Meta-analysis in the production chain of aquaculture: A review

Meta-analysis is a statistical analysis of the data obtained from multiple studies and pro-vides a quantitative synthesis of research *** can be a key tool for facilitating rapid progress in aquaculture by quantifying what is known and identifying what is not yet ***,due to the complexity of the environment and problems associated with the use of model in aquaculture,it remain few guidelines for the design,implementation or interpretation of meta-analysis in the field of ***,we first briefly reviewed the history of meta-analysis,then summarized the applications of meta-analysis in terms of major procedures,standards,and ***,we critically reviewed the results of meta-analysis studies in the production chain of aquaculture and identified the potentials for improving yield in both quantity and ***,there is a large room for improving yield along the production *** contributions can be found in breeding,feed,and farm *** example,improving breeding can increase yield by 5.6%to 49%,depending on fish species and type of *** study revealed large potentials for improving yield in the production chain of aquaculture and summarized the application of meta-analysis in *** recommendations of standardizing and improving meta-analysis in aquaculture were proposed.

Path-Following Control of Autonomous Vehicles Considering Coupling Effects and Multi-source System Uncertainties

Path-following control is one of the key technologies of autonomous vehicles,but the complex coupling effects and system uncertainties of vehicles can degrade their control ***,this study proposes targeted methods to solve different types of coupling in vehicle ***,the types of coupling are figured out and different handling strategies are proposed for each type,among which the coupling caused by steering angle,unsaturated tire forces,and load transfer can be treated as uncertainties in a unified form,such that the coupling effects can be treated in a decoupling ***,robust control methods for both lateral and longitudinal dynamics are proposed to deal with the uncertainties in dynamic and physical *** lateral control,a robust feedback-feedforward scheme is utilized in lateral control to deal with such *** longitudinal control,a radial basis function neural network-based adaptive sliding mode controller is introduced to deal with uncertainties and *** addition,the tire saturation coupling that cannot be handled by controllers is treated by a proposed speed *** results based on the CarSim-Simulink joint platform evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control *** results show that compared with a well-designed robust controller,the velocity tracking performance,lateral tracking performance,and heading tracking performance improve by 55.68%,34.26%,and 52.41%,respectively,in the double-lane change maneuver,and increase by 87.79%,30.18%,and 9.68%,respectively,in the ramp maneuver.

A novel differential multiuser detection algorithm for multiuser MIMO-OFDM systems

We propose an efficient low bit error rate(BER) and low complexity multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) multiuser detection(MUD) method for use with multiuser MIMO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) *** is a hybrid method combining a multiuser-interference-cancellation-based decision feedback equalizer using error feedback filter(MIMO MIC DFE-EFF) and a differential *** proposed method,termed 'MIMO MIC DFE-EFF with a differential algorithm' for short,has a multiuser feedback *** describe the schemes of MIMO MIC DFE-EFF and MIMO MIC DFE-EFF with a differential algorithm,and compare their minimum mean square error(MMSE) performance and computational *** results show that a significant performance gain can be achieved by employing the MIMO MIC DFE-EFF detection algorithm in the context of a multiuser MIMO-OFDM system over frequency selective Rayleigh *** MIC DFE-EFF with the differential algorithm improves both computational efficiency and BER performance in a multistage structure relative to conventional DFE-EFF,though there is a small reduction in system performance compared with MIMO MIC DFE-EFF without the differential algorithm.

Synthesis and Structural Characterization of a New Cadmium(II) Complex with a Double Betaine

A new flexible double betaine L （L = 1,4-bis（pyridinio-4-carboxylato-N-methyl）benzene, C20H16N2O4） and its cadmium（Ⅱ） complex [Cd（H2O）aL（NO3）]NO3.H2O 1 were synthesized. Complex 1 was obtained by self-assembly reaction of [Cd（NO3）2]-4H2O and L in hot water,and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystallographic data for complex 1： C20H24CdN4O14.H2O, Mr = 674.85, monoclinic, space group P21/c, a =13.7854（3）, b = 14.2820（3）, c = 14.9188（4） ,A°, β = 116.418（1）°, V = 2630.5（1）A°^3, Z = 4, Dc= 1.704g/cm^3,/J（MoKα） = 0.911 mm^-1, F（000） = 1368, the final R = 0.0315 and wR = 0.0768 for 3637 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. In complex 1, L acts as a monodentate ligand to link a Cd（Ⅱ） ion in a novel coordination mode of double betaines. The mononuclear [Cd（H2O）aL（NO3）] units are connected through intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking reactions to generate a 3D network.

