BACKGROUND Microvascular invasion(MVI)of small hepatocellular carcinoma(sHCC)(≤3.0 cm)is an independent prognostic factor for poor progression-free and overall survival.Radiomics can help extract imaging information associated with tumor pathophysiology.AIM To develop and validate radiomics scores and a nomogram of gadolinium ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid(Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for preoperative prediction of MVI in sHCC.METHODS In total,415 patients were diagnosed with sHCC by postoperative pathology.A total of 221 patients were retrospectively included from our hospital.In addition,we recruited 94 and 100 participants as independent external validation sets from two other hospitals.Radiomics models of Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI and diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)were constructed and validated using machine learning.As presented in the radiomics nomogram,a prediction model was developed using multivariable logistic regression analysis,which included radiomics scores,radiologic features,and clinical features,such as the alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)level.The calibration,decision-making curve,and clinical usefulness of the radiomics nomogram were analyzed.The radiomic nomogram was validated using independent external cohort data.The areas under the receiver operating curve(AUC)were used to assess the predictive capability.RESULTS Pathological examination confirmed MVI in 64(28.9%),22(23.4%),and 16(16.0%)of the 221,94,and 100 patients,respectively.AFP,tumor size,non-smooth tumor margin,incomplete capsule,and peritumoral hypointensity in hepatobiliary phase(HBP)images had poor diagnostic value for MVI of sHCC.Quantitative radiomic features(1409)of MRI scans)were extracted.The classifier of logistic regression(LR)was the best machine learning method,and the radiomics scores of HBP and DWI had great diagnostic efficiency for the prediction of MVI in both the testing set(hospital A)and validation set(hospital B,C).The AUC of HBP was 0.979,0.970,and 0.803,respectively,and the AUC o

Intracrustal low-velocity zones(LVZs)indicate a mechanically weak crust and are widely observed in the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau.However,their spatial distributions and formation mechanisms remain controversial.To investigate their distribution and detailed morphology of the LVZs in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,here we used teleseismic events and continuous waveform data recorded by 40 broadband seismic stations newly deployed in the Sichuan-Yunnan region from December 2018 to October 2020.A total of 12,924 high-quality P-wave receiver functions and 5–40 s fundamental Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity dispersion curves from ambient noise cross-correlation functions were obtained.The Swave velocity model at a depth interval of 0–100 km in the study area was inverted by using the trans-dimensional Markov chain Monte Carlo strategy to jointly invert the complementary data of the receiver function waveform and Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity dispersion.Our results show that there are two separate LVZs(~3.5 km/s)surrounding the rigid Daliangshan subblock at crustal depths of approximately 30–40 km,providing new constraints on the geometry of the LVZs in our study region.The two LVZs obtained in this study may represent the middle crustal flow channels,through which the material in the center of the Tibetan Plateau extrudes to its southeast margin.Blocked by the rigid Sichuan Basin and the spindle-like Daliangshan subblock,the material continues to flow southward through the mechanically weak middle crustal channels surrounding the Daliangshan subblock.In addition,the existence of thin LVZs in the middle crust plays an important role in understanding the decoupling between the upper and lower crust in the study area.It also provides new constraint on the complex tectonic deformation process of the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau caused by the collision and compression of the Indian and the Eurasian plates.

