Flowering time and maturity are crucial agronomic traits that affect the regional adaptability of soybean *** development of soybean cultivars with early maturity adapted to longer days and colder climates of high latitudes is very important for ensuring normal ripening before frost *** belongs to the MADS-box transcription factor family and has several duplicated members in *** this study,we observed that overexpression of GmFULc in the Dongnong 50 cultivar promoted soybean maturity,while GmFULc knockout mutants exhibited late *** immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-seq)and RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)revealed that GmFULc could bind to the CArG,bHLH and homeobox *** investigation revealed that GmFULc could directly bind to the CArG motif in the promoters of the GmZTL3 and GmZTL4 *** of GmZTL4 promoted soybean maturity,whereas the ztl4 mutants exhibited delayed ***,we found that the cis element box 4 motif of the GmZTL4 promoter,a motif of light response elements,played an important role in controlling the growth *** of this motif shortened the growth period by increasing the expression levels of *** investigations revealed that short-day treatment promoted the binding of GmFULc to the promoter of GmZTL4 and inhibited the expression of E1.and E1.b,ultimately resulting in the promotion of flowering and early *** together,these findings suggest a novel photoperiod regulatory pathway in which GmFULc directly activates GmZTL4 to promote earlier maturity in soybean.

The Yellow River Basin(YRB)has experienced severe floods and continuous riverbed elevation throughout *** climate change has been suggested to be driving a worldwide increase in flooding ***,owing to insufficient evidence,the quantitative correlation between flooding and climate change remains *** present a long time series of maximum flood discharge in the YRB dating back to 1.43 compiled from historical documents and instrument *** in yearly maximum flood discharge show distinct periods:a dramatic decreasing period from 1.43 to 1.50,and an oscillating gentle decreasing from 1.50 to 2021.with the latter period also showing increasing more extreme floods.A Mann-Kendall test analysis suggests that the latter period can be further split into two distinct sub-periods:an oscillating gentle decreasing period from 1.50 to 2000,and a clear recent increasing period from 2000 to *** further predict that climate change will cause an ongoing remarkable increase in future flooding risk and an∼44.4 billion US dollars loss of floods in the YRB in 21.0.

Highly sensitive flexible strain sensor based on the two-dimensional semiconductor tellurium with a negative gauge factor

Research on flexible strain sensors has advanced rapidly in recent years, with particular attention being devoted to two-dimensional(2D) semiconductor materials owing to their exceptional mechanical and electrical properties that are conducive to sophisticated sensing performance. However, resistive strain sensors based on 2D semiconductor materials typically exhibit positive gauge factors(GF), while materials for strain sensors with a negative GF remain elusive. We have identified a trend of reduction in the band gap of the emerging 2D semiconductor material tellurium(Te) under strain in simulations reported in past research,and have observed a negative GF in the Te-based strain sensor. In this study, we combined Te with a flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate to manufacture a flexible strain sensor with a significantly negative GF. The results of tests revealed that the Te-based strain sensor achieved an impressive maximum sensitivity of-1.9.7 within a small range of bending-induced strain(1.). Furthermore, it exhibited excellent linearity and good cyclic stability, and was successfully applied to monitor limb movements. The work here verifies the significant potential for the use of Te-based strain sensors in next-generation flexible electronics.

In situ Raman spectroscopic and voltammetric studies indicate that dissociative adsorption of methanol on the rough platinum electrode occurs in the hydrogen ad/desorption potential range, and the dissociative extent depends on the initial potential of the electrode before contacting methanol, in addition to the contacting time. As the dissociative product, carbon monoxide competes the site of strongly bound hydrogen preferentially, and shifts the ad/desorption potentials of weakly bound hydrogen towards more positive ones gradually with the increase of CO coverage. Whereas, formaldehyde dissociates more easily by far and completely suppresses H-adsorption. The confocal Raman spectroscopy developed on transition metals shows some intriguing advantages in investigating electrocatalytic oxidation of small organic molecules.

