apps using the Global Positioning System(GPS).This technique enjoys advantages such as a large penetration rate(∼50%urban population covered),uniform spatiotemporal coverage,and high localization *** first discuss the pragmatic requirements for smart city situational awareness and the challenges *** we introduce two suites of empowering technologies that help fulfill the requirements of(1)cybersecurity insurance for smart cities and(2)spatiotemporal modeling and visualization for situational awareness,both via big mobile *** main contributions of this review lie in the description of a comprehensive technological framework for smart city situational awareness and the demonstration of its feasibility via real-world applications.

The relationship between the microstructure and magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet compressed by shock wave with 6.26 GPa≤p≤7.16 GPa was *** reveals that Nd-Fe-B magnets show a demagnetization behavior after compressed by shock *** intergranular fracture is the main occurring phe-nomenon in the shock wave-compressed *** coercivity of the shock wave-compressed Nd-Fe-B magnets could be recovered after repeating the annealing *** suggests that only the morphology change just like the intergranular fracture occurs,and there is no structural change in the grain boundary phase in the shock wave-compressed *** phase grain interconnection,microcracks and pores,and alterant orientation relationship between matrix phase and grain boundaries phase are con-sidered as induced factors of demagnetization.

Signal reconstruction through software processing is a crucial component of the background and signal models in the PandaX-4T experiment,which is a multi-tonne dark matter direct search *** accuracy of signal reconstruction is influenced by various detector artifacts,including noise,dark count of photomultiplier,photoionization of impurities in the detector,and other relevant *** this study,we presented a detailed description of a semi-data-driven approach designed to simulate a signal *** work provides a reliable model for the efficiency and bias of the signal reconstruction in the data analysis of *** comparing critical variables that relate to the temporal shape and hit pattern of the signals,we found good agreement between the simulation and data.

Coincidence measurements of breakup fragments in reactions of^(6.7)with^(209)Bi at energies around and above the Coulomb barrier were carried out using a large solid-angle covered detector *** the Q values along with the relative energies of the breakup fragments,different breakup components(prompt breakups and delayed breakups)and different breakup modes(α+t,α+d,α+p,andα+α)are distinguished.A new breakup mode,α+t,is observed in^(6)li-induced reactions at energies above the Coulomb *** between breakup modes and breakup components as well as their variations with the incident energy are *** results will help us better understand the breakup effects of weakly bound nuclei on the suppression of a complete fusion,particularly for the above-barrier energies.