BACKGROUND Severe acute pancreatitis(SAP),a condition with rapid onset,critical condition and unsatisfactory prognosis,poses a certain threat to human health,warranting optimization of relevant treatment plans to improve treatment efficacy.AIM To evaluate the efficacy and safety of computerized tomography-guided the-rapeutic percutaneous puncture catheter drainage(CT-TPPCD)combined with somatostatin(SS)in the treatment of SAP.METHODS Forty-two SAP patients admitted to The Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected.On the basis of routine treatment,20 patients received SS therapy(control group)and 22 patients were given CT-TPPCD plus SS intervention(research group).The efficacy,safety(pancreatic fistula,intra-abdominal hemorrhage,sepsis,and organ dysfunction syndrome),abdominal bloating and pain relief time,bowel recovery time,hospital stay,inflammatory indicators(C-reactive protein,interleukin-6,and pro-calcitonin),and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation(APACHE)II score of both groups were evaluated for comparison.RESULTS Compared with the control group,the research group had a markedly higher total effective rate,faster abdominal bloating and pain relief and bowel recovery,INTRODUCTION Pancreatitis,an inflammatory disease occurring in the pancreatic tissue,is classified as either acute or chronic and is associated with high morbidity and mortality,imposing a socioeconomic burden[1,2].The pathogenesis of this disease involves early protease activation,activation of nuclear factor kappa-B-related inflammatory reactions,and infiltration of immune cells[3].Severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)is a serious condition involving systemic injury and subsequent possible organ failure,accounting for 20%of all acute pancreatitis cases[4].SAP is also characterized by rapid onset,critical illness and unsatisfactory prognosis and is correlated with serious adverse events such as systemic inflammatory response syn-drome and acute lung injury,threatening the health of pa

Two suites of mafic dykes,T1193-A and T1194-A,outcrop in Gyangze area,southeast Tibet.They are in the area of Comei liP and have indistinguishable field occurrences with two other dykes in Gyangze,T0902 dyke with 137.7±1.3 Ma zircon age and T0907 dyke with 142±1.4 Ma zircon age reported by Wang YY et al.(2016),indicating coeval formation time.Taking all the four diabase dykes into consideration,two different types,OIB-type and weak enriched-type,can be summarized.The“OIB-type”samples,including T1193-A and T0907 dykes,show OIB-like geochemical features and have initial Sr-Nd isotopic values similar with most mafic products in Comei Large Igneous Provinces(liP),suggesting that they represent melts directly generated from the Kerguelen mantle plume.The“weak enriched-type”samples,including T1194-A and T0902 dykes,have REEs and trace element patterns showing withinplate affinity but have obvious Nb-Ta-Ti negative anomalies.They show uniform lowerεNd(t)values(−6‒−2)and higher 87Sr/86Sr(t)values(0.706‒0.709)independent of their MgO variation,indicating one enriched mantle source.Considering their closely spatial and temporal relationship with the widespread Comei liP magmatic products in Tethyan Himalaya,these“weak enriched-type”samples are consistent with mixing of melts from mantle plume and the above ancient Tethyan Himalaya subcontinental lithospheric mantle(SCLM)in different proportions.These weak enriched mafic rocks in Comei liP form one special rock group and most likely suggest large scale hot mantle plume-continental lithosphere interaction.This process may lead to strong modification of the Tethyan Himalaya lithosphere in the Early Cretaceous.

The development of lithium-metal batteries(LMBs)is seriously restricted by the out-of-control dendrites growth and infinite volume expansion.Herein,a pervasive organic-inorganic layer construction strategy is reported for the composite lithium metal anode with congener-derived organic-inorganic solid electrolyte interphase(SEI).In this strategy,the organic-inorganic Ag@polydopamine(Ag@PDA)layer is coated on the arbitrary substrates by a simple two-step method.The thin and stable congener-derived SEI is insitu formed with fewer inorganic components and more organic components during charging/discharging.The polydopamine with sufficient adhesion groups and lithiophilic Ag layer realize near-zero nucleation overpotential during lithium deposition.The low interface resistance and stable lithium deposition are achieved.Moreover,the practical areal and volumetric capacities of the composite anode with three-dimensional copper(3DCu)as the substrate are 10 mAh/cm^(2)and 1538 mAh/cm^3(vs.the mass of anode).The symmetrical cell shows very low polarization voltage(10 mV)and more than 2500 h cycles life at 1 mA/cm^(2)(1 mAh/cm^(2)).The liNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)-based full cells show improved capacity retention(82%)after 100 cycles at 0.5 C.The modified lithiophilic anode with congener-derived interphase provides a promising strategy to realize the next-generation dendrite-free LMBs.