Preparation, interfacial regulation and strengthening of Mg/Al bimetal fabricated by compound casting: A review

Mg/Al bimetal combines the advantages of both aluminum and magnesium and has broad application prospects in automotive, aerospace,weapons, digital products and so on. The compound casting has the characteristics of low cost, easy to achieve metallurgical combination and suitable for the preparation of complex bimetallic parts. However, bimetallic joint strength is low due to differences of physical properties between Al and Mg, oxide film on metallic surface and interfacial Al-Mg IMCs, which is closely related to the interfacial microstructure and properties. Therefore, how to control the interface of the bimetal to achieve performance enhancement is the focus and difficulty in this field. At present, there are mainly the following strengthening methods. First, the “zincate galvanizing” and “electrolytic polishing+anodic oxidation” technology were exert on the surface of Al alloy to remove and break the oxide film, which improved the wettability between Al and Mg. Second, the undesirable Al-Mg IMCs were reduce or elimination by adding the interlayers(Zn, Ni and Ni-Cu). Thirdly, the evolution process of interfacial microstructure was changed and fine strengthening phases were formed by adding Si element to Al alloy or rare earth element to Mg alloy. Fourthly, mechanical vibration and ultrasonic vibration were applied in the process of the filling and solidification to refine and homogenize the interfacial structure. Finally, some other methods, including secondary rolling, thermal modification, heat treatment and constructing exterior 3D morphology, also can be used to regulate the interfacial microstructure and compositions. The above strengthening methods can be used alone or in combination to achieve bimetallic strengthening. Finally, the future development direction of the Mg/Al bimetal is prospected, which provides some new ideas for the development and application of the Mg/Al bimetal.

A Multi-Scale Grasp Detector Based on Fully Matching Model

Robotic grasping is an essential problem at both the household and industrial levels,and unstructured objects have always been difficult for ***-plate grippers and algorithms,focusing on partial information of objects,are one of the widely used ***,most works predict single-size grasp rectangles for fixed cameras and gripper *** this paper,a multi-scale grasp detector is proposed to predict grasp rectangles with different sizes on RGB-D or RGB images in real-time for hand-eye cameras and various parallel-plate *** detector extracts feature maps of multiple scales and conducts predictions on each scale *** guarantee independence between scales and efficiency,fully matching model and background classifier are applied in the *** on analysis of the Cornell Grasp Dataset,the fully matching model canmatch all labeled grasp ***,background classification,along with angle classification and box regression,functions as hard negative mining and background *** detector is trained and tested on the augmented dataset,which includes images of 320×320 pixels and grasp rectangles ranging from 20 tomore than 320 *** performs up to 98.87% accuracy on image-wise dataset and 97.83% on object-wise split dataset at a speed of more than 22 frames per *** addition,the detector,which is trained on a single-object dataset,can predict grasps on multiple objects.

Calculations of plastic collapse load of pressure vessel using FEA

This paper proposes a theoretical method using finite element analysis(FEA) to calculate the plastic collapse loads of pressure vessels under internal pressure,and compares the analytical methods according to three criteria stated in the ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code. First,a finite element technique using the arc-length algorithm and the restart analysis is developed to conduct the plastic collapse analysis of vessels,which includes the material and geometry non-linear properties of vessels. Second,as the mechanical properties of vessels are assumed to be elastic-perfectly plastic,the limit load analysis is performed by em-ploying the Newton-Raphson algorithm,while the limit pressure of vessels is obtained by the twice-elastic-slope method and the tangent intersection method respectively to avoid excessive deformation. Finally,the elastic stress analysis under working pressure is conducted and the stress strength of vessels is checked by sorting the stress results. The results are compared with those obtained by experiments and other existing models. This work provides a reference for the selection of the failure criteria and the calculation of the plastic collapse load.

Multifunctional Langmuir-Blodgett film of an Amphiphilic Benziminazole Styryl Dye

An amphiphilic benziminazole styryl dye, 2 (4 dihexadecylaminostyryl)benziminazolium TCNQ -(DBTCNQ), was synthesized and successfully transferred onto the substrates by Langmuir Blodgett(LB) technique. H aggregates were formed on the substrates. Its monolayer second order susceptibility[ χ (2) zzz = 109 p/mV) was determined with a polarized laser beam(Nd∶YAG, λ =1.064 μm). The photoelectrochemistry of the dye LB monolayer films was investigated in a traditional three electrode cell. The quantum efficiency of photoelectric conversion is 1.08% under favorable conditions [-200 mV, 0.5 mg/mL methylviologen diiodide(MV 2+ ) in 0.5 mol/L KCl electrolyte solution]. The experimental data indicate that the LB film exhibits multifunctional properties.

Changes in the microbial community structure and diversity during the electricity generation process of a microbial fuel cell with algal-film cathode

A two-chamber microbial fuel cell(MFC)with algal-film cathode was *** showed good electric-generating performance with three electric-generating stages:start-up,development,and *** average output voltage reached~0.412 V during the stable period.A maximum power density during continuous operation was 19.76 mW/m^(2).Bacterial samples were collected from the anode in the three stages(A1,A2,and A3),and their community structure and diversity were analyzed using Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology.A total of 4238 operational taxonomic units were identified based on the number of *** the phylum level,Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes played a dominant role in the three stages and increased significantly during electricity *** with A1,the relative abundances of Proteobacteria in A2 and A3 increased by 23.30%and 32.06%,respectively,whereas those of Bacteroidetes in A2 and A3 increased by 5.56%and 14.50%,*** the genus level,there were differences in the composition of bacterial communities among the three *** and Chlorobium became the dominant genera in A2,replacing Nitrospira and norank_f__Saprospiraceae in A1,and Sphingobacterium and Ochrobactrum became the dominant genera in *** to the sample cluster and principal component analyses,A1 was clustered into one class,and A2 and A3 were clustered into a second *** work revealed bacterial community succession at the anode of an algal-film cathode MFC during the electricity generation process,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent promotion of electricity generation by algal-film cathode MFCs.