IKIP downregulates THBS1.FAK signaling to suppress migration and invasion by glioblastoma cells

Background:Inhibitor of NF-κB kinase-interacting protein(IKIP)is known to promote proliferation of glioblastoma(GBM)cells,but how it affects migration and invasion by those cells is ***:We compared levels of IKIP between glioma tissues and normal brain tissue in clinical samples and public *** examined the effects of IKIP overexpression and knockdown on the migration and invasion of GBM using transwell and wound healing assays,and we compared the transcriptomes under these different conditions to identify the molecular mechanisms ***:Based on data from our clinical samples and from public databases,IKIP was overexpressed in GBM tumors,and its expression level correlated inversely with *** overexpression in GBM cells inhibited migration and invasion in transwell and wound healing assays,whereas IKIP knockdown exerted the opposite *** overexpression in GBM cells that were injected into mouse brain promoted tumor growth but inhibited tumor invasion of surrounding *** effects of IKIP were associated with downregulation of THBS1.mRNA and concomitant inhibition of THBS1.FAK ***:IKIP inhibits THBS1.FAK signaling to suppress migration and invasion of GBM cells.

To explore a potential means for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer disease, we studied the relationship of resting T2* signal and tau hyperphosphorylation/spatial memory deficit. The rat model with tau hyperphosphorylation and spatial memory deficit was established by bilateral hippocampi injection of isoproterenol (IP). Then, the correlative alteration between resting T2* signal and spatial memory retention was assessed with blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study and Morris Water Maze test, and Western blot was employed to confirm tau hyperphosphorylation. The analysis showed following results. (1. Tau phosphorylation at Ser396/Ser404 and Ser1.9/Ser202 was signifi- cantly increased in IP-injected rats as detected by PHF-1.and tau-1. respectively. (2) An AD-like spatial memory retention disturbance was induced at 24 h after isoproterenol injection. (3) A sensitivity threshold of resting T2* signal intensity, which separated the IP-treated rats from vehicle control, was obtained by applying linear regression analysis, and an estimated sensitivity statistical threshold was at 32.62. These results suggest that resting T2* signal may serve as a noninvasive quantitative marker in predicting AD-like spatial memory deficits and tau hyperphosphorylation.

Reducing Social Media Attention Inequality in Disasters: The Role of Official Media During Rainstorm Disasters in{1.

Unequal social media attention can lead to potentially uneven distribution of disaster-relief funds, resulting in long-term inequality among regions after disasters. This study aimed to measure inequalities in social media attention to regions during disasters and explore the role of official media in reducing such inequality. This is performed by employing social media,official media, and official aggregated statistics regarding china's rainstorm disasters. Through a set of panel-data regressions and robustness tests, three main conclusions were drawn:(1. There were inequalities among regions regarding social media attention they received during rainstorm disasters. For disasters of the same magnitude, regions with low economic outcome per capita received less attention on social media.(2) Official media can reduce inequality in social media attention during disasters. Official media statements can encourage netizens to pay attention to disaster-stricken areas, and especially the overlooked underdeveloped areas.(3) Of all the measures taken by official media, timely, accurate, and open disclosure of disaster occurrences proved to be the most potent means of leveling the playing field in terms of social media attention;contrarily, promotional or booster-type messages proved futile in this regard. These findings revealed the vulnerabilities within social media landscapes that aff ect disaster relief response, shedding light on the role of official guidance in mitigating inequalities in social media attention during such crises. Our study advises social media stakeholders and policymakers on formulating more equitable crisis communication strategies to bridge the gap in social media attention and foster a more balanced and just relief process.

Electrophysiological effect of fluoxetine on Xenopus oocytes heterolo-gously expressing human serotonin transporter

Aim:To investigate the electrophysiological effect of fluoxetine on ***:A heterologous expression system was used to introducehuman serotonin transporter(hSERT)into Xenopus oocytes.A 2-electrode volt-age clamp technique was used to study the pharmacological properties ***:hSERT-expressing oocytes were perfused with 1. μmol/Lserotonin(5-HT)to induce *** 5-HT-induced hSERT currentswere dose-dependently reversed by *** RC50(concentration thatachieved a 50% reversal)was approximately 3.1. μmol/*** took moretime to combine with hSERT than 5-HT did,and it was also slow to dissociate *** long-lasting effect of fluoxetine affected normal 5-HT *** significantly prolonged the time constant for 5-HT-induced *** results might be used to explain the long-lasting anti-anxiety effectof fluoxetine in c{1.nical practice,because it increases the concentration of 5-HT inthe synaptic cleft by its enduring suppression of the function of 5-HT ***:Fluoxetine inhibits 5-HT reuptake by competing with 5-HT and chang-ing the normal dynamics of hSERT.