Hydrogen acquisition from solar energy is an effective way to address energy crisis,which makes the development of efficient photocatalysts become the main direction of scientific research.Herein,cobalt phthalocyanine/oxygen-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)(CoPc/OCN) S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst was designed by coupling multi-step calcination with solvothermal method for enhanced photothermal-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) evolution.The multistep calcined g-C_(3)N_(4) is easier for O-doping formation,and the ethanol solvothermal strategy is utilized to enhance the dispersion of CoPc on OCN nano sheet surface and forms sufficient S-scheme heterojunction through H-bonds.In addition,the active sites and excellent photothermal properties of CoPc itself further improve the integrated photocatalytic activity of CoPc/OCN S-scheme heterojunction.The optimal photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of CoPc/OCN S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst reached 9.56 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),which is 2.69 and 1.23 times higher than that of CN and OCN,respectively.This work provides a valuable design idea and scheme for enhancing the multi-factor co-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) evolution performance.

Equal channel angle pressing is recognized for its ability to refine alloy grains and alter grain orientation, thereby achieve better mechanical performance of the magnesium alloy. This study investigates the microstructures,dynamic recrystallization mechanism, texture development, and mechanical performance of GW94K(Mg–8.7Gd–4.18Y–0.42Zr wt. %) Mg alloy following ECAP-4 passes at 400°C and 3 mm/min. Results show that when high-temperature deformation is undertaken, twin formation is suppressed while dislocation slip is facilitated, increasing dislocation density during deformation. Following ECAP deformation, the sample displayed higher fracture elongation, TYS, and UTS than the as-solutioned GW94K alloy. In particular, the GW94K alloy performed well mechanically after ECAP-4 passes, with an ultimate TYS of 231 MPa, an UTS of 290 MPa, and an elongation of 14.8 %. DDRX and shear bands induce CDRX, both of which are important in plastic deformation. as well as in modifying microstructure and grain orientation during ECAP deformation.

The achievement of a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B(CHB)remains limited to a minority of patients treated with currently approved drugs.The primary objective in developing new anti-HBV drugs is to enhance the functional cure rates for CHB.A critical prerequisite for the functional cure of CHB is a substantial reduction,or even eradication of covalently closed circular DNA(cccDNA).Within this context,the changes in cccDNA levels during treatment become as a pivotal concern.We have previously analyzed the factors influencing cccDNA dynamics and introduced a preliminary classification of hepatitis B treatment strategies based on these dynamics.In this review,we employ a systems thinking perspective to elucidate the fundamental aspects of the HBV replication cycle and to rationalize the classification of treatment strategies according to their impact on the dynamic equilibrium of cccDNA.Building upon this foundation,we categorize current anti-HBV strategies into two distinct groups and advocate for their combined use to significantly reduce cccDNA levels within a well-defined timeframe.

Compared with electrical neural networks,optical neural networks(ONNs)have the potentials to break the limit of the bandwidth and reduce the consumption of energy,and therefore draw much attention in recent years.By far,several types of ONNs have been implemented.However,the current ONNs cannot realize the acceleration as powerful as that indicated by the models like quantum neural networks.How to construct and realize an ONN with the quantum speedup is a huge challenge.Here,we propose theoretically and demonstrate experimentally a new type of optical convolutional neural network by introducing the optical correlation.It is called the correlated optical convolutional neural network(COCNN).We show that the COCNN can exhibit“quantum speedup”in the training process.The character is verified from the two aspects.One is the direct illustration of the faster convergence by comparing the loss function curves of the COCNN with that of the traditional convolutional neural network(CNN).Such a result is compatible with the training performance of the recently proposed quantum convolutional neural network(QCNN).The other is the demonstration of the COCNN’s capability to perform the QCNN phase recognition circuit,validating the connection between the COCNN and the QCNN.Furthermore,we take the COCNN analog to the 3-qubit QCNN phase recognition circuit as an example and perform an experiment to show the soundness and the feasibility of it.The results perfectly match the theoretical calculations.Our proposal opens up a new avenue for realizing the ONNs with the quantum speedup,which will benefit the information processing in the era of big data.
